aw thats cute thank u! i’m very thankful for the messages you’ve sent. as for my twitter u have two choices: theres my personal which i use for irls and non-fandom stuff but “use” is a stretch since even though im always logged in i havent tweeted on it or really checked it for a few months. that ones ellie___xxx (3 underscores). then theres my fandom one which i’m on all the time. its not kpop, it was for mainly shadowhunters and now its a mix of various book series (mainly the raven cycle), current reads, a bit of shadowhunters, and whatever other shows i’m watching. i rarely tweet about kpop because im not part of kpop twt (i have a jeonghwa layout but still) and getting out of touch with new releases/just dont tweet about what i listen to but there’s some shinee/other kpop tweets from time to time and with taem’s new release there’ll be more than usual i expect. that one is angciwings. so its up to u lmao u can always mute me anyway if u follow and i clog ur tl with shit u dont care about. but yeah kfhjdk maybe see u over there and if not thank u for following me until now!!

first of all u dont need to be sorry!! wanting to talk about this is totally fine and tbh im honoured u chose me to message about it.

jjong himself said it doesnt matter how long youve been a fan, whether its been 10 years or 10 days, all that matters is you found shinee and u love them now (paraphrased cos i dont know the exact quote soz jjong). i know it probably won’t be much help but there are many new fans who feel the same way as u so you’re not alone.

i understand that for new fans it’s a little different to how older fans feel because you’re getting to know him while knowing he’s not here, i recognise that must be quite strange and difficult. and i wont try to say things like “jjong would want you to watch him with happiness” because u should let yourself feel sad if u need to. eventually you’ll be able to watch him and look at photos of him and remember him more positively. but it happens for everyone at different paces. for example i can watch him and listen to him now and feel happiness. at a club night this month shinin’ played, and my heart sang, i was overjoyed and i just felt so happy hearing it and i jumped like that moment was the reason i was born. i dont even know why it made me so happy but it did. but around me other shawols were crying. it really differs for each person and although the sadness will never really leave it will get easier. 

find him in your everyday life. see him in the moon, in little roos you see as you walk down the street, in that shade of pink from she is era that he loved so much. notice the pearl aqua tint the stars seem to have some nights. talk to him in instagram dms if u want, i do sometimes and although it does remind me he’s gone, it feels nice sending messages to an inbox that no one else apart from him ever had access to. it feels very personal so its good on the harder days or for any time u wanna say something only to him. 

i hope this helped you a little bit. i know nothing i say can really make it better but these are some things i try to think about and ways ive used to feel happier about him. i hope u feel better soon
