mine's from my favorite constellation, 61 cygni, which is a binary star in the larger constellation Cygnus. it's also very tiny, hence the pygmi bit.

I'll try to keep this short, we use different words here so I'm trying to make this make sense in English and especially for the Americans and Brits that are prob most of my following. But it's combining chai + aesthetics.

Cha/chai is tea in a few cultures, mainly Asian (do look up the etymology of tea if you're a linguistics nerd, it's interesting imo).

My parents aren't white (mum's "mixed") and I'm a pretty random "mix" that I doubt there's much of on here. When I was a teenager my mum found out what a 'dirty chai latte' is (coffee added to chai syrup and milk). She has a lot of internalised racism and thought the "mixing" was gross and said that's what I was like, before that I was a "mutt".

It stuck with me and I think a lot about identity politics, the way people are expected to look and act when being from minority cultures (culture comes up a lot in my non-tumblr writing work). So the 'aesthetics' of it and I liked how 'chaithetics' sounded.

I feel like I know about most of my mutuals? But @starbunnyonfilm I think I can guess but I'd love to read you talk about it! Same with @taissaswifelowkey and @megamindsecretlair

Whew. I was on tumblr back in the 2013-2014 days before fanfiction was a huge thing on here. I was mostly there for gifs of Sherlock (and as a bonus I still have that random Tumblr Sherlock-inspired song on my iPod lol)

When tumblr announced the porn ban, idk what i was smoking on. I thought it meant tumblr was shutting down for good. But then I got back into Sims during covid and knew that tumblr was still around but juss never bothered to explore.

Last year, my friend asked if I had one and I said yes and ended up discovering a whole world on here lol. I was reading mostly white-coded fanfic and I thought, yknow, I could make a new tumblr and share my writing. I wanted a blog where no one knew me, no one knows it's me, I wanna sink or swim based on just my writing. And when I discovered x black reader? Baby, I never looked back.

And i had juss read a post about someone completely misunderstanding Megamind and the story. They tried to call him sexist and all kinds of BS and I was like nooooo. So megamind stuck in my brain. Chuz ya I'm often misunderstood and I overexplain a lot (as in this post)

And i thought well, I like the secret part. I didn't tell anyone irl either for the longest. My cousin knows now. And I juss went with the dastardly, villainy, underground, spy theme of it all. So it became MegamindSecretLair. 😁

It was supposed to be a placeholder name but ppl started referring to me as Mega and i love it so I don't want to change it.

the lovely @megamindsecretlair tagged me. I assumed as much but it is nice to have a little background on the secret lair portion! I'd love to explain mine.

Long ago, a friend said in passing, “You are so tiny, yet filled with chaos. Like a little chaos baby.” and it stuck. The number four is a nod to my first husband Ulquiorra Cifer from Bleach. Oh and my voice is verrrrrrrrrrrry soft and high pitch... I literally sound like a baby.

I live up to my nickname. 🖤✨

Well... I guess I could simply talk about where "Naoko" comes from since for naoko-world I simply put Naoko with "world" because I wanted this Tumblr to show my little world.

When I was a kid, my little french eyes watched a lot of cartoons on the french tv and one stood out to me : Sakura chasseuse de cartes.

Growing up I learned that it was actually japanese and, originally, a manga... Which I didn't believe at first but I could find and buy it, which was actually called outside of the animated series "Card Captor Sakura"!

From that point I rediscovered the series... While I was a teen in her puberty age! And my mind went WILD!

I started dreaming of stories, which I decided to write before wanting to post it. But where? And under what name? At the time I didn't have any consistent one, one I'd choose to identify myself online so I had to think.

I ended up choosing Naoko, which is the name of the character I felt was the closest to who I was.

So I chose it and it stayed! Now I feel it's as much my real name than my actual name so I'm using it everywhere!

Many years ago, I had a phase when I really liked dragonflies. So I looked through Wikipedia to find a nice-sounding scientific name. And I found the name Aeshna, which is a genus of large dragonflies.

I got Lacrymosa from the Evanescence song “Lacrymosa,” which samples the opening strings of Mozart’s Lacrimosa movement from his Requiem Mass.

Luisa has grown a lot since their last meeting, but Bruno still has to explain his smolness.

Looking at children photos shown in the movie, Pepa and Luisa look the most genuinely enthusiastic about their gifts and generally upbeat. I like to assume, both middle sisters in their childhood years were an energetic tomboy type with a (not so hidden) sensitive girly streak.

Pointless trivia: model for “kid Pepa” in the photos is based on the two identical-looking kids with hats, boy and girl (twins?) from Mirabel’s entourage. Luisa’s model seems to be the same used for a boy in the ruana with the same pattern as kid Bruno’s in flashback.

You can see someone else also using the devices' second seat, and I think that's so cool. Mobility devices help everyone, here other employees also get a chance to sit while they're working. I just love mobility aids, man. It's like the cut curb effect

I think we need to start telling the “I’m too poor to dress punk” crowd that they’re posers.

Think you’re too poor for punk? Check secondhand stores for old clothes that might fit, look at fabric & craft stores for cheap shirts your size to personalize, take old clothes you don’t like and rip holes and sew patches onto it. Fuck capitalism, make it yourself.

How to get a punk outfit:

Looking up the prices where I'm from, the tools for this (the dog and scissors excluded) are roughly 12 euros altogether. And if you can't afford to buy a box of fabric dye and a packet of safety pins, I believe that the tradition is shoplifting. And if you can't afford the tools, can't steal them, and can't ask a friend to steal them for you, you're not too poor to dress punk. You're too much of a coward.
