Video game married couples who are totally fine and not at all doomed to torment and anguish due to a combination of sinister external forces and the husband’s internal psychological unraveling, all of whom give me major Harvey/Gilda vibes and inspiration.

Playing Cyberpunk 2077, I’ve encountered Jefferson Peralez, an idealistic, handsome former DA who is running for Mayor. He seems to genuinely love his city almost as much as he loves his wife, but he’s struggling with the stress of his job and his enemies, which is leading to his deteriorating mental health.

At this point, I’m almost hoping he’s corrupt and playing a long game of betrayal because otherwise ruh roh.
