Soon I will reveal game room 2.0
Finally got everything back into this room after painting. That accent wall took sooo long. Not much is different, besides being rearranged. The arcade cab has new neon green buttons, and I removed some of the Atari systems that I don't really play with.
Just thought this was interesting because I don't believe I've ever seen an instructional manual that really talked about the story of Galaga? According to the 7800 manual, the Galagans are "reclaiming planets they lost during centuries-old interstellar war - and now they want yours!". So, you are an untrained soldier in a "Intergalactic Command Ship". This is the first time I have heard the ship you control referred to as something more specific. Disappointingly, the ship isn't named anything special. I realize that this is probably the work of someone writing the manual and trying to make it a little more interesting, but I thought it was funny. I also have the manuals for Asteroids and Xevious and they have similar short blurbs trying to inject a little bit of story.
A nice person gave these to me :'D

1982 JC Penny ad for the Atari 2600
This is the equivalent of about $400 in today's dollars. And the games would be about $60. So, I guess not much has changed in the price department for video games :0
At this store, it's buy 2 get 1 free for used games under $10. So obviously I take advantage of that :) The atari games were unmarked, so I got them either for free or for .99 cents. I found that Tunnel Runner and Exocet are pretty rare, so I completely lucked out.
He matches the Atari 2600 :>
Flea Market :) Intellivision and some 2600 games!
My Atari 2600s :D 1978 CX2600 1980 CX2600A 1986 Atari 2600 Jr. (Original model) All of them are older than I am and still work.
I got some new (old) games today :>
A very small chunk of my Atari 2600 collection. These are the ones that I display because of the cartridge art. Pitfall and Donkey Kong have boring art, but I display them too because they are pretty worn out and I like how they look ;)
Looks like a kitty tried to reorganize these games for me. Thanks, cat.
If you don't know, this game was so bad it caused the video game industry crash in 1983 (well, it was one of the factors at least). It is frequently called one of the worst games of all time. Millions of copies were buried in a New Mexico landfill, because that was really the only suitable thing to do with them.
