Blood of my Blood pt.3
Pairing- Sully family x Sully!reader
Summary- There is so much you would do for your family even at a young age but there is one thing you just couldn't do so you do the only thing you find reasonable you run.
A/N- I actually love this
Your eyes shoot open and you look around and take a deep breath. Today you are showing your siblings around hometree today. Guilt weighed heavily on your shoulders, when you saw their faces when they knew it was you it hurt you, but you knew it hurt them more. You rubbed the last bit of sleep out of your eyes and stood up. Grabbing a top beaded of hues of blue and a regular loincloth that had colors of black. Quickly you change your clothing and grab your bow and open the curtain that acted like a door to your room and there stood your four siblings.
Jumping a bit in surprise before standing up straight again. ''Hello, didn't know you knew where my room was.'' You say a little to them a little to yourself. ''We saw when you came here last night sorry.'' Neteyam said, rubbing his neck, and the waves of guilt washed over you again.
He looked different, hair was longer, and his voice was deeper. He was a mighty warrior just like he said he would be.
Kiri, she grew up, she was just a small confused little girl. Now she was a teenager she definitely didn't want to be here. You couldn't blame her either.
Lo'ak he definitely grew up last time you saw him he was a quiet little kid who always listened to your father you could see that definitely wasn't the case.
And Tuk sweet little Tuk. She was a small baby last time and barely fit in your father's arms how small she was. But now. Now she was an outspoken confident little girl.
And you missed it, missed all of it.
The guilt that ran through your veins was strong but you wouldn't you couldn't let it show.
''You all have ikrans right? Well except you Tuk your to small to ride one or are you the mighty warrior of the group.'' You say and she laughs covering her mouth and shaking her head side to side. ''Come I want to show you something.'' You say and jump as you feel a small slender hand grab hold to your hand. ''Tuk- I'm sorry.''
Neteyam tries to take her but she only clutches onto your leg and you laugh making their heads shoot to your place. ''It is fine let us go to the ikrans.'' You tell them as you and tuk walk hand in hand.
For a second, Neteyam swore he could see you and Tuk how you and you and your mother used to be. He smiles and then follows you as do the others.
Now in front of the ikrans that lived in a field only a short walk from hometree. ''Hey Ao'nuk would you do a girl a solid and give me those saddles.'' You say and he only takes a deep breath and hands each of you a saddle.
Walking in between the swarm of banshee carefully. Their ikrans all keep to themselves except for one which they surrounded like a reunion. Khal was bigger than a usual ikran, when his huge blue wings flapped in the wind they made a sound like lightning, his beak had gotten stronger over the years, many cower when he snapped at them, he was gigantic compared to him those years ago.
Khal came to your side and you patted his head. ''This is Khal he was the last piece of home I had.'' You say smiling at the animal who looked ready to attack everyone but you as you saddled him up. ''You got him from home but you left when you were 10.'' Lo'ak said and you smiled. ''Yes but I suppose me and Khal were meant to be he's been with me all these years.'' You reply before throwing a leg over him and sore into the sky.
"We missed a lot." Kiri said as she watched her sister tell them to follow her.
They all rode after you Tuk riding with Kiri.
The ride wasn't too long and wasn't too long. You stopped in front of a mountain and the vines grew down from it. "We are here." You smile and the others look around. "Where?" Kiri asked and you laughed as you pulled the vines to show a beautiful lake, gorgeous stones surrounded them shined in the glistening sun. Even the flat ground shone with the sun of a thousand suns. And the water was so blue you could see the very bottom, every organism that lives under there, every rock, everything. It was heaven on Pandora.
"It's…It's beautiful." Kiri said and you smiled at the amazement on their faces. Grabbing Neteyam's hand you smile and this reminds you of when you were young, before your parents made that agreement, before you left. It was honestly and truthfully amazing. You brought him on top of the little diving rock, dripping your bow, you tilted your head to the water and he knew immediately squeezing your hand he dropped his bow and you two ran and fell into the water.
In truth it was freezing and you two had wide eyed each other in the water, when your heads came up from the water your bottom lips shuttered from how cold the water was. "Hells yes." Lo'ak yelled from the diving rock before back flipping into the lake. The water slashed you and Neteyam in the face, when he escaped the freezing water he screamed. You laughed at his dramatic reaction.
"I don't wanna jump." Tuk said and Kiri looked conflicted she wanted to swim but didn't wanna leave Tuk alone. "You don't gotta jump TukTuk." You said and swam a little ways from the diving rock and it was a shallow patt that only came to the ankle and you can walk deeper in and swim.
Now they were with you, playing, talking, most of all having fun. It was as if no time passed, like you'd been with them for the past six years and not with another clan just a week away, like it was just another sibling hangout.
The guilt that had built from the day before slowly chipped away but it was still there and you were thankful that the great mother set this to your path.
A splash of water hit your face turning your focus to the culprit, unexpected Kiri. "And I thought you loved me c'mere." You say solashing her more, only this hit Neteyam too. He turned to you cocked his head to the aide and sent a huge ass wave that knocked you back in the water. "How was that even possible." You say wiping the water from your eyes. And then Lo'ak sent a splash to Neteyam. "I got you sis." He said nodding to you and you smiled hugely.
You ringed the water out Tuk's hair as she plays with a shiny rock. "I still feel like we should have a rematch." Lo'ak complained and Tuk giggled. "Just admit that Tuk your little sister beat you." Kiri teased and Lo'ak hissed. "She's your little sister too." Neteyam chipped in and Lo'ak pointed to his brother and tilted his head to Kiri.
"Mom said that she wanted us back like six minutes ago." Kiri said looking at the sun measuring what time it is. "Oh shoot I'm sorry come on." You say picking up Tuk.
Going back to the ikran who had been playing with each other until they saw their personal rider. As you go to hand Tuk to Kiri she held onto you. "Let me ride on Khal." Tuk asked her and you cracked a smile and nodded to Kiri. Straddling the saddle of Khal you held Tuk tight against your chest. You all flew through the air and back to the hometree.
You all flew down and ran to the grassway. Neytiri and Jake stand with Peyral and Kamun and they looked stressed. You run up and bow your head. "Oel ngati kameie." You rush out and look at Neytiri who looked at her other children just as worried. "Where have you been-" before Jake could begin his scolding or even before Neteyam could take the blame you cut in. "It wasn't their fault I didn't ask them what time you wanted them back and they got caught up with something I was showing them so if your gonna be mad at someone let it be me." You say and everyone looked taken back but, Newey who was behind Peyral was smiling and giving a small thumbs up.
"Oh well, we were worried, let's all come to eat." Jake said hesitantly as he watched you take the blame for your siblings you haven't seen in six years, but you just thought it was them four and you looked away.
Sitting down for dinner was a little awkward. But at least the food was good.
Roasted summertime vegetables, and strumbees meat. You made everyone's plate since it was your night to do that. "Thank you 'ite." Neytiri said, touching your hand slightly. The term 'ite, daughter. The air in your lungs left, and your body ran cold. A weak smile worked its way onto your lips and nodded, "It's no problem." You say before handing Kiri her plate.
You scooped the vegetables onto a separate plate first and Jake smiled. "You never really liked vegetables when you were little." He laughed before picking a vegetable off his plate and you looked up and smiled a bit before taking a bite of the meat.
Dinner was pleasant after the small interactions with your parents.
Now it was time to retire to your separate living. You said your goodnights and said your thanks to Eywa for letting you embrace and live in her beauty. But it seemed like Tuk didn't want to leave her big sister.
"Tuk you can't sleep in her bed let her go." Neytiri said and Tuk only held onto your arm harder. "It is fine she can stay the night, like a sleepover." You say before picking her up and she nusuled into your neck desperately ready for bed.
"Goodnight." You say to them and you held eye contact for a second before you closed your eyes and went to your room with Tuk. When you got into your room you sigh before leaving Tuk who was half asleep in the cot covered by your favorite blanket. You changed into a regular brown loincloth with a matching brown top. Crawling into the cot and slipping under the blanket Tuk rolled over head now on your arm unable to move it now.
You lied there for hours. It was the middle of the night and not even a blink of sleep. You've had sleeping troubles for years started to happen the second week you started living there and haven't gone away since. You opened your eyes when you felt the stirring around of Tuk.
"Sissy." She whined and you turned your head to her and tilted it down slightly upward. "Nightmare?" You asked and she nodded rubbing her eyes. You brush the hair in her face away and rub her cheek with your finger. "I used to have a lot of those." You whisper to her and her tired eyes look curious. "You did?" She whispered back. "Yup almost every night." You reply looking at the ceiling. "What about?" She asked and your low eyes blinked a few times. "It was always the same. I was 10 or so." You say remembering every detail of the nightmare you've been having for years.
"I'm playing with Neteyam and Lo'ak and then someone don't know who, picks me up and puts me into this tiny, tiny room and they stick me into it and lock the door, throwing away the key. And every year the room gets smaller and smaller. It was like a clock. And then one day the people who stuck me into the room take me out only to hand me to someone and those hands hand me to this faceless boy or man I have no idea. And he was cruel so cruel and no matter what I tried to do differently in the dream I always ended up right there, trapped."
This was the first time you told anyone this, truth be told this is the first time you even told yourself this.
It was silent for a minute before Tuk reached up and gave you a small kiss on the cheek. "You won't be trapped sissy because Sullys stick together so we'll protect you." She says and you giggle as tears form in your eyes, your lips form a line and you sniffle trying to contain the tears. Tuk cuddled her back closer into you as she curled into a ball and held into your arm. Before she drifted off into a peaceful slumber she whispered something.
"I'm glad we found you sissy."
The tears in your eyes finally fell as she went to bed and you couldn't help but feel a tingle of joy inside your chest but also a hint of despair you couldn't point on why but it was there.
