Man, but “Ruin” by The Amazing Devil is the perfect autumn album. The air crisped up and I have been listening to it nonstop. I have been listening to “The King is Dead” by The Decemberists in high summer for years, so it’s nice to have an autumn album now.

Anyone else have seasonal albums that must be listened to come the weather changing? It feels like a musical tie to the earth.

I saw The Decemberists perform this live a couple weeks ago and for a moment I understood what she felt. An AMAZING concert.

Hid a few references to their discography in here as well :-) I apologize for the person I will become June 14th when the full album comes out (lying)

I’m not properly subscribed to Colin Meloy’s machine shop anymore but I do get previews of posts and I am 👀👀👀👀

Very excited to hear the songs he wrote for Wildwood, and very interested to learn that “The Reapers” was initially a Wildwood song. It’s probably my favorite song on the album (besides “Joan”), so this is so cool
