Here's another thing that reminds me of a stupid childhood story, and this one's really stupid. I had this nifty little Donkey Kong Game & Watch gizmo that flipped open like a Turtlecom. I also had a set of shiny gold alphabet stickers. I thought it would be neat to put stickers on the case spelling out "SEGA." Some time later I learned that this was actually a Nintendo product, and the Nintendo logo was right there on the inside of the unit the whole time. The stickers wouldn't come off. I don't know why I thought Donkey Kong was a Sega character to begin with.
