Oh my god I need you to lore dump about your newest Sim “the seer”. He’s beautiful and I’m in love with how ethereal he looks.
i will tell you a little. i didn't have time to flesh him out in my mind yet, so there's some general things about him
he can see people's futures. well, some events of them. it happened randomly and spontaneously throughout his childhood, later he learned to control it to some extent.
he wasn't popular during his childhood, other kids and some adults thought he was "terrifying" because he would say something like "you will break your arm" out of the blue, while staring at a person with unseeing white eyes, and people thought he made those things happen to them. he only learned to keep it to himself in his late teenage years, and to keep his eyes closed, because he sees things more often and more overwhelmingly when he "looks" at a person.
he spent a lot of time with his older sister when he was little, and his favorite thing was to make up stories. they would lie under the blanket and create a story together, taking turns in making up sentences. he still loves it and would gladly do it if someone was willing to humor him.
he knows some spells, because his abilities are hereditary and considered a form of innate magic, so he had to apply to a magic school (not morgyn's), but he wasn't an avid learner or a talented spellcaster. he barely ever uses spells and trusts his own hands more.
his blindness is incurable, every seer in his lineage was born blind. the eyesight is the price they pay for seeing the future.
he has acute hearing and great memory. he will always know it's you even if you're under the polymorph spell and speak in someone else's voice, because he knows the exact pattern of your footsteps. that being said, most of the time he will choose to keep it to himself and play along.
he warms up milk, cookies and other baked pastries because he likes when they're warm. he loves warm in general and catches a cold easily, so he starts wearing a huge wooly scarf the day early frosts come.
he's a bit of a recluse, because seeing and feeling things about people around him can be overwhelming, and also because his gift never made it easier for him, whenever anyone asked about their future and he told them something they didn't want to hear, they got unhappy with him as if he was manifesting it somehow.
he has an unexplainable awareness of things that he cannot see. for example, he can ask "isn't there a house up that hill?" even though he's never been there and never heard that there is a hill to start with.
people assume that the raven he often has around is his familiar or companion, but nope, it's just a common raven that he caught stealing and eventually started feeding. he trained it to respond to a few different patterns of tongue clicks, but other than that, the raven comes and goes as it pleases.
