“I’ll tell you something, I wrote this particular scene at 2 o’clock in the morning in my kitchen and I wrote ‘age of the geek, brother’ and I started crying at my counter. It was one of those moments where I’m like, am I really writing this scene?” - John Rogers, The Long Goodbye Job DVD Commentary

Whumptober 2022 Day 6: Ransom Video
Just a classic 'steal the hitter and try to bargain with his partners for something they have that bad guys want'
Maybe he gets kidnapped after the carnival job, while he's already weakened, and the ransom is for the chip that they just retrieved and returned to its maker. Nate and Sophie are out at dinner when the video comes through, so it's just Hardison and Parker who see it first.

Whumptober 2022 Day 5: Blood Loss
After the OT3 get back to the hotel post-rundown job, Eliot goes to patch himself up alone (I presume ambulance guy only bandaged and nothing else), but shortly after parting with the others, he passes out from exhaustion and blood loss.
[ID: Sketch of Parker, Hardison and Eliot. Parker, who is holding her pink parachute, and Hardison are turning in surprise towards Eliot, who has his head tipped forward, eyes closed, and is falling sideways. He's wearing Hardison's hoodie and has messed up hair and a bruise on his cheek. End ID]

Whumptober 2022 Day 1: Adverse Effects
Eliot still suffering with the effects of whatever Sterling drugged him with. He gets cold on the way back to the hotel (I'm guessing they go back to their hotel after the heist), and it's obvious enough that something's wrong when he doesn't reject Hardison giving him his hoodie, and then after they get out of the van, Eliot passes out not long after trying to take a few steps.
Or, in short, Sterling is going to find his computers and phones and everything with an operating system overloaded with viruses within the next few days while Eliot continues to suffer an adverse reaction to the drug.
[ID: Sketch of Eliot, Parker and Hardison from Leverage. Eliot is lying unconscious in a pool of blood with various wounds visible over his body. Hardison is crouching beside him, holding his phone in one hand and the other resting on Eliot's shoulder, looking up and forward. Parker is in front of them both, standing up and holding a stun gun straight ahead. End ID]

Fine. Miss Law and Order did all right.
But she still bothers you.
Not her.

You kids stop fighting or we will turn this van around
The trio holding hands to die for kirashapedgirl.
They didn’t go for the cliche choice and have Parker holding Hardison. Both Hardison and Parker reach for Eliot. No wonder, when John Rogers was asked if this scene made OT3 canon, he said “You’re welcome.” So many feels.
#THIS FUCKING SCENE #THE HANDHOLDING #LEVERAGE SPOILERS #OKAY OKAY OKAY BUT CAN I JUST POINT OUT #THAT HARDISON IS ASKING WHERE ELIOT IS RIGHT BEFORE THIS #AND ELIOT’S LAST WORDS ARE ‘AGE OF THE GEEK BROTHER’ #AND THEN THEY HOLD HANDS #AND THEN PARKER TAKES ELIOT’S HAND AND HOLDS IT TO HER CHEST #AND THAT’S HOW THEY GO OUT #THEY GOT INTO THIS TOGETHER AND THEY WON’T EVEN BE SEPARATED NOW #JUST RIP MY HEART OUT; I WASN’T USING IT ANYWAY (via @mad-madam-m)
