I just bought 7 books for less than $20 😎
"My deepest joy is to write."
-Albert Camus, in Carnets 1935-1942
Is anyone else a “mood reader?” Like you are currently in the middle of 5-10 books and you just read which one you’re in the mood for or do I need medical help?

Seeing fellow readers in public, just peacefully reading, makes me immediately adore them.
What’s the oldest published book you’ve ever bought? I bought a book from a used book store by Tolstoy that is (I realised today) 108 years old. Kinda cool to think of all the people who’ve read that exact copy since 1916 all the way to 2024…
Absolutely. I loveeee old books. Finding them feels like discovering some ancient tie between humanity—the eternal love of literature. It’s a fantastic feeling.
I found this collection of Robert Burns’ poetry in a library’s used bookstore once and bought it for about $7, I think. There isn’t a publication date inside, but there was a NOTE. The note is dated: 1884! So, who knows when it was published! But it’s at least 140+ years old. :)
I really love this little book. The illustrations and the cover are beautiful. I would be thrilled to see your Tolstoy book, too :)
What a great question, thank you for asking, dear. :)

The only self help books I need are the ones that destroy me and make me question my humanity.
