if I had to rank them from traditional short story to experimental/more prose poetry, I would rank them "Wild Rabbits" -> "Death of the Author" -> "Fish II". Wild Rabbits didn't turn out that well and I don't really like it but for posterity's sake I have it on my site anyway

I don't do much on tumblr anymore, this is embarrassing to say but I've largely migrated to tiktok.. the visibility is just so much higher, like it's way easier to get a larger number of people to see the things I post on there. but I creep around secretly on tumblr..

it's that time of the month for me--by which I mean, once a month I say "I'm actually going to finish god and other people" but I never do it.

however, I mean it this time. today was my last day of class until feb 12 and I'm unemployed and alone in europe with no friends so I have jack shit to do lmao, so my goal is to actually finish god and other people before my classes start on feb 12 :-))))

I said this on tiktok I don't think I said it here; something interesting about the work is that I actually wrote a great deal for it last year, directly before I had this like, year-long mental health crisis. I didn't consider how this would be revealed in the work itself, but looking at the writing I did for it last winter vs closer to now, the difference/progression is STRIKING (i intend to arrange the pieces chronologically to showcase this)

I thought that was interesting in regard to the ongoing conversations about mental health and art and the space they share; so while the work isn't "about" mental health, like, it is about mental health (and, importantly, recovery). idk I think that is sort of interesting

if you're referring to god and other people i met in high school you're right i should do that. to my memory I only have two excerpts of it up, both of which are now tagged "god and other people" :-)
