Screencaps don’t do the animation justice... it’s not too often you see detailed paintings for every frame of something. I’m just amazed they did this in 1940
Stromboli was a fun one to watch frame by frame

Yesterday’s batch of work doodles.
The last two drawings, I took everything that drives me nuts about my old cartoons (and other cartoons out there today) and added them to Mr. JB. IN ALL SERIOUSNESS THOUGH, I love a lot of cartoons that have thin outlines, elbows and knees, little animaton, almost always on-model, and are generally flat; examples being Futurama, Rick & Morty, and quite a few others. Those are my top two amazingly-written shows. It’s not always animation and character design that make animated series great, as long as the characters and writing are amazing. EVERY cartoon has its focus! I think. Sometimes. Usually.
Also, Phillip’s “moon language” thing is a reference to joegran. I wonder how his goofy voice would fit Phillip...
Originally drawn this weekend...
but I wanted to see it digitally inked and colored.
It began as a sketch of Bugs where I accidentally made his body too small. I got carried away after that.
