Thoughts
The past 3 pocket notebooks, (yeah I know one of them is a literal stack of papers, I got lazy.) and some current reads, and rereads. There has been much to write about as of recent.
pages from my commonplace/journal. Kafka and Camus are all I think about nowadays...it could be worse.
its been a minute. these from my current pocket journal (leuchtturm 1917, dot grid) lots of love poetry and Kafka...that's all I can ask for in life I think.
Last night was my first time hearing Judith Weir's The Big Picture in concert. Cut and pasted some of the lyrics from my two favorite movements, Green and Blue. The lyrics in the pieces are often poems that revolve around color, (which is the whole overarching theme actually) Green features a poem by King Henry VIII, and Blue is based off of The Man With the Blue guitar by Wallace Stevens. Very cool. I ought to find more choir concerts to attend.

biased interpretations, book #16.
featuring a monthly overview! I'm hoping to better organize my life in terms of events. I've never been good at keeping up a planner, but I think this is a good no-stress planner alternative. it's called an "everything book" for a reason
notebook is the Fabriano Inspira (A6) in black
goodbye to book 15, March 11 2024- April 3 2024
a few pages of my first ever pocket notebook. I'm quite satisfied with my experience. I think i'll use pocket notebooks going forward, they fit my journaling habits better than a big notebook. as someone who's writing 24/7, I appreciate the portability.
goodbye to book 13, January 21-February 25. 35 days right?
Forgot to show these guys off; daily Journals 12 and 13. The red Moleskine was finished in about a month, the black A6 Stalogy 1/2 year notebook (my current favorite) has been on the front lines for maybe 2 weeks, and we're already about 1/3 of the way through! my notebooks are just getting smaller and smaller lol. I'm a big fan of the Stalogy though, unlike the Moleskine the paper takes fountain pen like a champ.
journal hopped because i got myself a Moleskine a while ago and forgot about it teehee. technically i switched January second but i forgot about that too 😁👍
The stars aligned tonight, for the first time ever i'm starting a new journal on December 31st! unfortunately, i am now into minimalist end page decoration 💔. hopefully i'll grow out of it soon. maybe i'll show my collection of cool end pages from my journals. also happy new year folks
There's a tiny beach in a secret little nook in my local state park. perfect place for a lonely writing date to ponder existence.
A year and a half, 12 journals (we don't talk about journal 1) just me and them against the whole world :)
reading back on my personal little archive, I've grown so much. both in writing style and as a person. you can also see where I've stuck my nose up at the Walmart brand notebook and graduated to the Leuchtturm1917. ✸
my current journal setup until i run out of room. Leuchtturm1917 in B6+ with a rip-off travelers notebook cover that my cousin made. cool thing is, i have an insert that holds stuff and doubles as a wallet! so now i have my commonplace, journal, wallet, my memory keeping stuff, and a wallet! *insert yippee sound effect here*
