How much does air pollution contribute to the spread of diseases ? Will diseases in the future have severe impacts of air pollution gets worse?
Hi! I’m a recent infectious disease graduate and I was wondering, do you think that the sudden increase in usage of anti-microbials, especially broad spectrum store-brand sprays in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic, will play a role in accelerating the impending antimicrobial resistance pandemic that we’re already on the cusp of? x
How authentic the latest update on covid that it can spread through air? If true how to take precautions against it? Thanks and stay safe doc
I know it’s hard to control COVID, but what is the best way to calm anyone (patient or professional) who is struggling mentally? How have you been able to handle it?
Why are some people who contract COVID asymptomatic? Does that mean they have stronger immune system? Or did they contract a weaker strain but the tests do not distinguish the virus from the more virulent strain contracted by a person who manifested full blown symptoms?
Do you think it's a good idea to open schools and universities, or do you think this will increase the cases of Covid-19 to the point that hospitals will be overwhelmed?
Realistically, is it okay if I hang out with close friends? Do I need to wear a mask when doing so?
Do you believe COVID-19 will ever truly go away? If so, how long do you believe we could be in the pandemic?
I'm a female doctor in Australia. I've recently graduated this year and found it quite stressful with the current COVID situation, thankfully we are not too bad here. I wonder how do you keep your power as a female doctor? As I have often felt undermined or not taken seriously. For example, often not listened to/ or am assumed to be allied health rather than the doctor!
Dear Doctor, how long do you think we need to develop the vaccine or cure for COVID-19? Why does Covid look much more serious than SARS and flu? Thank you for answering!
I see a lot of my friends on social media out partying and not taking any safety precautions. They think I’m overreacting and that the pandemic is basically over. How do I convince them that this is something we need to take seriously?

Not really a question, but I love how you always speak up for what's right on social media and you're not afraid to show it
Thank YOU! I appreciate that.
Hi there, um, I'd like to say that I weigh's work has done a lot for me in terms of self esteem and I can't thank you enough Yet, I know that as an advocate for those bullied, you must be mistreated and bullied yourself. In those times, do you ever feel like giving up, like "I've suffered my share, this is too much, I can't do it", do you ever have those moments, and if so, how do you get over them?
There are definitely moments where I get overwhelmed because there is so much to do. I want to help everyone, I want to fix everything and the world is such a mess right now. It’s hard to know where to start. But I just try to calm myself down by remembering that nothing changes overnight.
The only logical approach is community and brick-by-brick progress. Think big but start small. A slow and steady relentless push back is how we are going to win.
Jameela hi! I love you so much. Quick question: as a woman who is often scrutinized for being so vocal about her opinions, you use that scrutiny to voice your opinions more. Where does that confidence come from?
My drive comes from having had such a difficult and unhappy life and wanting to make sure that no one ever suffers the way I did, ever again. At any cost I’ll speak up, speak out and try to change things.
How did you manage to become so confident and happy with your body while still being on social media?
I’m not confident or happy with my body. I just don’t engage with my body. I can’t do positivity about something I have been so negative about. Our bodies are always under attack from society so it’s a bit of a stretch to expect us all to actively love them yet. I instead practice body neutrality. I don’t look in the mirror. I just put on my clothes and go. It has freed me. I’m so much happier now and more productive. I have more time in the day for interesting thoughts and ideas now that I’m not obsessing over whether I love or hate my body.
