The streets are saying that Guillermo is showing signs of becoming an energy vampire. There’s a really good post here: Karofsky’s Guillermo is an Energy Vampire gif set

i could write you guys a fucking ESSAY about how collermo and energy vamp memo would've literally been the perfect arc for season six, a great end to the show and would've tied up both of their arcs so neatly. i'm not fucking kidding i am so mad they didn't do it.

colin is by FAR the most under-utilised, under-developed character in wwdits even with the baby colin arc, and guillermo staying human just doesn't work for me, as much as i want to convince myself it does, but making him go back on his decision to not become a vampire, after all that would literally be the stupidest ending to the show that i could think of. as much as i LIKE the idea of witch or werewolf memo that would STILL seperate him from the vampires at least a bit and force him to give up more of his humanity than he'd like to. him becoming an energy vampire wouldn't really do either of those things. he wouldn't be forced to physically harm anyone, he's be able to eat human food, he'd be a daywalker.

and we'd actually get to learn how energy vampires function, how they're created. it surprises that they never went back to that, considering colin's whole arc in season six. colin would get to learn what exactly he is, guillermo could keep his humanity and the vampires.

i don't even care about seeing these two characters in a romantic relationship, necessarily. it just feels like their relationship in general, platonic or romantic, is so weirdly- underdeveloped, considering how surprisingly similar the two are. i mean, the first season actually acknowledged that. they are both constantly forced to stay behind or are excluded because of their status as non-vampires and that SHOULD bring them closer together or at least result in some sort of conflict between them but it doesn't? neither of them really speak to eachother that much over the course of the show, and i genuinely can't think of a reason other than the wwdits writers's utter refusal to do anything interesting with colin as a character.

tldr let colin and guillermo have an actual meaningful conversation in season six. please

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you!!!

I wanted to write a Guillermo and Colin energy vampire fic, but I felt like no one likes them enough for me to write a whole fic with them as the focus? But maybe I shouldn’t care though?

Anyway, I wanted Colin and Guillermo to develop a close friendship this season or at least a mentorship kinda similar to what Guillermo and Laszlo had in season 5. Colin walks him through the process of how to be an energy vampire. How to feed effectively, how to journal his life, and whatnot. It was even on my s6 bingo card!!

If Guillermo doesn’t become an energy vampire though, I will write that fic.

you are so right i swear we like share a braincell why are there like. zero other people in this fandom that think colin should've turned guillermo into an energy vampire it's like SUCH an obvious plot idea to me

i don't think they're setting up nandor x the guide necessarily. at least not seriously and permanently. i genuinely don't think guidor will be endgame.

but.

BUT.

not to be disrespectful, i think some of you GENUINELY overestimate the intelligence of the wwdits writers. "they're playing the long game" "well they can't openly SAY nandermo's gonna be canon can they" "whatever nandor/the guide have going on this season is DEFINITELY just going to be a cleverly disguised way to set up nandermo and NOTHING else"

OR MAYBE IT'S JUST NOT GOING TO BE CANON.

MAYBE THE WRITERS ARE JUST SETTING UP GUIDOR BECAUSE FOR SOME FUCKING REASON THEY GENUINELY THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD DIRECTION FOR THE SHOW TO GO IN.

sometimes! writers! are a bit stupid! and make stupid bad decisions!!!

not to bring it up AGAIN but bbc sherlock was literally just the writers of that show writing a love story and not realising it for four! fucking!! seasons!!!

like sure, i definitely think it's possible that the writers might just actually be that clever, and that nandermo will be endgame. but it really bothers me when some people act like there's really no other possibility.

i have not given up on nandermo. and i wont. not until the final. fucking. episode. but i have to be and AM very aware that it might never be canon and that this finale might not be what i would personally consider a proper sendoff for this show, because neither i, nor anyone in this fandom, has any control over it.

keeping your expectations at least average is the best way to avoid disappointment when things maybe don't end up turning out the way you hoped they would.
