Tbh i think it’s very cute that franziska opts to call gumshoe “scruffy” and “scruffy detective” versus using his whole name. The only other people in her life she’s ever called any name rather than their full name are her father (“papa”) and miles edgeworth (“little brother”, although she DOES often use his full name, but that’s her asserting superiority I’m sure). Gumshoe has been with the von karma siblings a long time and it’s evident he feels very protective over them, so considering that and the nickname thing I’m gonna assume that despite her outward frustrations with him, she DOES see him as family or someone closer than just a coworker
