244,000 acres of pure awesomeness! Badlands National Park was the first national park we visited and it did not disappoint. we made the mistake of hiking up one of these sharply eroded buttes that almost got us killed. after climbing up 150 feet, getting back down was almost impossible as these buttes are not meant to be climbed or even stand on :o
but these photos proved to us that the risk was well worth it.

on our way to Badlands National Park, we came across some beautiful fields along I-90 in South Dakota. instinctively we pulled over to explore a bit and Danielle was even brave enough to take some shots in the center of the road! fun fun fun!
