I know Spencer and Aria weren't going to die in this episode obviously, but this scene really just broke my heart. I don't know what it was, but props to the director, it really gave that genuine feeling that this was their end. The progression of the glass freezing, Aria's hand pressed against the glass and then the shot of Emily's face, and that thought of watching your best friends die right in front of your eyes. It was such a devastating scene. One of my favorites for sure.
BUT WHY DIDN'T SPARIA FREEZE TO DEATH TOGETHER? WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE HAD A TITANIC MOMENT THEN? WHY DID YOU DEPRIVE ME OF THIS ENDING, PLL?
if pretty little liars was a whole new show, it would be a comedy about four really close friends who begin to see that some of them might or might not be gay? But one thing they know for sure, one of them is lying about it.
oh, it would also be on fox.

Spencer ran and continued to run without purpose until her legs gave up and her heart felt heavy in her chest, and she found herself deep into the woods. And she fell down and looked at the ground and saw her hand and her sleeve and the little button on the sleeve and some dirt and an old acorn and she said to herself, "Okay, if this is the last thing that you ever see I can handle that. I'm done. I've had enough. But it wasn't the last thing that I saw. I just kept going. But how do you keep going when the worst thing has happened?"
I love the look Spencer is giving Aria because it is literally identical to the one Aria is giving Ezra and what Ezra is giving Aria. I miss them so much. I still can't believe they haven't had an exclusive scene with just the three of them.
