another amazing green lake sunset
seattle washington
Two geese families gang-brooding their goslings to add some extra protection for all those vulnerable little fuzzy wuzzy cutie pies. It’s so touching to see, as well awe inspiring. Nature is amazing, complex as it is simple. I’m always humbled.
Green Lake, Seattle Washington May 2020
Per bioone.org:
Some Canada Geese raise their broods by themselves (two-parent families), while others raise them in gang broods, defined as two or more broods amalgamated into a single cohesive unit and shepherded by four or more parents.
I’m not crying you are 🥺
