Andy, thousands of years old and oh so lonely, starts dreaming about this random little girl out of nowhere, and night after night she watches her grow up until one day that girl, now a strong and beautiful woman, dies and Andy wakes up terrified and sad because she’s gone until she falls asleep again and finds out she’s not. Andy and Quynh deciding to stop fighting for a while while Lykon grows up because no child should have to see that. Andy and Quynh debating whether or not to find Lykon before he dies and revives- if he dies and revives. Nicky and Joe who have dreamt of each other since childhood… experiencing twice as many scraped knees and runny noses… getting what their own childhood lacks from the other’s… Booker who grows up thinking he’s truly lost it because you don’t get it there are these people, some living but another drowning and it doesn’t add up at all, 42 years seeing them again and again and he’s still not sure if they’re real or not until they find him half buried in the snow… Andy who is reaching the end of a truly awful century and thinks she might be heading into an even worse one when she dreams of the tiniest baby…
this is too much and so good. Joe and Nicky having an imaginary friend throughout childhood but when they get to their teen years start to suspect something else is going on. Imagine the infatuation! Maybe even Nicky joining the crusades under false pretenses to see if he can travel to find Joe.
Their forced rest from war that lasts for a few decades every time they start dreaming of chubby hands and being wrapped up tight. Andy re-living the feeling of getting a mother’s love!! But then it changes her memories of her own mother again, and again, because she keeps losing her past.
The dreams still coming in flashes, so you don’t get motivation or backstory, just glimpses and feelings. When Nile fills her schoolbook margins with weapons and water, her mother just thinks to take away the action movies for a while. She still has no idea that the team is ancient when she meets them.
Nile being distrustful of Booker from the start, because he’s felt his discontent and anger for years. Nile at her first party with alcohol in the air being drawn to the whiskey and doesn’t know why. The team trying to teach through the glimpses, showing the devastation of poverty and the impact of kindness to a teenager from across the world. Joe working on his art as Booker finds himself as a youth, and is so proud when he dreams of Booker picking up his own paintbrushes, only to laugh when he ends up replicating offical documents perfectly.
Andy taking the Copley job in South Sudan because Nile’s near-combat duty now. She needs to see what she’s getting into, but then the violence comes to Nile too soon.

While the Onion buying InfoWars is indeed extremely funny, very few of the posts I've seen commenting on the sale have mentioned that the families of the Sandy Hook victims apparently agreed to voluntarily reduce their lawsuit payout as part of a deal to ensure that the Onion would acquire InfoWars wholesale, rather than having the company broken up and auctioned off piecemeal, as the latter course could potentially have allowed some of those pieces to end up back in the hands of Alex Jones' cronies.
Like, yes, it is in fact very funny that InfoWars is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Clickhole, but the real props go out to the Sandy Hook families who saw the opportunity and willingly gave up the additional millions of dollars that could have been realised by stripping InfoWars for parts in order to make that happen.

Now they're in an entirely different galaxy, and Joe has sworn the Mandalorian Creed and kept his face covered for lifetimes. But when he picks up a strange green Child and swears to return him to his kind, who does he find but Nicky of kriffing Genova, training Jedi children in the Force. Meanwhile, Nicky is falling hard for the mysterious stoic warrior with a kid in tow. Who wouldn't? Does it count as a slow burn if you come in at the end of four thousands of years of enemies to frenemies?
So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.
Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
