Idk if it’s specific enough to actually count as a trope, but I do love those anime fights where someone is getting the absolute shit beaten out of them, but not only do they keep fighting, they're grinning the entire time.
Ochako’s relationship with Toga could, I think, reasonably be interpreted as straight. You could absolutely view her as an extremely caring straight girl who was at least partially indulging a very unstable, and very abused, girl to keep her from helping to destroy the world. I wouldn’t agree, per say, but I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
With that being said, you couldn’t deny the sapphic undertones, those are too obvious.
Toga though, she’s 110% queer, the only argument you could really have about it is whether she’s bi, pan, or something else entirely. Girly really went “I fall in love with boys and girls,” this is reaching Togata levels of coming out right there on the page.
10+ years, 430 chapters, and all it took for Momo MHA to lose that goddamn boob window that everyone’s been complaining about for years was graduate highschool.
“Bakugo is a top”
What chapter are you on? I bet you’ll really like the arc after that, it’s super popular :)
“Bakugo is a bottom and/or vers”
Oh what did you think of the final chapter? People were shitting on it when it came out, but I thought it was really good
Me before reading mha: I know how Tumblr is, those bakudeku and togaraka shippers probably overhyped the queer undertones.
Me coming into the final arc of mha:
If it wasn't already clear by the caption, this was a page drawn by the mangaka of My Hero Academia as a jjk title page back in the very beginning of the manga. Chapter 15 if I'm not mistaken.
