hey can we talk about how princess katherine of glimmer grove was canonically eighteen years old. how the great witch shelby was young enough to be a student in school. because that is a really fucked up part of their character arcs that does not get mentioned enough

question for empires enjoyers: i had written out an entire dialogue between great witch shelby and headmaster nowls because i had planned for them to have a confrontation. obviously that’s not how things went in the end. but would you be interested in seeing what the dialogue was?

so i planned for shelby to be summoned by the council at the witches academy to answer for her crimes. the ending for her was originally going to be that she lives in the evermore as a wanted witch, but no one would ever dare go after her. and so she continued using her magic to help people, but she could never go back to the witching world or see her grandmother again. this was the confrontation she was going to have with the headmaster, and then she was going to warp out by opening a small rift. it’s a little corny but whatever lol

Specific parts of the Shelby + Sausage talking about Katherine clips from today that drive me insane /pos

  • “Yeah, her muscles inspire me” in the most wistful, almost sighing tone
  • When Suasage says Katherine’s cut Shelby inhales sharply???? Ma’am???
  • “I saw her big axe and thats what made me want to have my own big scythe!” First off, Shelby with a scythe >>>, secondly, thats so fucking adorable
  • “Maybe one day she’ll let me watch her workout” ALSO IN THE SAME WISTFUL TONE
  • Sausage bringing up that Shelby should ask Katherine if she can watch her workout, but he also brought up it being sunny and Katherine having sweaty, glistening muscles. Ty for the Nature Wives allyship Suasage, also No One is immune to Katherine this season
  • “I’ll just sit there with a water bottle to offer her” “Yeah or a towel!” “Maybe she doesnt want to drink the water maybe she’ll let me pour it on her *stumbles a bit* to cool her off” Every second of this conversation is Gold
  • “Joey wants to get in the middle of that?” The middle of what Shelby?!?!? Explain! 
  • After Sausage says Joey’s in love with Katherine Shelby’s eyes go wide and she gasps and switches the pov ingame so she’s looking at the camera. Very much an “Oh shit” moment for her
  • “He says they’re gonna get married. You better put a stop to that!” Once again, Sausage is a Nature Wives Shipper too
  • *Stuttering* “What does she think of that?” Jelly Shelby
  • When Sausage explains that Katherine doesnt return Joey’s advances Shelby sighs in relief and does a lil flick like she’s flicking off nervous sweat.
  • And when Sausage says that maybe Katherine would start to return Joey’s advances cause no one else is interested Shelby frowns again
  • “You better act fast” ONCE AGAIN THANKING SAUSAGE FOR THE ALLYSHIP
  • “I have to make a plan, I’m stronger than Joey, maybe i have to duel him for her heart?” THIS IS WHERE I LOST MY MIND AGAIN. FOR HER HEART. FOR HER HEART
  • “HE HAS A GUN??? Well, i have a wand!” HELL YEAH GET HIM GIRL!
  • And then Sausage pretends to be Joey so that Shelby can show off how her broom can block with magic. Its not super Nature Wives exactly but Sausage’s Joey Impression is funny
