I’m the strongest Avenger, okay?! So this responsibility falls upon me. Tony and Bruce talking Thor down from his suicidal attempt to use the gauntlet, they care about Thor’s life when he doesn’t himself.

In short period of time they were stranded together on an alien spaceship Tony managed to get Nebula to open up without fear of being punished for it, he put a band-aid on years and years of horrors Thanos made her endure. She was always compassionate and had a great potential for good, but with Thanos she was too afraid to show it and was bullied into feeling the constant desire to live up to his expectations.

Tony made her feel she was good enough, he did not treat her like a weapon, he was not afraid of her and she knew she had his complete and utter trust.

Nebula helped him greatly on the spaceship and was a terrific companion, she later became a very valuable member of Avengers who continued to treat her as their equal and not a threat.

Tony created a path on which Nebula finally found herself, her happiness and serenity.

@ everyone who said Tony didn't flinch in pain because the suit obsorbed all the power of the gauntlet, have you ever worked with metal???

Let me spell something out for you, metal melts at 2 or 3 thousand degrees (F). Tony's suit was quite melted. Let me say something else, metal SUCKS at keeping heat to itself. It wants share and spread that heat ALL around, and it likes to hold onto it. I have spent sometime welding. You make one weld and the heat will spread through the better portion of what you are welding, and the heat doesn't just go away instantly. You have to wait a good 10 or 15 minutes for the metal cool before you can touch it. The gauntlet did way more melt damage than a welding torch ever could.

What I am saying is that Tony was essentially sitting in an oven after he snapped. And the heat wouldn't have just been condensed to one side of his body. It would have spread to the rest of the suit.

So, not only did Tony wield the gauntlet with out screaming in pain, he also managed to with stand literally being burt alive without a cry of pain.
