PETER PAN (2003) dir. P. J. Morgan
You broke the rules. You went to the above world. A man was drowning. I had to save him.
The Little Mermaid trailer is here! And they included my fav. scene!
Every whumper was thinking of this when they announced the remake of The Little Mermaid, don’t lie!
Because I’m pretty curious: if you’re one of the whumpers who liked whump since you were a kid, what are some of the defining whump moments you remember enjoying from childhood shows/books/whatever?
I know there are tons but the moments that immediately come to mind are:
The Hardy Boys books. Specifically the one when Joe falls through the ice.
The Mirror Card episode of Cardcaptor Sakura when Toya falls off the cliff. Oh and the episode when Syaoran is hurt by the Fight Card
The 1990s TMNT movies when Raphael is hurt and unconscious
The clocktower scene in the Great Mouse Detective
The scene in Aladdin when he nearly drowns
I’m reblogging this again because it popped up in my head and honestly after 10 years (also HOW has it been 10 years??? This came out last year) I’m still in looooove with this scene! Look how The Bitch chains him up. She clamps the cuff together and pulls him closer to her to threaten him and it pulls on his wound and yeah he reacts but he looks up at her with weary eyyyeeessss and my heart BEATS, bro. And every movement hurts and Rapunzel (wifeyyy) is there worrying over him and comforting him and the lady saves the guy which I much prefer over the opposite.
In conclusion, I fuckin LOVE this scene and I’m in desperate need for this to have a live action version. Thank you for reading my essay lol.
Lol ok don’t come for me but the Michael bay ninja turtles movie is.... surprisingly a GREAT whump movie
My friend I love TMNT and have always loved TMNT whump. Always. However I haven’t seen the Michael Bay ones yet! If you say it’s whumpy I’m gonna HAVE to watch it now!!!! It’s going on my list!!
May I recommend you check out the 2007 cartoon TMNT movie? Cause it’s fantastic! There’s great Leo whump in it and angsty brooding Raphael.
And of course movie wise NOTHING beats the original 1990s trilogy. Those are the best and I’ll fight you on that.
Now I need to go do a TMNT movie marathon!
