Warmup sketch. Been on the Victuuri sick fic lately, sooo…
That time Danny gave away those once-in-a-lifetime seats to be with Steve at the hospital for a minor injury…
And guess what? Look at him sighing and smiling in the last gif: he’s happy where he is…

[Spoilers] Manhandling, passing out, groaning in pain, distorted/blurred vision, confusion, worried!ward, In this scene they get an anaesthesiologist to treat Danny when he really should go to the hospital….
favorite damn trope in the history of ever:
monsters, or characters who view themselves as monsters, being touched and/or treated gently for the first time in their life.
just
Are you hurt? Yeah. A little.
Look at her low-key doing a primary assessment on him though.
She’s not just patting him down to see where he flinches, she’s systematically checking him. Like, he admitted to being hurt and she’s halfway to activating the trauma team.
He’s standing and talking to her- airway, breathing, pulse? Check.
He’s conscious, he’s referenced himself, his relationship to her, and what’s going on, and vague timing between mentioned events so let’s go with Alert and Oriented X 4. Looks in his eyes, notes pupils abnormal at baseline. Coolio.
Alrighty then let’s start with he head. Remove hood under pretense of being caring and run fingers through hair checking for blood and palpable deformity. None. Phew.
Okay, now neck. He’s standing but let’s be sure because even if she found him peacefully asleep in bed she’d instinctively get c-spine on him. Nothing deformed or bleeding or swelling there either, even though she can’t be certain that means everything’s alright. He’s been walking around with no issue so she’ll take it.
Clavicles intact, Ribs… not so much.
Again, standing, so pelvis and femurs are probably stable. Kinda hard to die quickly from everything else, so…
So far its just the ribs and she’s pretty sure he’d protest if she ordered him onto a table and cut his clothes off, so she settles for “he’s not bleeding out” and goes about her day.
These are the scenes that make me think Rosario Dawson actually moonlights as an emergency nurse. This is some beautiful, well-researched acting right here.
(I am not, of course talking about the aspirin thing. Matt should be on a no-aspirin diet in general imho. His platelets work hard enough as is.)
