Getting a weird little hobby is actually so important bc it opens your eyes up to the world. You start crocheting or knitting, and how you see scarves and sweaters differently. You try identifying plants, now you’re seeing opposite and alternate leaf pattern. Bird watching? Every chirp draws attention and interest.

Get into weird little hobbies.

I don’t read as much as I used to. I don’t draw as much as I used to.

I don’t even play video games as much as I used to.

I have no idea what I do.

Person 1: *goes out of their way to insult/make fun of harmless interest/hobby/piece of media/etc.*

Person 2: “I disagree with you/I like that thing and you’re being pointlessly mean”

Person 1: “you are so Whiny and Immature and the like, UNLIKE ME who couldn’t even handle other people liking something so much that I just had to go out of my way to say it’s stupid/lame/make other people feel bad for liking it”

honestly the most pure thing on the internet are those people who are like, completely and totally dedicated to a hobby, and they’re just so happy about it and willing to share everything they know about it with the world

one guy likes ants, all his videos are wonderfully informative ant videos. another guy is determined to beat super mario 64 in as few A presses as possible. that’s amazing. please continue on with godspeed you pure and holy folks of extremely specific interests
