there’s something about an AMAZING landscape photo, plus a horses ears that sends me over the edge, I honestly probably wouldn’t have though twice about this photo without the horse in it. (Don’t get me wrong, it’s BEAUTIFUL, the horse just makes it a million times better for me)

Native wild animals engaging in natural animal behaviors?!?! I'm shocked!

Javelinas aka Collared Peccaries, are closely related to but aren’t pigs (they’re from the family Tayassuidae aka ‘New world pigs’, whereas pigs and relatives are from the family Suidae, but both are part of the suborder Suina aka swine). They are the most common species of peccary, found from the southwestern USA to northern Argentina, and are listed as “Least Concern” by the IUCN.
