28. What is the worst case scenario to you, right now?

She swallows hard, eyes darting back and forth as scenes play in her mind. "Um. I-I guess...I guess the worst would be...the, the people from the facility, the government or whoever, decides I need to be locked up again, and...and comes for me. I mean, they can do it whenever, they..." She scratches at the little white scar on her right arm. "They a-always know where I am.

"I mean...there are a lot of other bad things that can happen. The team could...kick me out, I could be homeless again. They could, um, find out about...about what my power does to me, and decide they can't use me anymore. But going back to the facility would be the worst." She nods a little, dropping her gaze, still scratching her arm. "I'd much rather be homeless again than go back there."

Cadence would be the quickest to beg, if only she were allowed to.

Ellery is not far behind her, but she doesn’t often since it does her no good.

Liliana would maybe beg in certain situations but her automatic response is to freeze and not speak.

Adelaide only begs when she’s incredibly weak.

If Jacob were to “beg” it would be in a very roundabout, snarky way that wouldn’t sound like begging at all. It would probably take the immediate threat of death to make him actually beg.
