The unaired pilot of "Rex Is Not Your Lawyer"
I watched this pilot a few months ago, and I am 100% certain this scene was not included...So now I'm really confused. 😭
I've figured it out! There are, apparently, two different versions of the pilot! One (the director's cut?) is over 46 minutes long, and the other (which I found on YouTube) is about 42 minutes. The whole first 15-20 minutes of the 41-minute cut is surprisingly rather different to the other version, with changes to lines, scenes, etc., and then there are other differences throughout, including this scene in the pool. And for anyone who really wants to see it, this scene appears at about 26:45!
THERE'S TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS!?!?! AND ONE IS LONGER THAN THE ONE I FOUND?!? WHAT?!?! Oh now I have to go watch the other one! I had no idea! Every video I found was the same version! Now I gotta go find the other one! I was wondering why so many people had no idea about this scene lol

I'm sitting here seething over the fact that Rex Is Not Your Lawyer didn't get picked up for a full season because we could have had a whole series of David Tennant having panic attacks and collapsing to the floor!!! A WHOLE SHOW OF IT!! AND THEY DIDN'T PICK IT UP!!! I'M DYING!!! ONE EPISODE AND WE GOT ALL THESE COLLAPSES!!
