Today’s set of Captain N cels mostly focuses on Simon Belmont. It’s a post so good, you’ll want to stare at it in the mirror for a really long time.

After seven Simons, also throwing in Bayou Billy and his pet gator Loafer, plus a slimy little elf.

For the purposes of this post, the elf is now nicknamed Slimon Belmont…

Slimy the Dwarf!

Damn it, what was the production team thinking?  They introduced seven monstrous dwarves with seven superpowers, then didn’t have them use those powers in battle ’cause the scene suddenly turned into a Western pastiche for no reason.  What was the point of that?

Sorry, I just can’t get over some of those mind-boggling Captain N moments.

This swamp creature was one of Dr. Wily's rare forays into organic engineering on Captain N: The Game Master.  It stole the show in "How's Bayou," an episode featuring the Konami game The Adventures of Bayou Billy.

It looks wrong and unnatural in all the right ways.  It appears to consist of fish, reptile, and insect parts joined together.  The Frankenstein-style stitches on the head further hint at its piecemeal nature.

The image above is from designer Fil Barlow's Deviantart gallery, below are screen captures from the Captain N box set (which was accidentally authored using a work print rather than the finished episode).
