i don't think they're setting up nandor x the guide necessarily. at least not seriously and permanently. i genuinely don't think guidor will be endgame.

but.

BUT.

not to be disrespectful, i think some of you GENUINELY overestimate the intelligence of the wwdits writers. "they're playing the long game" "well they can't openly SAY nandermo's gonna be canon can they" "whatever nandor/the guide have going on this season is DEFINITELY just going to be a cleverly disguised way to set up nandermo and NOTHING else"

OR MAYBE IT'S JUST NOT GOING TO BE CANON.

MAYBE THE WRITERS ARE JUST SETTING UP GUIDOR BECAUSE FOR SOME FUCKING REASON THEY GENUINELY THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD DIRECTION FOR THE SHOW TO GO IN.

sometimes! writers! are a bit stupid! and make stupid bad decisions!!!

not to bring it up AGAIN but bbc sherlock was literally just the writers of that show writing a love story and not realising it for four! fucking!! seasons!!!

like sure, i definitely think it's possible that the writers might just actually be that clever, and that nandermo will be endgame. but it really bothers me when some people act like there's really no other possibility.

i have not given up on nandermo. and i wont. not until the final. fucking. episode. but i have to be and AM very aware that it might never be canon and that this finale might not be what i would personally consider a proper sendoff for this show, because neither i, nor anyone in this fandom, has any control over it.

keeping your expectations at least average is the best way to avoid disappointment when things maybe don't end up turning out the way you hoped they would.

"nandor being just really fucking awful to guillermo" compilation because appearantly yall have just forgotten that they're BOTH assholes. like yeah season six guillermo is such a fucking prick at times and needs to realise that his boss sucks and that he genuinely hurt nandors feelings but also nandor has done almost equally awful things to him. bffr

like they still have overall the same or at least similar personality traits but memo is the energy vampire and colin is the human familiar/slayer

colin and lazslo get the whole dramatic romance arc and nandor and memo are just kind of there in the background becoming closer and eventually falling in love

like roommates who dont actually know eachother that well 2 oh theyre kinda friends now 2 they would die for eachother actually 2 oh my god theyre kissing now

the baby colin arc still happens w guillermo but its nadja who raises him

nandor is extremely horrified by the entire ordeal
