Ahh oh my god that's so frustrating!!! Lost Souls is so good too. I love that you enjoyed Reviver and love Jonah as much as I do!!! That makes me so happy. Nonny if you wanted to direct message me privately I may or may not have a pdf or an epub of Lost Souls I could send you. I have to look at my library but I'm fairly certain I've got it.

YES!!!! Oh my god nonny you have no idea how excited I am right now. I really really hope you enjoy them!! The premise is so cool. It's a paranormal/horror/crime solving/action adventure kind of story. It was discovered that some people have the ability to bring the dead back to life temporarily and now revivers work with the police to solve murders and suspicious death and to get any last messages for their loved ones and are called Forensic Revivers and the main character Jonah is the best there is and he discovers a deep convoluted plot i love it. And it's soooo full of whump. Jonah feels sick every time he does a revival, he passes out several times, and then the torture part I shared. All the characters are really interesting too. I had a delightful time reading both Reviver and Lost Souls and I really hope you do too!!! There's a third one too but I haven't read it yet. Gotta go get that from the library.

Okay I just finished book 2 of the Reviver series by Seth Patrick (book 2 is called Lost Souls) and there was a torture scene and it was SO GOOD!!! Caught me completely off guard and I enjoyed it immensely. Main character was hit on the head and woke up strapped to a medical table, his friend gone. Finds out his friend was taken to the other room. Then the torturer had this serum that ignited the pain sensors in one’s body without causing damage to the person (a personal favorite of mine for fanfic that I’ve only seen in fanfic!). He used it briefly on the main character and it was so good BUT he then ordered it to be used on his friend in the other room. Main Character can’t see his friend but he can hear the screams through an intercom.

IT WAS SO GOOD YOU GUYS!!!! Best torture scene I personally have ever read in a published book.

I'm reading this book called Reviver by Seth Patrick and it's pretty whumpy. It's a crime/horror kind of book about this guy Jonah who is a forensic reviver. Revivers are people who can bring back the recent dead to allow them to speak one last time. Jonah does revivals for crimes. Those who are murdered or died suspiciously. Things happen after a tough revival and get creepy. The book is so good!

Anyway, he is whumped basically the whole book. Each time he does a revival he's nauseous, dizzy, exhausted. One time it was so bad he threw up, passed out and woke up in the hospital two days later. Jonah has nightmares, wakes up crying (he actually cries often and I love it). And he gets shot too and it's bad! His friend Never gets whumped a bit too and it's great.

And I found out there's a sequel too! Woo!!
