So here is ‘Fowl steps’, Fowatile’s first album following an EP with the same title in 2011 Fowl Steps ? Through the 12 tracks and 2 versions, Fowatile’s trademark can be sensed: You can feel a musical universe both personal (intimate) and open, a definitely eclectic adventurous lavish minimalism. You savor electro hip-hop productions freshly resting upon an inventive energetic playing epitomizing the musical openness of our time (miles away from the bling bling, lyrics to wallow in self-pity, wars of chapels or formats). We fly over to distant lands (Fowatile Airlines) while sipping a few energy drink shots along the way (Diamond Rims, Galaxy Sicks Over) as in some club lounge (Act like a fool, Coca Holla). Besides, the presence of shape-shifting rapper-singer Elby Dillinger on Fowatile’s productions, some famous international collab-creations are to be discovered in Fowl steps with the mind-blowing English band Foreign Beggars (currently N°1 hip-hop/dubstep band in Britain, winner of the Best International Hip-Hop Live Act 2011) as well as one of the most legendary Hip-hop figure from New York, Talib Kweli former partner of Mos Def in Black Star first band they co-founded and who has worked/collaborated on his albums with producers such as Hi Tek, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Madlib et Kanye West.
