Inch. Resting also KNEECAP are far more interesting and vital a band than Oasis
NOEL GALLAGHER TEXTED BOB GELDOF THE MEME THAT SAID ‘sorry, while you were waiting in the queue, Oasis have split up’ 😭😭😭💀
This one
Edit: clips from Rockonteurs. Here is Gary Kemp talking about sending Bob Geldof the meme only to hear he'd already been sent it by Noel himself
And in case you're interested, Here is Guy and Gary's entire chat about Oasis, talking about the significance of this reunion, lineup speculation, the brothers, urm, ticket prices and of course this meme :)
I need someone who knows the histories and lore to tell me why Oasis picked Cage The Elephant as openers. Do they go back a long way? Supported each other before? It's wild how the UK/IE openers are still wide open but they've decided on the NA openers even before announcing the tour
Why Cage The Elephant? They’ve been announced as the North American supports to Oasis
RAAAHHH OASIS TORONTO ANNOUNCED

Oasis, the iconic British rock band formed in Manchester in 1991, has left an indelible mark on the music world. Oasis is known for their anthemic songs. help i’m crying
With all the misogyny going around the oasis fandom right now, I want to share this:
cc:
Noel Gallagher: This is another thing. In the early years, it was all girls at our gigs. And then this laddish thing took over.
Jill Furmanovsky: Yeah, that's true actually.
Noel: Then the girls all started to move a little bit further back and then all of a sudden you are just playing to a load of fucking geezers. I don't care what anyone says, it's not as much fun.
[this is from Jill Furmanovsky's No Music No Life exhibition from a few months ago]
Liam genuinely hasn’t tweeted himself ever since the announcement lol. This man’s twitter was actually just a 15 year distraction from not having Oasis around. He got his brother back and just fucking quit Twitter once and for all
So apparently Liam Gallagher has been leaving one seat empty in all his shows in the past 15 years with a sign, "reserved for Noel Gallagher" in the hope that his brother might show up one day and hears him sing again???
I am actually SOOO disappointed this week's Elis and John show was an emergency prerecorded timeless pod. Gutted. I was salivating thinking of how the Oasis announcement was Tuesday 8 AM and by Tuesday afternoon we'd have had Elis and John recording the podcast. Even if they were recording it early on the Monday, what I'd have given to hear Elis and especially Dave's raw reaction to the Oasis reunion news: the rumours or the confirmation.
Dave would've been sobbing on record. Him and Elis will both absolutely go, I bet Dave would find a way to make sure he'll be at one or many of the Manchester shows, he and Hannah simply have to. I'm hoping we still get to hear him for the Friday show, even though he'll have had a few days to let it all sink in.
Personally I'm happy about the Oasis reunion but really what I'm doing with my life is waiting to vicariously live through the sheer hysterical joy Dave Masterman will be experiencing. We got a small peak into the Master-mind yesterday:
The producerly Reithian language leaving Dave's body as soon as Oasis are announced. I can. not. fucking. Wait.
A picture that encapsulates the whole reason for the UK 90s music scene, in one picture. Posted by Johnny Marr
Liam has not tweeted since the announcements. Dude genuinely just got so happy he has his brother back that he ditched Twitter altogether, huh?
