http://www.facebook.com/fowatile Fowatile is an imaginative music and record production team that has managed to channel its creations into an innovative life performance. Hitting the road alongside the greatest, Fowatile has built for itself an outstanding reputation on stage and at the helm of a unique concept of digital performance. Setting up its own independent record label, Biscuits Records, Fowatile chose to free itself from burdensome artistic constraints and the formulaic requirements of an outdated and redundant music industry. This enables the band to walk its unique artistic path and bond freely with other artists of diverse sensibilities. So here is ‘Fowl steps’, Fowatile’s first album following an EP with the same title in 2011 Fowl Steps ? Yes, kind of like the somewhat wicked totter of a yardbird or some sort of cosmic poultry waddling on otherworldly grooves. Through the 12 tracks and 2 versions, Fowatile’s trademark can be sensed: You can feel a musical universe both personal (intimate) and open, a definitely eclectic adventurous lavish minimalism. You savor electro hip-hop productions freshly resting upon an inventive energetic playing epitomizing the musical openness of our time (miles away from the bling bling, lyrics to wallow in self-pity, wars of chapels or formats). We fly over to distant lands (Fowatile Airlines) while sipping a few energy drink shots along the way (Diamond Rims, Galaxy Sicks Over) as in some club lounge (Act like a fool, Coca Holla). Besides, the presence of shape-shifting rapper-singer Elby Dillinger on Fowatile’s productions, some famous international collab-creations are to be discovered in Fowl steps with the mind-blowing English band Foreign Beggars (currently N°1 hip-hop/dubstep band in Britain, winner of the Best International Hip-Hop Live Act 2011) as well as one of the most legendary Hip-hop figure from New York, Talib Kweli former partner of Mos Def in Black Star first band they co-founded and who has worked/collaborated on his albums with producers such as Hi Tek, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Madlib et Kanye West.
