Sorting LoK characters in hogwarts houses
Korra: Gryffindor. She’s extremely brave and loyal to her friends and family, and sometimes makes stupid decisions while helping or protecting them. Eventually her bravery leads to her giving herself up to save the airbenders from another extinction. She isn’t afraid of a fight (especially in book one and two) and even likes to solve problems by fighting. (Not as much in book 4, because she learned from her mistakes.)
Mako: I’m seriously debating in which house he belongs. He’s loyal two his friends and brother, and later his family. But, as we see in book 2, he’d have no problem betraying his girlfriend in the name of the law. Very just like a Ravenclaw. He’s also always the one to help Bolin get out of sticky situations he got in by accident. Mako often even tells Bolin how stupid some of his ideas are, thus being the logical one of the family. But Mako would also rather stay in the city and do police work than go and look for his grandmother because he’d be awkward spending time with both Korra and Asami. I feel like Mako’s more like a Ravenclaw than any other house. He doesn’t feel comfortable getting in situations that would land him in trouble, not even for friends, and is very strict about his ideals and beliefs.
Bolin: HUFFLEPUFF. And there’s not even a debate about it. He’s the cutest little hulk boy to ever exist! He’d even risk getting killed to win his girlfriend back, and to save someone he cares about. All of the things he did were either because he wanted to help his friends or to help other people in need, or to be able to keep doing something he enjoys doing. The reason he joined shady shin again in book one and almost got his bending stolen by Amon? Because he wants to continue pro-bending, something he, his brother and Korra enjoy doing. The reason he joined Kuvira? To help people in a broken down kingdom after the Zaheer problems. Bolin is a hufflepuff, a big buff hufflepuff.
Asami: Ravenclaw. She turned on her dad because he was doing something she didn’t agree with, even after defending him when she didn’t know yet. She had her vision of what was good and bad, and her dad was doing something bad, so she went against him to make things right. She helped the Avatar and her friends fight Amon, even when she just went through a very unclear breakup (thanks Mako.) After all of that she took over her father’s company and proceeded to make her way to the top of the industry. She’s an inventor and an incredible engineer, and also an architect (she helped redesign the roads in Republic City.)
Tenzin: definitely not a hufflepuff like his father was. He was very strict when it came to his culture and his job as a councilman in the city. He gets easily frustrated when people don’t listen, or when people don’t like his training methods (both seen in book one with Korra, book 2 with his siblings, and book 3 with the airbenders.) He also doesn’t like situations he can’t control (like Korra doing pro-bending or Jinora growing up and deserving her arrows) and doesn’t like doing things outside of the law. (I feel like he pretends not to like it but he secretly gets a kick out of it.) I would personally also put him in Ravenclaw. But I’m not sure. Any experts here to prove me wrong? Go ahead!
Lin Bei Fong: She’s also very strict with rules, but only the rules she makes. If she needs to break the law to get what she wants? So fucking be it. She’s very loyal to the people she cares about. Gotta throw my ass at Amon so the only airbenders in the world can escape? You bet your ass I will! But even if she’s very loyal she’s also very unforgiving. It took her years to soften up to Tenzin after he broke up with her. She even wrecked poor air temple island when it happened. Her own sister scarred her both physically and emotionally, and that also took her years to speak to her again. After her mother disappeared she didn’t even bother to look for her because she was still angry at her. I would put Lin in Slytherin but she could also fit in Gryffindor. Slytherdor it is!
Jinora: I’m going to make this one short. She was a gifted child from the beginning. The only thing that interested her was to get better at airbending and following the philosophy by the book. Speaking of books, she loved reading so much she had read about all of the adventures of the Gaang and even asked her grandmother for more. She communicated with the spirits better than her own father could! She got her arrows at the age of eleven! Which means she was an airbending MASTER at the age of eleven! Ravenclaw!
Ikki: this one is even shorter. Hufflepuff. She likes making animal friends more than she likes her own family, but don’t think she wouldn’t whoop your ass if you even tried to touch one of her disgusting siblings. She’s very kind and caring, and a very enthusiastic child, but she absolutely hates being ignored or turned away.
Meelo: Difficult one. When he does something, he does it good, when his father told him to train pokey the lemur he was reluctant because he’s his friend, but afterwards he had trained an entire army of lemurs. He doesn’t like being left out but is loyal to his friends. He takes A LOT of pride in what he does (especially book 4) and tends to make things difficult for himself so he could establish his manliness (like throwing away food so they could live off the wilds like true adventurers). Also his fartbending is gross but still the cutest thing ever! I’m feeling Gryffindor or Slytherin, but more on the Gryffindor side because he doesn’t always think everything through. Not a very strategic fella. Gryffindor it is!
I feel like doing Bumi and Kya, but maybe in another post, because this one’s getting a tad long. If there’s other characters you’d want me to sort (like the minor characters from Atla or LoK) just let me now but this is it for now because my fingers are getting tired! Anything you don’t agree with or you’d like to add on feel free to do so!
Can you please add Varrik to this list?
HOW COULD I POSSIBLY FORGET MY BABY VARRICK????? Added to the list for the next post I promise!!
