Supermoon
This is the day of the Summer Solstice, called Litha on the Celtic Calendar - the longest daylight in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s a time of celebration of the coming of summer - and yet, for me, a time that is bittersweet, knowing that, after about 10 days, the sun will begin its gradual retreat to the south, each day shortening in light just a minute or two, then speeding up more quickly after the (dreaded) Autumn Equinox. The light comes, the light goes; blessed be the light.
