THE HAND HOLDING. fuck. it gets me every time. currently crying about it again. @robntunney and i agree that this is the episode they realise they truly need each other, even if they're still too scared to admit it. lisbon's utter heartbreak (and yes i'm always mad at him for that), but also how obvious jane is in his reliance on her, which is usually more subtle. the "good luck, teresa. love you." obviously, but -- all of it, the way he talks to her, his behaviour. the fucking hand holding. the tenderness. her defending him no matter what. "i'll come by your place tonight, we'll talk it out" - "you're sweet". also, we talk about how he takes her arm & hand a lot, because.... obviously. but when they just sit there. holding hands. like. please. THEY!!
