then one day they mention it around carver and carver’s like “yeah he named all the cows” “you bet I did” “I bet the darkspawn ate them, they probably saved Bo for last” and hawke gets honestly upset “YOU TAKE THAT BACK I SWEAR TO THE MAKER I WILL FIGHT YOU RIGHT FUCKING HERE CARVER SO HELP ME” and there’s this sudden mass-realization of “oh maker he wasn’t joking” 

and hawke spends the rest of the time sharing “facts” about farming and only half of them are true and half of them are 100% bullshit and no one can figure out which is which

Anders with his hand on the knob of the door to the Hawke Estate. Anders paralyzed and unsure whether it’s out of fear that the door will be open or the door will be locked. Anders turning the knob. Anders’s face when it turns without resistance and he hears the ‘click’ of the door opening. Anders letting out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding.

Anders is a creep.

He forces himself towards Hawke, even if you make no attempts to look his way, he makes damn sure you better look. And pretty much corners you.

Then how bloody insane he is, tossing love around tho they only known eachother for a little while. Yes, I know, game-wise it takes place over years- but as you’re playing this it feels sudden.

At least with Izzy and Fen they take until the third act to finally show something and by that time the player is pretty attached to the characters.

Seriously, if there was an irl Anders, RUN, that man is insane. 

I still don’t understand why people think it’s creepy for Anders to show he’s interested in you soon. People do that all the time. It’s not like he cops a feel or anything, it’s just simple flirting you can instantly turn down. D: He even notices he may be being too forward so sudden and apologizes.

Yes, regardless of how much (or how little) Hawke flirts with him, he does admit romantic/sexual/what-have-you interest fairly early on.  Anders is attracted to Hawke for any number of reasons and he makes it known, just like people do IRL.  When he realizes how forward he's being, he checks himself and backs off, just like people IRL do.   He may hold a torch for Hawke no matter who Hawke does or doesn't romance, and he may act jealously/protectively of Hawke when he's not the LI, but he never forces himself on an unwilling Hawke.  Ever.  Hawke needs to flirt with him during his Act II "Questioning Beliefs" to get that kiss--you don't need to flirt with him at any other time, but selecting one of those two heart-icons triggers his romance. He tells Hawke that he loves them after they have sex, because he does.  It might be early on in their relationship, but think about the lives Hawke and Anders lead--Anders even says that they could die tomorrow (which is true, because it's not like he knows otherwise the way the player does), so stating those feelings is prudent.  It fits Anders's all-or-nothing personality, too, and the time-frame of that conversation.  It happens immediately after the romance scene, but based on the dialogue you can infer that it actually occurs some time later (probably not very long after, but there is a time lapse the player doesn't really see).   Never mind the fact that Anders is a grown man who has never felt anything more than attraction towards another person because society won't allow him to, and because he won't allow himself to.  He's thirty-whatever years old and he's experiencing the same sort of head-over-heels feelings that teenagers feel for their first loves.  Hawke is Anders's first love, regardless of whether or not Hawke reciprocates those feelings.  Regardless of how much he dedicated himself to his cause and to the mages, he's just as dedicated to Hawke (LI or otherwise). Hawke is one of the only people that's ever given a damn about Anders, and that's why Anders latches onto Hawke.  Even in a rivalry, it's because there's dedication and concern and mutual respect, even if they fundamentally disagree and Hawke thinks Anders is a raving lunatic and Anders thinks Hawke is a fascist pig.   There's a relationship there, for good or for ill.   Honestly, every Bioware LI would be a shitty partner IRL, but I'd be hard pressed to be put-off by my partner being as devoted and respectful of my wishes as Anders is to Hawke--he goes along with whatever Hawke says, regardless of how much he protests or disagrees.   If Hawke tells him to go, he goes, angrily or resigned or anything in between, but always because he's deferring to what Hawke wants, and never does otherwise in any other circumstance.  He pays more attention to what Hawke wants him to do than he does to Justice, and Justice is inside his head.  He gets attached to Hawke because Hawke makes him feel human again, and he flat-out admits that he feels like he's not entirely human after he joins with Justice on more than one occasion, including in his short story--that's why he latches onto Hawke the way he does, it's why he defies Justice and his own common sense when it comes to Hawke, and it's massively important to keep that in mind when you're dealing with him.  If you aren't, you're seriously missing the point.
