“Don’t Be Scared”

This is the aesthetic of the (very) short story I wrote yesterday. The story is dark and may be triggering for some people, so I don’t know if I can post it. But it’s an intense, raw piece. I just wanted to share the aesthetic and see what people thought. Maybe I can post it with trigger warnings, I’m not sure.

An embarrassing story from my life:

I will never forget this time I was at the airport, and I handed my ID to the guy checking identifications… Mind you, my ID picture is of me from when I was 14 years old and super emo and edgy, okay? I had a bad haircut and everything. I looked like a pathetic twink.

And this man checking my ID looks 20-year-old me dead in the eyes with a little smirk, and says: "Yep, you haven’t changed a bit!”

I almost cried.

I think he did it on purpose but I don’t even know. I hope so
