You know, we did a scene where she comes to the DEA office and he sees [Marie], and it’s great because you never see him call her and I don’t think he ever did. She just knew that that day was going to be a bad day, and it almost makes me tear up just thinking about it, that she’s such a sweet wife that she knew on that day that she needed to be there…. And going back to that, I said, “Let’s not even practice.” Usually I’m not so methody-weird like that, but for that scene I knew that all I had to do on that day, all I needed, was for the first time just to see her and look in her eyes, and then I’d start crying. That scene took just one take. — Dean Norris [x]

During [Reservoir Dogs], a paramedic was kept on the set to make sure that Mr. Orange’s (Tim Roth) amount of blood loss was kept consistent and realistic to that of a real gunshot victim.
At several points, Tim Roth had lain in the pool of fake blood for so long that the blood dried out and he had to be peeled off the floor, which took several minutes.
BEST SONG IN THE WORLD.
In February of 1979, late in the production of The Shining, as the crew filmed on the Lobby set, a small fire broke out on an adjacent sound stage. The fire quickly grew into an eleven-alarm inferno, and by morning, the sound stages containing some of The Shining’s most massive sets: The Colorado Lounge, the Lobby, and the hotel’s iconic hallways, were all but destroyed.
The next morning Stanley Kubrick surveyed the damage, and photographer Murray Close captured this image of Kubrick laughing in the face of disaster – surrounded by twisted girders and the smoldering wreckage of his sets.

Interviewer: So is Courtney the best fuck in the world?
Kurt stands up without saying a word, turns around and hikes his black pinafore dress up around his chest so the interviewer can see dozens of red scratches on his back, from Courtney’s fingernails.
