It's funny how antis hold the "dragons plant no trees" quote against Dany when:
1. It's said to her during an very difficult time for her . She's dehydrated and hungry, exhausted and ill and has a miscarriage. She literally has hallucinations, so ofc some of them would talk about her biggest insecurities.
2. Which leads me to my second point. The fact that she constantly self doubt herself and her ways of leading, says a lot about her character and how seriously she takes the responsibilities of being a ruler. She went from almost dying in the desert to a queen in a couple of months, she has achieved so much on such a young age but that alone isn't enough for her. She feels obligated to be a good ruler for the people she's responsible for. I'm not saying she's a flawless ruler who never makes a single mistake bc that would be unrealistic and it's not in Martin's style to write characters who succeed in everything effortlessly. What I'm saying is that she tries really hard to be a good and just ruler and she's successful for the most part and yet still doubts herself and feels she's should have done more. And honestly that's more than what can be said about any of the other King candidates back in Westeros.
3. Finally, with her actions she has "planted more trees" than any of those antis faves.
