The Death of Rats :)
before i start hogfather again heres my old mort & ysabell art from 2021
My full piece for Ladies of Literature Vol 2! Featuring Susan Sto Helit from Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. If you haven’t read Discworld before, I can’t recommend it enough. His characters and stories will leave an impression on you all while making you laugh and think at the same time.

Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time
“She remembered the knowledge. She remembered her mind feeling as cold as ice and limitless as the night sky. She remembered being summoned into reluctant existence at the moment the first creature lived, in the certain knowledge that she would outlive life until the last being in the universe passed to its reward, when it would then be her job, figuratively speaking, to put the chairs on the tables and turn the lights off. She remembered the loneliness.”

Tiffany Aching and You, the white kitten she gives Granny Weatherwax in Wintersmith. I loved this series so much 🖤 GNU Terry Pratchett
Tiffany Aching might be my favourite child protagonist ever, and the whole Wee Free Men series is fantastic. She reminds me of Susan Sto Helit (intelligent, practical, proactive) except younger and angrier.
I hate that there will never be another Terry Pratchett book. This is for you, sir. You deserved the knighthood.
(@takofukkatsumi this tag is from a while ago but it hasn't left my brain -- L-Space got very weird all of a sudden)

Discworld Heritage Post
“All witches are selfish, the Queen had said. But Tiffany’s Third Thoughts said: Then turn selfishness into a weapon! Make all things yours! Make other lives and dreams and hopes yours! Protect them! Save them! Bring them into the sheepfold! Walk the gale for them! Keep away the wolf! My dreams! My brother! My family! My land! My world! How dare you try to take these things, because they are mine!”
