They really animated the two of them looking to each other for confirmation, checking in with one another before rushing into danger together.
They didn't need to do that but they did and I love them for it.

Chopper rolls in, wobbles a little before shocking Zeb right on the ass. The Lasat yowls and turns on his hands and haunches snarling at Chopper who worbbles a laugh at the enraged Lasat rolling down the hall as Zeb yells obscenities at the mech. “

I'm writing on the Series Overcoming once more! will have to go back and figure out what was posted for what section of the story, but this would take place after "Forgiveness" and before the one I started on Hoth. But when stuck on other stories I go back to other unfinished (or finished) to see where I left off and try to keep timelines and congruity with that series. forgot about this one and when these lines came up I just busted up laughing at work.

Every now and then, Zeb feels a little bad that they started their relationship by being enemies and fighting.

My random kallus headcanon is he isn't a native basic speaker, like he can read, write, and speak space Russian, he did learn basic as a street language but he didn't learn to read and write it until later like teens or just before joining the empire, he still finds the language dumb
Tbh in my brain Kallus was one of those kids raised bilingual but his nosy ass only ever uses that skill anymore to listen in on other ppls convos
