First batch of the color pallete results, I'll do more for my next warm ups so yall can keep requesting more stuff if you want :3
You know what makes us different from battle droids?
I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop thinking about the implication that Crosshair took that shot to protect Cody and not for the Empire really. If it was for the Empire he would have taken it immediately, not waited until Cody was being threatened with consequences. He wasn't angry with Cody afterwards for disobeying orders either, and he was clearly pissed that Cody was just another number to Rampart.
He took that shot to protect Cody first and foremost and nothing can convince me otherwise.
Hope you don't mind me tossing these tags on the post itself because I agree wholeheartedly - before this episode I actually very much got the impression from Cross that he is fine being The Bad Guy and doing the dirty work while people he cares about keep their hands relatively clean. So sure he'll let the Empire think the batch is dead (something Rampart never even thinks to question because why would he) and he'll take the shot that Cody won't because if he doesn't, Cody's possibly not going to walk out of this room, either because he's been killed for disobedience or because he's forced into doing something that would kill him internally.
I wonder how much is a sense that he's too far gone to come back, after some of his chipped actions? Just because they weren't technically his fault doesn't mean he doesn't FEEL like they're his fault. So if he's already, from his perspective, doomed, he can just. Keep taking on more crimes. He might not think he deserves to go home.

guy on coruscant that sells shitty jedi tshirts out of a shack and the order doesnt actually know about it until one day ahsoka comes in wearing the gaudiest monstrosity with obiwans face poorly printed onto it and obiwan thinks it might be the worst thing to ever happen to him until anakin comes in with an even uglier one
shitty jedi tshirt guy gets the commission of his life billed to "the 212th attack battalion"
The guy making the shirts is the guy who tried to sell Obi-wan death sticks. He went home to rethink his life and remembered his great love of art, just in time.
Everyone I cared about, my team, was gone. I was just another expendable clone waiting for my turn to be slaughtered in a war that made no sense to me. Can you understand that, Rex?
