If engaging in activism in person, organizing aid societies or participating in them, fighting political fights or otherwise putting boots on the ground is daunting to you - hey great news! You don't have to!

Give them money instead.

Whatever cause you choose to focus on - and it's fine to pick just one - I promise there is an organization out there already doing the work you think needs to be done. I am very grateful for all the millions of people who have the personality and the gumption to get out there and do the real work, because I don't. But those people already have the connections, the networks, the personnel. The best thing you can do for them? Give them money. They know how to best leverage it in the way that you don't.

It can be five dollars a month. ONE dollar a month. Whatever you can spare. But whatever it is, make it a monthly automatic payment. That way they know they can depend on it.

I'm considering adding some abortion access groups. I'm definitely adding Lambda Legal (an LGBT legal defense society). You can see what I've chosen to focus on is civil and queer rights, and reproductive rights. This doesn't mean I don't care about other things! But don't spread yourself too thin.

We are often urged to "do something" in the face of despair. I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be knocking on doors or marching in protests or writing postcards. It can be those things - doing something concrete can provide a lot of satisfaction - but tbh one of the most effective ways to participate in activism is to financially support the professionals. And you can magnify this work by sharing links, spreading news, and urging others to donate, too.

As a disabled person who cannot physically protest for many reasons. Being able to still use my voice to try & create change is the best thing any of us can do.

This fight isn't over. It's just beginning. We now need to pull together as a community.

91 Days left with Joe Biden in office. 91 days we have to get to work! Take today to grieve if you need to. I know I myself have been shedding tears for 6 hours on & off as the weight of what I have personally been placed on the chopping block for, as well as for all the people like me, sets in.

This is truthfully a disgrace upon every single solitary American who voted for Trump. A convicted felon, a rapist, a man who said he wanted to sleep with his own daughter! Who hates women, anyone & everyone of color, the disabled community, the queer community. Anyone who isn't a white cis heterosexual man.

A man filled with hatred, who has committed henious and immoral behavior, has just won the 2024 presidential election.

But we the people with common sense, empathy, compassion for our neighbors and people who may differ from us, will keep on fighting!

This isn't over. We will resist what he pushes onto us! We will continue to use our voices, spread the word about what he's done, who he truly is and all of the awful plans he has in store for our country.

This isn't over, it didn't end, our fight continues on. Take some time to grieve the loss of the hope we had. To feel the anger and frustration about people who voted against our lives, rights and civil liberty. Then get back up friends. Because we have 91 days.

Honestly I'm glad to hear Biden dropped out. I think Trump also needs to drop out as well. We need younger candidates. We need new bright ideas. People who can relate to the majority of the population which is the younger population. The people who are being long term affected by the acts of these politicians.

I'm an independent leftist. But I wasn't going to vote for Biden to begin with. Because he's promosing to do things he could've and should have already done years ago. He's too old, he's supported Israel in their disgusting Genocide. I wouldn't give him my vote. But I wouldn't have given it to Trump either. Never!

We need candidates who understand the REAL current issues, not made up ones. And take authentic, prompt action.

With this current change I don't know where I currently stand when it comes to whom I'm voting for come November. I'm going to need to see these politicians putting in work and speaking facts not fiction. Caring about real world issues not fantasy.

Please register to vote if you haven't already. Voting is the only chance we have. We must do something for those of us who can't flee the current awful state of our country. We must fix what the older generations have shattered.

With international attention focused on Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Israel is violently and rapidly stealing more and more Palestinian land in the West Bank.

Israel’s most genocidal leaders are seeing through plans to force as many Palestinians out of their homes as possible in order to ensure they can never return.

“For every country that unilaterally recognizes a Palestinian state, we will establish a [illegal] settlement,” said Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

Let’s be clear, stealing Palestinians land has been Israel’s goal since day 1. It’s illegal, it’s wrong, and it must be stopped.

No one is above international law. The Biden administration should be pushing Israel to abide by international law, not enabling its war crimes against Palestinians.

Like all people, Palestinians deserve to be safe and free in their homes.
