The Fest Is Open!
The 25 Days of Voyager and Prodigy is back!
Celebrate the Holidays this year with Voyager and Prodigy by signing up for the annual 25 Days fest! Sign ups for this year are now open! How it works: Each day of December from the 1st to the 25th will be available for folks to sign up to post a fanwork for the fest. Reach out to fest runners @elephant-in-the-pride-parade and @gijane-7702 to sign up for an open day. There is no cap on how many folks can sign up. We will first be putting one person per day and then, once all 25 days are taken, will begin doubling up.
What fanworks can I make for the fest? Basically on the day you sign up for, you post an original fic, video, manip, gif set, fanart … ANYTHING! The only stipulations:
- It must be related to Voyager or Prodigy
- It can be for any ship (or none!)
- It must be winter OR holiday related (whichever winter or holiday you want!)
- It must be newly created.
How will my work be shared? On your posting day, make a tumblr post about your work (make sure to @25daysofvoyager so we can easily find it!) or drop a link to your work in our messages and then we will share it here. We will also have an AO3 collection for those of you who post there!
Feel free to share this with any Voyager and Prodigy friends outside of Tumblr too! Everyone is welcome!

I love him so much. He is my most favoritist sunshine child ever. He is 17 at the start and 19 post skip and is one of the most infamous pirate captains out there. He is not a hero. But he will fight to protect what is His. This includes objects as well as people. And honestly ideas too. None of his crew set out to be his crew but each would lay down their life for him, tho he 100% expects them to Fight for him (as he would and they would too). He is an idiot but he is going places! He doesn’t care about knowing anything extra, just the very basics of the goal and who is with/against him and who is a bystander. Boy is beautiful inside and out. Plus his greatest treasure (hat aside) is his freedom and that he is 100% willing to share with anyone he sees oppressed. Also, his ships are equally important and even thought Merry is no longer sailing, she deserves all the love. Just like how Sunny has yet to make her biggest contribution, but is still worthy of all the seas.
Janeway's the first female captain to be portrayed on a Star Trek series. Groundbreaking, badass. Extremely capable, gets her crew through challenges of isolation and various external threats and as yet uncharted regions of space. Loves coffee.
Okay, we're entering quarter finals so it's time to bring out the big guns.

On Christmas Day Star Trek Prodigy season 1 will be released on Netflix. This is a new 3D animated young adult animated series that was removed from Paramount+ as a tax write off, and was only saved through an amazing grass roots campaign by fans to be picked up by Netflix so that it’s second season could be aired.

This show has been neglected by Paramount+ and it’s gotten a rare second chance. The first month a show is released on Netflix is the most crucial time of all because the viewership will determine its fate going forward. A second season has already been finished (it was nearly completed when Paramount cancelled it), but if we want to see more beyond this season we need Netflix to see that we care about it and that their risk in picking up the show is warranted.
Please. Help us save this show. It’s SO GOOD, and it was treated like garbage by Paramount+. Help us stick it to Paramount and show everyone what a great show this actually is. Help us make Paramount regret their decision. Help kids animation continue to thrive and show it’s worth! Help bring in more people into the Star Trek fandom! Help us now! Please!

On their first christmas in the Delta Quadrant, still dealing with the absence of loved ones, Chakotay tries to make a memorable christmas for his captain which allows her to relax.

Who's idea was it to test these kids' survival skills?
I was really hoping to give it digital line work and color, but 1: no time, and 2: my scanner is apparently busted. ...So we get a photo of a drawing with some text.
Still, pretty happy with how it came out, for what it is.
