Friday is here, so I've got another Song-To-Go poll hot n' ready to go for you!

If you're new, hello and welcome! Song-To-Go is a weekly song poll released every Friday where I present you with new, lesser-known songs to listen to while you scroll.

This week, I've picked out downtempo lesbian indie with lyrics that still eat my brain, feminist queer punk from Belfast, cool modern indie with the Bass up loud, a brand new post punk album I am obsessed, obsessed, obsessed with right now and Portuguese-Welsh folky indie. It’s quite indie this week.

This week's picks are all about rock and weird but really catchy indie (and the one ska punk track). What other genres do you want to hear in the next few weeks?

I think I'll also keep a running playlist of everything I've posted so far, plus others I'm planning to use for upcoming weeks because honestly, I don't really feel like there's a magician's cloth I'm pulling back to reveal songs. I think that Father Of All… would’ve probably been considered a really good album if it was anyone BUT Green Day’s album. Seemed kinda foreshadowed by Green Day’s own legacy, it was a catchy album. Were this a new band we’d have been talking about how cool the dance punk vibe was. Or maybe we weren’t yet that into ‘new rock’. A lot of that seemed to happen through and after the pandemic.
