( makes a lot of sense cuz I have a request before the last one and wonder if it got to the shadow zone )

Anyways, let's remake the request, aunt reader after Kiri got her seizure aunt stay with her brother and also try to be the supportive person, and when the kids gets kidnapped her down to earth demeanor change to one of her wanting blood and during the raid she fight everything she got to get the kids out of the ship and to safety

But she sacrificed her life to make sure that the kids are all out, Neteyam is alive but not aunty reader

Her final words to the family is to keep on going and she gift her brother and neytiri their parents ring saying mom would have wanted them to keep it

Avatar
I swear I couldn't make this any longer. I have three nephews, they are still little. But shit… I would give my life for my chicks. This series of 'aunt y/n' touches my heart.

"Kids come here" you hear your mom call out to you. It was a beautiful afternoon, and you were playing with your two older brothers. The three of you quickly arrived in the kitchen, where your mother was. She was sitting at the table, and she had a pretty little yellow box. "Mom what's that?" says Jake, sitting down next to you. While your other brother sat next to your mother. "Here's something very important…" she opens the box and in it is a beautiful ring. It had an emerald in the center, and it was golden. "I want you to…keep this." She takes it in her hands, and places the ring on a small chain. Then she reaches over and places it around your older brother's neck. Jake stood next to you, as you both watched their mother. " This will be your sign of life…ok, when someone is away. This will be given to the next one." She says, you could tell she was tired. Mom had been sick for a long time…so it was time to pass the ring on.

imagine how the sully boys would react to your sudden death right after you both fought or had an argument? — i don’t know why i wrote this but i had to write the pain i’m going through.
warnings — mention of death, numb feelings, losing mate, blood mention, lmk if i have to add anything.

i’m so sorry” — jake sully

jake would instantly know something is wrong, that something has definitely happened to you. he would fly his ikran to where his friends had called him through the neck microphone, worry settling in him.

right the moment he lands to the ground, the na’vi’s that were covering your body opened a way for him. jake doesn’t say anything, looking at their eyes and questioning what was wrong. they only gave him a sad gaze, avoiding his eyes.

he could feel his knees weakening as he kept getting closer and closer. his heart raced, mind drifting to ugly thoughts.

jake let a small whimper out when your body came to view. he swallowed the pain on his throat, blinking the tears away. you’re laying on the floor, eyes closed and your sister next to you, holding onto your lifeless hand and crying.

she would look up to his standing figure, shaking her head and crying more. jake locked eyes with her before returning his gaze back to you. he was slow when he kneeled next to your body.

your lips were dry, no life in your face like there was minutes before you two argued and left him. jake bites on his inner cheek, pushing the threatening sob down to the pit of his chest.

the world shut down, the only source of light was your body in his mind. “baby.” he says, voice cracking and ears folding to his hair. you didn't answer him and it was breaking him. “c’mon, open your eyes.” he would brush his hand on the cold skin of your cheek.

“they shot her, they shot her when she was trying to save us.” your sister cried more.

jake told you not to do anything, at least not until he gave you an order but you were always stubborn. you always said no to things he told you not to do, you were the opposite.

jake closes his eyes, sneaking his arm under your head and pulling you to his body. he just wants to be close to you. he doesn’t say anything, the na’vi people watching him in concern when he just silently hugs you close to him.

you’re dead now, you’re no longer with him.

if only you heard him, if only you stopped being a stubborn brat and followed his orders. he still remembers how he yelled at you, telling you nothing you do will be worthy.

you just wanted him to know you can protect the people. your people.

jake softly cries, tears free from his eyes. “i’m sorry.” he would cry, holding you close like you’re the only oxygen he needed. “i’m so sorry, baby.” he cries. jake was never going to forgive himself after this. no, he just can’t live happily knowing he was somehow the reason that led you to your death.

“i’m sorry.” he would whisper as he kept crying.

“she’s not answering me” neteyam sully

you died protecting him.

neteyam won’t ever stop taking the blame, not when you died taking a bullet for him. everything was in a slow mo, you screaming his name and throwing yourself on top of him.

he felt your body fall on top of him, tumbling him down to the floor. he cursed under his breath, arms wrapped on your waist to prevent you from getting hurt. “shit.” from the corner of his eyes, he can see his brother shooting the enemies and killing them all at once.

once everything was silent, neteyam held onto your back, about to get you up but he was met with a warm liquid smearing over his fingers.

he brings his hand up to see blood all over his hand and instant panic hits him. “princess?” he tries to shake you but you’re not budging. he was fast to roll you over, him on top of you and calling your name.

you’re not answering and it was eating him alive.

“don’t play with me, pretty girl, c’mon.” he taps on your cheek, looking down to see the hole the bullet created from your side to your stomach. neteyam can sense lo’ak walking close to him and gasping when he sees the mess.

“lo’ak, she's not answering me.” the panic and pain was visible in neteyam’s voice. your eyes are closed, not breathing, it was driving your mate crazy. “LO’AK! SHE’S NOT OPENING HER EYES?!” he was in pain, cradling your face to his large hands and humming.

“c’mon baby, lo-look at me.” his breath hitches, tears blurring his vision. “please, eywa, no.” it was in a blink of an eye when he lost you, when neteyam lost you to a fucking bullet.

he doesn’t care how he was looking maniac in front of his family that got here now. he can’t live without you, it’s hard without you. nothing was worth it without you and you’re just gone like that.

neteyam won’t be able to live one moment with you no longer next to him. he can’t and won’t accept the fact you died protecting him.

“i can’t lose you.” — lo’ak sully.

lo’ak knew the trouble he causes would make him pay consequences and he knew dragging you into his problems would cost him high prices.

he doesn’t even know how things turned dark so fast, how the sound of you giggling while you two hide in the bush from the skypeople shifted to where you’re now fighting for your life and whimpering in pain.

“hang on baby, we’re almost there.” he holds you close, trying to sit you straight and help you lean on his chest while he flies you both with his ikran.

the skypeople found you two and tried to get you, but lo’ak was fast enough to get you both out of there but what he didn’t know was you had been shot on your chest while he kept dragging you by your hand.

“lo’ak, i can’t breath.” your loincloth was soaked with your own blood. lo’ak let a cry out, pressing his hand to your chest and commanding his ikran to hurry. “no, try to breath, i can’t lose you.”

he knew he was going to lose you, he knows you’re gonna die sooner or later but lo’ak was in denial. your vision was blurry but you know you’re not far from the village now. but the sad thing was you know you don’t have much time.

you’re barely conscious when the ikran lands on the camp. lo’ak sliding down before bringing you down and securing his arms under your knee and back. you cough, metalic taste on your tongue. “lo’ak…” he heard you whisper but he only shushed you, telling you not to waste your energy.

“SOMEONE HELP! MY MATE IS DYING?!” you can hear him cry, your head lolling to his chest. he knew you didn't have much time, the blood you lost was too much and was smearing on both of your bodies, your vision suddenly turned white, something pulling you down in force.

lo’ak watches the na’vi’s gasp in shock, your weight now heavy on his hold. he was scared to look down, his heart in pain when he didn't feel you breathing. lo’ak sucks a deep breath and looks at you, taking your relaxed features.

his knees were weak, he was now kneeling and placing you on the ground. “no,” he silently whispers. lo’ak glances at your chest and it’s not moving, you’re not breathing and something in him breaks. “no, no, no.” you’re gone too soon.

his bloody large palm pressing on chest, trying to get your life back. “you just can’t leave, wake up.” he cries, shaking his head. lo’ak brings your blood smeared and lifeless hand to his cheek, trying to feel your warmth but nothing was there.

“open your eyes fr’me, look at me.” he hates how the people are watching him in sympathy, his mother’s voice getting closer. your eyes are open, staring on nothing when you’re being cradled to his arm. your blood was all over his face, hand, chest.

no one knows what happened, you two were laughing when you left for a flying date but now lo’ak is back with a lifeless body of a person who he saw his future with.

lo’ak keeps crying, having your body close to him and hissing when the na’vi’s try to take you away. he knew his actions will have consequences but on eywa he never thought you were the price he was costing.

are we feeling okay? i need thoughts on this cause i can’t be the only one suffering now teehee ;D — like + reblogs are super appreciated!

"Dad."

"Daddy, wake up!"

With a muffled sigh, Jake reluctantly opens his eyes. His eyes burn from the lack of hours of sleep and his fatigue. He waits for his eyes to adjust their focus on a little blue face just above him.

"What happened?", Jake props himself up on his elbow as he looks around alarmed trying to find any sign of danger.

"It's Mom, she rushed out of our tent. She doesn't look well at all, and well, we didn't know what to do," Neteyam said with a worried look on his face, watching his father sit up and reason through the situation. It was still early in the morning and he really hadn't been able to sleep properly the last few days because of his responsibilities as Olo'eyktan and, well, as a father of three children.

Lo'ak and Kiri were also awake, equally worried waiting for some response coming from their father.

"Okay, fine. Thanks for letting me know. Where is she now?", Jake asked looking at his children as he stood up.

"Outside by the trees."

"Okay, go back to sleep, I will take care of your mother," Jake's voice contained concern, but he did his best to mask it and not worry his children further.

Kiri looked incredulously at his father, stepping in front of him and stopping his passage, "Let's not go to sleep knowing something is wrong with Mom! Daddy, I want to help."

"It's okay babygirl, I'll take care of it. Then go back to bed now, I don't want to see anyone sleepy when they wake up!"

"But Dad-"

"That's all", Jake narrowed his eyes at the three of them and nodded his head towards the bed, Then he turned and hurried away to come to you.

You definitely weren't feeling well. You were experiencing frequent vomiting and dizziness, and you also felt weaker and more tired. Despite this, you were used to it from your other times of pregnancy.

Anyway, today was not an abnormal day. You woke up sweating along with a sour feeling in your throat. You immediately ran to the middle of the trees to get whatever was in your stomach out, taking as much care as possible not to wake any of your children and even your husband who deserved to rest, even more so with the stress he had been under in the last weeks because of problems in the clan.

The early morning air relieved the intense heat you felt throughout your body. You breathed for a few seconds and then finally got rid of the horrible feeling that persisted in settling in your throat.

As you recovered from the episode, you paid no attention to the cautious footsteps behind you and jumped when you felt large hands on your neck caressing them. Your ear crunched against your skull as your head turned full back to detect the intruder.

"Hey, hey, calm down, it's me, Jake," he said stepping in front of her and showing that he wasn't some kind of predator or anything.

"Ah, damn it Jake! Don't sneak up on people like that!" you hissed at him as you slapped his arm.

"Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Jake put his hands on your head caressing you as he said, "So, is everything okay? Why didn't you wake me up to help you?"

You looked away from Jake's face ashamed of the state you were in. There was no reason to be embarrassed, this was common and it's not like this was your first time, you knew that. But you still felt uncomfortable waking Jake who was sleeping so peacefully, "It's just…. I could handle it on my own, there was no reason to bother you."

Jake sighed, turning you towards him as he placed his hands on your neck lightly brushing your cheeks, "Honey, no matter what the situation, you will never be a bother to me. Even more so when it involves you and my baby," Jake concluded by placing a kiss on your nose and pressing your foreheads together.

His heart filled with love. You don't know how much good you did in life to have a family as beautiful as yours. Jake and your children were the greatest blessing the Great Mother could give you.

You smiled, resting your hands on Jake's arm. You just enjoyed that moment with him for a few seconds, and then said, "I love you, Ma'Jake."

Jake passed his arms around you in a tight hug, tasting the warmth and presence of his companion, the one who provided him with the most beautiful family he could ever imagine one day having, the one who blessed every morning when he woke up and gave him strength each day. "I love you too, tiyawn. But you really need to call me when you're not feeling well."

You let out a small laugh at your husband's concern and just murmured, "Okay, I count on your protection."

You both stood there for a few minutes, just feeling each other's presence and exchanging caresses while listening to the various noises coming from the forest.

"We should head back now, I'm better now," you said pulling away from Jake, taking his hand and starting to pull him back to their shared tent.

"Wait, wait," Jake stopped his steps, approaching you again as he placed one of his hands on your stomach, lightly rubbing the small bulge that stood out on your belly, "Is the baby okay?"

You looked at Jake in surprise at the sudden question. Placing your hand over Jake's hand, you let out a minimally loud laugh, "He's fine Jake Sully. The baby is healthy. Now come on," you took his hand and walked back to your tent once more, "We have other babies to take care of."

Jake let out a playful snort as he followed his majestic companion back home.

As soon as you entered the hut, you were able to hear murmurs coming from the heap of little bodies in the hammock. You assumed that your little ones were just having dreams, but then your thoughts were interrupted by Jake's scolding voice.

"What did I say about going back to sleep?", Jake crossed his arms over his chest, waiting for a response from the mountain of children in the hammock in their terrible pretense at being asleep.

"We are sleeping," Lo'ak raised her head to answer her father, quickly shifting her gaze to you next to Jake.

Jake pinched the middle of his nose in annoyance letting out a sigh in the process, "Silly child, sleeping people don't talk!"

"It's Lo'ak, you skxawng!!!", Kiri slapped his brother on the head who promptly let out a 'Hey!' for the aggression. Neteyam completely ignored the idiot fights of his brothers and ran into his arms.

"Mom! Are you okay? What happened?"

You stooped down to little Neteyam's level and planted your hands on his cheeks, cracking a wide smile at the sight of your son, "I'm fine, 'itan. How long have you been awake?"

Lo'ak and Kiri soon joined his arms nestling into his neck. Her heart filled with affection for her children, becoming almost unbearable. Jake was standing off to the side watching everything, almost envying his companion's attention to his children.

"I heard you get up and leave, I was afraid of what might have happened, so I called Daddy," Lo'ak sniffled softly, squeezing you even tighter.

You smiled as you collectively hugged your children, stroking their heads and soothing them, "Oh my baby, I'm fine, see? It was just… a mishap."

"Yes, so we need to let your mother sleep to regain her energy," Jake intruded into the conversation pulling you out from among the children and carrying you to bed.

You looked at him with an unreadable face, allowing yourself to be snuggled into Jake's chest as strong arms encircled your waist.

"Jake!" you tried to pull away, but as expected, was unsuccessful; so your only option was to lie down in defeat feeling a hand from Jake snake into your stomach and lightly caress the bulge.

"Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, come to sleep. You must be tired after Mommy disturbed your sleep," you held out your arm for the children to snuggle in your protection.

There wasn't even time to think about the proposition, the children soon went into their parents' arms, getting as close as possible to each other.

Jake protected his belly from the children's jerky movements as he alarmed his children, "Hey, watch your mother's belly!"

"Ma'Jake, it's okay, they're just babies," you said stroking your companion's arm with a wide smile opening on your lips. Jake sighed defeatedly, nuzzling his head into the curve of your neck and inhaling your scent. He was truly lucky for the woman he had.

His heart overflowed with affection. It was an unimaginable love that you felt for your family. A family you built with the one you love, a partner you trust. You couldn't have asked anything more from Eywa, not after she blessed you with the most sacred family in your existence.

Your eyes filled lightly with tears; pure tears of care and love, for your children, for your Jake, for your life.

"Good night, my little ones," you said in a whisper, realizing that the children were no longer able to keep their eyes open. They even looked as if they were waiting for a confirmation of your love for them.

Jake let out an anasalated laugh, also closing his eyes as fatigue consumed him and sleep called him into the dream world again. As a last prayer, Jake said in an almost inaudible whisper, only for nearby hearts to hear:

"I love you all. You are my greatest fortress."

I'm sorry if it seemed rushed at the end, I was anxious to finish and may have gone too fast 😭
I hope it was a good read! I kind of liked it for my first story; but I hope to improve in the future

Tsireya silently works along you, as you’re gathering berries. She doesn’t ask you anything about last night but you’re convinced that she suspects something happened.

“Y/N,” you hear someone call out your name.

Neytiri waves you over. You notice her wearing a different belt with two small knives hanging from each side, and a bow in her hands. Oh shit.

“Are you going to fly with Neytiri?” Tsireya asks, curiously. You nod.

“Come,” Neytiri shouts again.

glossary:

yawne - beloved

tiyawn - love

yawne?”

you look up from where you were seated cross cross on the ground. he stood in front of you, holding down a large leaf that had been in his way.

he had that smile, that same smile he always had: goofy and happy. so full of love for you that it made your heart swell. today, it made your heart break.

“neteyam,” you breathed out. you had seen him millions of times before, and every time it was like seeing him for the first time. this time wasn’t like that. it didn’t feel like the first time, not in any way. maybe that was because you knew it was the last, “you’re here.”

“of course i am, silly. come, i want to show you something.” his hand reached down for yours. for a moment, you hesitated. that had never happened before. never had you been scared to feel his touch.

as your hand slipped into his, the fear melted away. it was just as warm as before. it still had the caliciouses his bow had given him.

“neteyam—,”

“you’re gonna love it, trust me!” your face morphed into confusion as he pulled you along. the forest was a mystery to you, having never seen it before. you had talked to neteyam before about him taking you to see his home, but never were you able to go there.

you wondered why jake and neytiri saw a memory, while you saw something that hadn’t happened. that would never happen.

“what is it?” you found yourself asking. your voice was so quiet, fighting tears that were building up inside of you. it hadn’t been more than a few days but it had felt like years since you had felt his touch. it felt like forever since you had heard his voice.

the thought that soon it would be years, and it would be forever, only continued to crush your soul.

“you’ll have to wait, yawne.” his cheeky smile didn’t bring one out of you. it only caused you to close your eyes and bite your bottom lip once he turned away.

that name. you don’t remember when he first started calling you it, but after he did you never heard your name leave his lips again, and you wouldn’t have it any other way. except now, the name that usually brought you how only hurt. hurt because you would miss it so much.

he didn’t remember. you knew he didn’t. in a way, it was comforting to you that he didn’t remember what had happened. he didn’t deserve to have to remember the pain and the fear.

different from the pain and fear you had felt, but still as devastating. you wouldn’t want him to remember leaving them just like she wished she could forget the way the light left his eyes.

as much as you were glad he didn’t remember such a moment, it destroyed you inside. you wouldn’t ruin it for him and distress his peaceful soul, but it hurt to keep it all inside when all you wanted was to break down with him.

“we’re almost there.” he informed you, excitement dripping from his voice. this did make you smile, albeit it was small and watery.

his childish excitement was one like no other. once the war started, his childhood ended. neteyam was forced to be completely responsible for all three of his younger siblings, who had a tendency to get in trouble. that duty put him in more dangerous situations than not. it’s what got him killed.

it’s what took neteyam from you.

not once as you followed behind him did you take your eyes off him. no, you wouldn’t. you would spend every moment available memorizing his features. every curve on his face and body, every pattern, every freckle. you would have to, knowing that after this the only place you will be seeing him in is your dreams.

when all else was gone, you refused to have an false version of him in your head at night.

“you are quiet.” neteyam commented as he slowed his pace. you felt air catch in your throat, body tensing. you couldn’t speak, fearful of what would come out instead of words, and it had given you away.

“i’m just…” you paused to contain yourself, “i’m just happy, tiyawn.”

you smiled weakly, thumb rubbing his hand while he smiled at you. he always loved when you called him that, claiming that it made him invincible. what an idiot you were for believing it.

“i’m happy, too. i’ve been waiting so long to show you this.” neteyams smile was so real. she wished she could reciprocate it. he deserved it. he didn’t deserve this heartbroken version of you.

instead of waiting for a response from you, he turned back around. his hand raised and slowly, he dragged down a leaf. instantly, it revealed one of the most beautiful sights you had ever seen.

it was a tree, a very large one. tall and wide with thousands of dripping, glowing tendrils. they were like multiple raindrops all connected with a purple tint.

“wow.” was what you muttered. it was beautiful, but it was nothing compared to how neteyam looking as the trees lights reflected off his skin. the beautiful smile, glowing freckles that looked like the eclipse night, the trees glow mirrored in his eyes.

no. no, it wasn’t fair. how could this happen? this couldn’t be real.

“come.” neteyam continued to pull you further towards the tree. you put your complete trust in him to guide you well as you frantically wiped at the tears that escaped your eyes. you were falling apart at the seams and you knew it wouldn’t take longer before you collapsed.

neteyam came to a stop once you reached the tree. he looked up at the tendrils with awe, as if looking up at an infinite staring sky. you looked at him.

“do you remember that song i showed you the other day?”

you didn’t. you wondered if this was apart of the false memory, or maybe you were too overwhelmed by grief to know what he was talking about. you nodded anyway, trying to hide the trembling of you lips.

neteyam smiled as he pulled you in, both hands folded behind your back, your hands on his shoulders. he began to hum. it was a soft and gentle tune, slow and smooth. there was a bit of familiarity to it, but you didn’t pay any focus to it. it didn’t matter to you, not really. only he did.

all that mattered was him as he swayed your bodies. all that mattered was his touch. his smell. his voice. there wasn’t anyway you could lose this. you couldn’t lose him.

his hands dragged up to your hands, holding one as he pulled back. your eyes closed as he lifted your connected hands above your heads and twirled your body. you didn’t open you eyes even as he had pulled you back in and your foreheads touched.

he laughs and it’s like music to your ears. it’s everything. it gives you life and takes it at the same time.

it was so cruel. such a happy moment between lovers, the perfect moment. a great goodbye, but that’s just what it is, goodbye.

no matter how hard one tries, finding happiness in a goodbye with the love of your life was impossible. it was crushing.

neteyam laughs and you smile, but you can feel your heart breaking. you can feel pieces of it falling out and dropping into the infinite abyss inside you. you open your eyes, looking at his happy expression even as his eyes stayed closed.

he’s so beautiful. he was so beautiful.

you can’t control it anymore, the tears flowing freely down your face. you bit your lip as you faught. you tried, you tried so hard, but a sob escaped your lips. neteyams eyes instantly snapped open. his hands disconnected from yours as he placed them on your jaw.

“what’s wrong, yawne?”

“i just— i love you so much, neteyam.” you say through your tears.

neteyam smiles down at you as he tries to wipe the tears away despite it making no difference, “i love you too, (y/n).”

that was it. that was your breaking point. as much as you loved the pet name, there is something so intimate about hearing your name roll off his tongue. it was like finalization, confirmation that it was all real. that he was gone.

your hands grabbed his wrists as you cried, “please. please, don’t leave me.” his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

“i’m not going anywhere, (y/n).”

that’s right. he doesn’t remember. this goodbye was one-sided.

“i don’t know how to live without you, neteyam.” you sobbed out, knees finally buckling beneath you. neteyam easily held you up and allowed you to melt into him. the sobs that left you had your entire body trembling.

he was so warm, so soft. it felt real. you wished more than anything it was. you would give anything.

“just be happy.” your heart stopped.

you swear it did as you pulled away, not once letting go of him, face now scrunched up.

“what?” he knew. this whole time, he knew, and he had been pretending. why? “why would you…” you trailed off, more tears gathering. he smiled his kind, loving smile.

“all i want is for you to be happy, (y/n). i want you to have this happy memory, real or not. and i want you to be happy after this over.” you had already felt your heart break at the sight of his death, like you had died with him; but this felt like your soul leaving your body.

all the warmth of you, all the happiness in your life felt like nothing. because what was your life without neteyam in it?

“and i just really wanted to show you the forest.” he gave you a cheeky laugh, one you couldn’t deny a smile for, but you continued to cry. how could you not?

he didn’t falter as you cried. he didn’t even tear up. even in death he forced himself to be strong and to take care of others.

“there isn’t enough time. there’s— there’s so much to say, so much to do.” you fumbled out quickly in between gasping breaths. neteyams thumb rubbed your cheek and somehow it made things worse all while comforting your soul. he nodded.

“not nearly enough.” he whispered. then he leaned in, connecting their lips. your arms wrapped around his neck tightly, pulling him in as close as possible.

there wasn’t enough time to say or do what was needed, but this kiss, it would have to be enough. it would have to convey every emotion, every apology, every i love you, every i need you, and every goodbye.

while the pain of not being able to say it out loud would haunt you for the rest of your life, you would live in peace knowing that he knew, and that the love you shared would be infinite.

“i can’t lose you.” time was running out you could feel it; the tug on your body as eywa was calling you out. you couldn’t leave, not yet. it was all going to fast.

“you will never lose me, (y/n). i am always with you.” you shook your head at his words, his nodding. you had to believe it.

neteyam needed you to survive this and move on. he couldn’t find peace knowing you never let go. he couldn’t say goodbye if you didn’t. it was the one thing keeping him together, knowing you and his family would be okay.

please. please, neteyam! i can’t— i can’t. i can’t say goodbye, you know i can’t. please, this can’t be the end.” you finally dropped to the floor. neither of you had the strength to stay standing anymore

neteyam blinked back his tears. he wouldn’t let you see them, “it’s not goodbye, you know that. we will be together again.”

you pulled away and looked at him. it was true. one day you would return the energy you borrowed from eywa and you and neteyam would be together.

until then, you had a whole life ahead of you. a whole life you had planned to live with neteyam. a whole life he would be missing out on and you would be living without him.

you two wouldn’t see the forest together. you wouldn’t officially mate, or get married. you wouldn’t go riding ikrans or play with his family. you wouldn’t have children and raise a family.

maybe one day those things would happen to you, but never neteyam.

you’ll grow older, but neteyam will always stay the same age.

“you know, my dad taught us this earth phrase, many years ago,” neteyam couldn’t help as a tear slipped from his eye, and he smiled brightly, “instead of goodbye, i’ll say ‘see you later, alligator’.”

you let out another sob, neteyam holding back one of his own. even through his attempts to hide it, your could see his sadness on his face. his smiling lips trembled and his eyes were drowning.

“and what do i say?” you forced out, trying to control your shaking body as you held onto him tightly.

his teeth showed as he smiled, “you say ‘in a while, crocodile’.”

“in a— in a while, croc— croco,” you couldn’t. you felt bile rushing up your throat and your chest physically hurt.

neteyam pulled you back into him. your face was smushed so tightly into his chest you almost couldn’t breathe, but you didn’t care. if anything, you wanted him to suffocate you so you wouldn’t have to leave him.

his arms were wrapped tightly around you while his lips rested against your head. more tears dropped down his cheeks.

“in a while, crocodile.” he whispered.

your eyes opened. this time, neteyam wasn’t there waiting for you. he was there, but not really. the sea had taken him, pandora giving his body a knew home within it. his soul had returned to eywa.

his borrowed energy, gone.

a hand on your arm pulled your attention. your eyes connected with the amber ones of jake. they reminded you of his son. together, the both of you and neytiri swam back up to the surface, gasping lightly for air.

you saw as the three remaining silly children cried. they cried for their brother. they cried for the pain in their hearts and the pain that would follow them for the rest of their lives.

at the sight of them, you swallowed your sadness. you would ignore the repeating words of the goodbye you had just exchanged with neteyam.

you felt so incredibly broken inside all you could focus on was the numbness. the numbness you felt from the missing piece of you soul. the missing piece neteyam filled.

you would use this to your advantage. with this numbness, the pain would be easier to ignore, and you would be able to comfort the family.

you did just that as you walked down the beach with them, hand in hand with both lo’ak and kiri.

as you walked, the feeling of their hands brought you back to neteyams. you thought back to the feeling of them. you could still feel the lingering touch of them.

you instantly switched thoughts. it was too much for you. when you were placed between lo’ak and kiri inside the hut, you wondered why you were there. half of you felt you didn’t deserve to be, the other plain confused. you didn’t really remember walking into the hut, let alone sitting down.

jake sat in front of kiri, allowing his youngest daughter sit in his lap to comfort her while neytiri started a fire. both parents had such a far off look in their eyes. sitting here felt weird.

it was off, unbalanced. neteyam was no longer sitting beside lo’ak making sure he behaved. he no longer sent smiles to you from across the room or squeezed your hand. it felt wrong.

it was silent. until it wasn’t.

“(y/n), do you want to talk about it?” kiri asked softly, as to not disturb any of the mourning. neytiri glanced at you as she placed her final piece of wood in the fire. everyone, except you, watched as neytiri walked over and took a spot beside jake.

tuk crawled into her mothers arms while neytiri nodded at you

“you should.” you finally looked up, processing the eyes on you and lo’aks hand in yours. kiris hand came up to rest on your knee.

why was this family comforting you? they should be the ones being comforted. they lost a son and a brother.

“i should ask you.” you replied, your voice soft and a bit raspy. you hadn’t spoken in a while, days even. the only time you had spoken was when you were connected with eywa, and you cried more than spoke.

“you are mourning him as much as the rest of us. you love him.” jake spoke up next, taking the words right from his mate who nodded.

as you went over his words, you wanted to break down all over again.

‘love’ not ‘loved’. present, not past. your love neteyam, even though he’s gone. your love did not disappear along with him. you didn’t think it ever would.

“i..” you began to slowly speak, “i was in the forest with him. he was so excited and happy.” your hand squeezed lo’aks at the memories. you wanted to go back. you wanted to never leave, to never leave him.

you wanted him back.

“we danced.” tears flowed from your eyes, your voice starting to get weak. “he pretended he didn’t know, but— but when i broke, he comforted me.” it was getting hard. the sobs were starting to reappear.

“he just wants me to be— be happy.” lo’ak pulled his arms around you. maybe he decided to take up neteyams job as caretaker. maybe for guilt or respect, or maybe he truly wanted to comfort you and be comforted. his eyes didn’t tell.

“there wasn’t enough time. i just needed more time, we-“ if you wanted to stop it was too late now, your cries were now a never ending river after the dam broke. jake had found his own place in the circle, holding neytiri's hands while looking at you sadly.

“i just want him back.” you said more softly. lo’ak found his head nodding as he rubbed you. kiris head leaned on your shoulder as you cried together. tuk climbed from neytiri to hug around your waist. jake moved closer to neytiri as he began to cry himself.

lo’ak started to cry when he saw jake cry. his father, who lo’ak had gotten used to being so strong and firm, had started to cry. the first time jake was allowing his greif to consume him.

together, as a family, you cried. you held onto each other for dear life, because that’s what it was. the fear of death had always been lurking, but neteyam was a reality check. the final straw.

this family was now going to be stronger than ever, together. no one else was going to be lost. it was more than just a safe place.

it was a fortress, and no one would allow it to be penetrated.

a/n: just something i thought of a bit ago and finally took time to write. in the nicest way possible, i hope you cried🫶🏻

also ik ceilings is like a breakup song (maybe) but literally listen to the last few lyrics and tell me it isn’t perfect. ‘it’s not real and you don’t exist’? ‘the start/end of a movie i’ve seen before’? ‘in the car’ instead of your car cause there is no you and there is no neteyam. it’s perfect idc and the best just makes it sadder.

i’ve also finished the next chapter of the lo’ak story and began the one after so be ready for that🤭

neteyam sully going all gentle and sweet when he fucks you until you try to run away from the pleasure he is giving you and he snaps? omg please — no but like i want this blue man so bad and i know you do too. 🧎🏽‍♀️
warnings – p in v, inexperienced reader, brief clit stimulation, p penetration, soft sex but turns to slightly rough, edging-ish? idk, size kink, multiple orgasms, pussy tapping, neteyam is the man we all want, overstimulation, light grinding… that’s it i hope i didn’t miss non ; wc 2.2k!

neteyam would look at you with pure love and care only, wanting to pleasure you and make you see stars. he does not miss how your chest heave up when he lightly touches your soaked slit, eyes glancing down to your folds then up to your barely open eyes.

“feels good, princess?” you only mewl, he hasn't started yet but you’re falling apart. neteyam lets a soft groan out when you whimper, his middle finger applying pressure on your throbbing nub, flicking it side to side

such a pleasing sight.

the man on top of you was quick to hold on your thigh, pushing it wider and glaring at you when you try to buck your hips away from him. “sweet girl.” he warns, now two fingers stroking your slit, you arch your back, your clit rolling between the gap his finger had.

“‘teyam.” you whisper, hands sought between your legs and wrapping against his wrist. you just shake your head when you feel something coming back and forth. your legs shaking cause your mate to chuckle.

“i haven’t touched you yet, you're quivering, princess.”

his tone makes it harder, latching to his wrist and closing your thighs against his arm. “it hurts, i feel like pe–”. “you are about to cum.” he cuts you off.

your eyes shut tightly, legs shaking uncontrollably and chest heaving up and down crazily. “neteyam!” you whine when he suddenly stops. pulling back his fingers, he finds your silly face cute when it twists as he licks in his finger, taking all your wetness.

once done with his fingers, neteyam slowly brings his hand to your body, running them on your curves, squeezing on every part of your plushy meat. he hums when he touches your breast, so perfect and swelled that it fits so much in his hand.

“please?” your voice is soft when you speak, eyes watching how your mate raises a brow. “please what?” he says and you gulp, your throat starting to dry out. “more, nete’ i want more.”

neteyam leans to kiss the side of your mouth and removes his hand from you, you shriek when he holds you by the curve of your waist and raises you slightly up to the hammock.

your back settles on the cold mattress, whining as you miss his touch on your burning skin.

he starts from your breastbone, trailing wet kisses down to your stomach, his hands squeeze on yout breast causing you to watch your back and press to him more. he watches your reaction, fuck you’re so hot.

you really wanted to open your eyes and watch what he was doing to you but you can’t, but when his lips on your skin are foaming your brain. neteyam literally has your mind spinning.

you didn’t notice how he was facing your leaking pussy until he was throwing your thighs over your shoulder. neteyam grips on your flesh snd phlld you close to his face, his hot breath fanning over your clit.

shocked, you look down at him and watch how his amber eyes are telling you to trust him. of course you simply do trust him. your eyes slightly widen when he takes out his pink bold and gives your pussy a bold lick.

your head falls to the soft pillow, jaw dropping but no sound leaving you. your one hand fists on the sheets while the other finds its way to his hair.

“oh” you choke giving him a boost to confidently lap on your slick and fuck his tongue in you.

neteyam wraps his lips around your clit, eyes shut and starts to suck on the nub instantly making you lose it and moan loudly. neteyam doesn’t give a fuck, this was your honeymoon and he was going to make sure the whole town knew you are his and he was the reason to this sound.

or maybe the na’vi’s could rub or jerk off their frustration to your sound. who knows, right?

he doesn’t mind, literally letting you put all your pent up emotions and feelings on his hair, pulling on him when he eats you out. he feels so fucking lucky.

you kept getting wetter in his tongue, your orgasm just leaking out of you. neteyam keeps licking you clean like a thirsty man he was, taking all the sweetness from what you give him. “mh-mh.” his voice vibrates on your pussy and you cry out.

neteyam won’t lie when he says that was unexpected but the way you came undone was so attractive. your half body rising up from the bed and brows knit when your cum oozes out your cunt. fuck. fuck. fuck.

neteyam gives your clit kitten licks, stimulating your nub and grazing his teeth on it.

“‘teyam,” your voice is so desperate, you know what’s about to come. you and neteyam are gonna be one soul now, he was going to fuck you, mark you as his when he slides in you, and you invite him.

your chest rises and falls when he comes to your view. neteyam was soaked with your slick nectar from his nose down to his chin, and slightly few rolls on his neck. “see what you did, hm?” you look away, feeling like it’s forbidden to see.

“no,” he hovers over you, hand gripping on your jaw and making you face him. “look at the art you created, pretty girl.” you hesitate but give in, taking his appearance and the mess you caused.

“i’m gonna fuck you now yeah?” your ears fold against your hair, tail twitching with excitement. neteyam catches up with the move and grins. “gonna make you feel good.”

you bite on your lips, stopping the moan that begged to be freed.

neteyam presses a soft and gentle kiss on your lips, not sure what to expect. you decide to kiss him back and close your eyes to the feeling. his large hands were roaming on your body, memorizing your details.

what you don’t notice was how the other hand was stroking himself, getting himself ready to fill you up. neteyam pats on your thigh and pulls your left leg to his back, wrapping it against his waist while your other leg rests on the mattress.

your eyes shoot open when you feel him slide to your tight cunt, stretching you more than before when he did with his fingers. your eyes tear up and you whine to the kiss but neteyam only kisses you harder, as if it would distract you from the aching and hurting pain down there.

he was big, no, neteyam was huge. his tip was the only part that slid in yet you feel so full.

neteyam was large, full and firm in you when he enters you, his breath fanning over your lips. he tries to control his breathing, pupils blown wide. he loves how you cling to him, helping you with holding you close when he fucks you more and more deep.

“are you okay?” he asks looking down at you and breathless you give him a nod, placing your hand on the back of his neck. neteyam uses his hand and brings it to your chest, placing it between your breast and kissing your forehead.

“you’re doing good, try to breathe normally.” you didn’t notice that you’re heaving so up until he pointed it out.

neteyam takes your lips again and feels your muscle relax helping him sink into you until he bottoms out. the way your pelvis, the part below your navel pokes out with the shape of his dick and neteyam moans audibly.

you feel him place a soft kiss on your cheek, then your eyes, then your temple. neteyam was fighting and restraining himself from fucking you senseless and it was visible from the veins in his neck and arms.

you clench on him and his breathing ragged, shaking his head and whispering a silent, “don’t do that yet.” before opening his eyes and looking at you like you’re the only person he has.

am i hurting you?” he asks and your breath hitches, tears in your eyes when you shake your head.

you just wrap your legs around his waist, pulling him to you. “please neteyam.” you beg, he knows what you want, neteyam was just trying not to hurt you because this must be a special moment, for both of you and not painful.

neteyam only nods, strong arms trapping your head between them before he snaps his hips to you. you can’t help but moan, stomach fluttering with no pain found anywhere and pleasure striking.

his tip kisses the opening of your cervix and your body jolts up with every hard thrust he delivers.

over and over and over again you say his name, him only kissing your sweat beading skin and smiling at your state. his amber eyes look down at you, fascinated by your expression and body languages.

he was definitely not hurting you.

neteyam groans, one hand sneaking behind your knee and holding onto it before pinning it to the mattress. the change of position helps him stroke deeply and he watches his slippery cock leave your cunt only to push back in.

neteyam keeps you close, watching your face attentively if any pain occurs but it doesn’t seem like that, not when your eyes are rolled to the back of your head.

“baby.” he chokes and your legs tremble. still pinning your leg on its place, neteyam leans back to sit on the bed while still plunged to you. his arm holding him up leaves the side of your head and his hands wander to your body.

as if he was trying to claim a territory that has been granted to him.

neteyam hums, watching how you squirm under him when he finds his way to your clit. “wait net—oh great mother!” you shriek when he lightly taps on your pussy. trying to jump away from him but it only pisses him off.

“fucking running away?” his voice erupts goosebumps on your skin. “don’t. even. think. about. it.” with every word, the way he taps on your pussy gets violent and hard.

you don’t say anything, trying to turn side ways so you will escape his torture. “fuck no you don’t, princess.” the arm that was holding on your leg grips your hips and pins you flush against the sheets.

he whimpers when your kissy tightens on his dick, going flush on you and thrusting all the way to your gut. “take it, take me baby.” you cry, teeth trapped between your teeth. “there we go baby, squeeze me like that, such a good girl.” he lowly barks at you.

neteyam was stil holding your hips, accelerating his thrusts and pushing into you so deep.

“nete, i want to cum.” you spit, taking the man on top of you by surprise for your bold words. “yeah, you want it?” you were quick to nod. your body tingles from the orgasm you just had when he fucked you with his tongue yet you need more.

“then do it, do it now baby.” the hammock that’s to move, his rough thrust knocking it. “for me?” you nod, licking your dry lips. “for you!” you mewl, your voice going high at the last part.

you gush at him, leaking on his cock and milking him so good. “oh fuuuuck, oh fuck.” neteyam hisses, not too far from his own finishing line. it felt so good he wanted to be with you forever.

your legs are uncontrollably shaking, pain starting to hint on your body. the stimulation is being too much and neteyam isn’t cumming. “too much?” he says, thumb meeting your clit snd loving how you shake your head at the pleasure.

he likes to torture you. “i’m alm…” he stops, gritting his teeth when his balls tighten. “i’m gonna cum, i’m gonna— princess.” neteyam leans to you quick, wanting to be in your arms, to be held by you.

you wrap your arms on your head, much bigger than yours. you hold him tight just like he did minutes before, whispering to him to let go and give you every drop of him.

he whines to your chest when he cums, ropes of white strings webbing your cunt. you moan at the warm and heavy feeling inside you. you wait from him, neteyam only stays laying on your breast when he takes breath and calms himself.

you feel him kiss your breast valley before holding himself up. “i love you, i love you so much.” you smile, not caring that your cheeks are heating up when you suddenly feel shy and bare in front of him. “i love you too. this was amazing.”

you both giggle, neteyam pressing his forehead against you and silently thanking eywa for giving him you

Soft as Clouds

Neteyam x F!Reader

Summary: You weren't well known in the clan, and when you become friends with Tuk, no one believes her.

Warning: Straight up Flufff

When you were growing up, you found yourself wanting to linger in the background more than insert yourself into the everyday activities of those your age. Like now, you were currently lounging in a tree, eyes facing up at the clouds as they moved by at their own pace.

You were a gatherer for the clan, not that anyone knew. You would rise before the sun to go out and gather the sweetest, most bountiful food your clan had ever tasted, leaving it in the baskets by the main fire circle. The fruits were always plump and juicy, herbs and spices nicely placed in pouches for easy access.

You wanted to begin early to end early, opting to stay out of sight of others. Now, some knew of you, the elders for example always took a small notice on how you were much more reserved than others your age. Your parents of course knew you, but you were a failure of a child in their eyes. At your age you should've been chosen for a mate, or made a mark on the clan in some positive way, but you didn't, so they turned their attention to your more 'promising' younger siblings.

You never cared, preferring your more modest lifestyle of peaceful serenity.

"Whoa! What are you doing up there?"

But Great Mother had other plans for you.

You gazed over the side of the branch you were currently laying on, brushing your hair that had fallen into your eyes away, spotting a young girl in the forest floor below you.

This was not just any girl, oh no, this was Tuktirey, Toruk Maktos youngest child.

You let a small smile slip on your face as you slowly began a decent, swift and agile, like that of a cat.

You knelt infront of her, your eyes meeting hers that were still so full of child like wonder, "what are you doing here small one?" Tuk giggled, looking side to side as if looking for something, or someone.

"I was following my brothers, but I guess I got lost," Extending a hand to Tuk, "Well, let us get you home then," her small fingers wrapped around yours and you both began your walk, going back down the path you had made from the times you ventured out here.

Tuk couldn't help but wonder why she had never seen you before, yet she thought you were very beautiful. The aura that surrounded you was so soft and peaceful, it made her feel instantly safe.

"Why do you come out here, it's very far from home? Are you a hunter or a gatherer? Your hair is very pretty, can you do mine like that? Wait! What's your name?" Tuk rambled out, skipping beside you. A chuckle escaped your lips, you liked Tuk, she was very silly.

You stopped and knelt down beside her, her yellow eyes stared into your soft green eyes and she couldn't help but think you held the forest in your eyes, "My name is (Y/n), I much prefer to gather, and I think your hair is fine just the way it is, simply because it's yours,"

You couldn't help but boop her nose, her nose scrunched as she let out a laugh. You smiled, "now, what is your name?" Tuk felt like you already knew, but she puffed out her chest proud, "My name is Tuktirey, but you can call me Tuk!"

"Such a pretty name," you gasped, standing up and resuming your walk to the village. Tuk swung your intertwined hands back and forth, both of you finding comfort in eachother.

When you had finally happened upon the village, you could hear everyone in a state of panic. Tuk groaned, her ears pinned back, "I think they realized I was gone," you knelt beside her, both of you hidden just out of sight with the plants, "then maybe you should appear,"

Tuk hugged you, you wrapped your arms around her to return the embrace. "Will I see you again?" She asked, pulling away enough to see your face.

"Of course, I quite like you," you smiled, slowly giving her a nudge to the panicked clan members.

When Tuk had emerged out of the brush, the panicked cries turned into one's of relief and joy. Many ran over to embrace her, but by this point you had already vanished without a trace.

"Tuk! Where were you, we were worried sick!" Jake exclaimed, sweeping his youngest into his arms and giving her a extra tight hug. "I tried to follow Neteyam and Lo'ak but I got lost, but it's okay!" Tuk laughed, "I found (Y/n) and she helped me get home!"

Jake and Neytiri exchanged a look, as did some of the other clan members. Your name was no familiar, almost positive there was no one in the village who has that name.

"Tuk, what are you talking about?" Neytiri wondered, taking her child from her mate and settling her on the ground in front of her, "There is no one named (Y/n) in the village," Neytiri began to examine Tuk for a head injury, but Tuk pulled her head away in annoyance, "I know what happened, (Y/n) helped me, she's right,"

But when Tuk turned around to where you had been, you were gone, "she was right here," Tuk cried, but her parents chalked it up to fatigue from being lost all day.

"Come, you must eat and rest," Neytiri pulled Tuk along by the hand, which Tuk did almost sulkly, glancing back one more time to see you emerge and give her a wink before disappearing behind everyone's backs. Tuk grinned, now happily walking with her Mom.

~.~

Weeks had passed and Tuk now snuck off any chance she had to find you, sometimes waking up early to join you on your gathering. You were like another big sister to her, you were so soft and gentle with her, it almost reminded her of her own mother. You would show her the best places to gather fruit and herbs, show her how to move silently through the forest so not to disturb it.

In return, Tuk gave you simple companionship. You always thought it was fun being alone, but Tuk gave you a shining light of what having someone around could be like.

When Tuk would return from wherever you two had disappeared to, she would tell her family all about it, now causing Jake and Neytiri to worry that she was making up stories to make herself feel important like her siblings.

"Ma Jake, I'm beginning to worry about Tuk," Neytiri spoke one day when she watched her youngest venture off into the brush before she could stop her, "it is not safe out there but yet she continues to go, we must stop her," Jake could only hum in agreement.

"What's the name of the person she speaks of? (Y/n)? Are we sure she's not a person in the clan?" Jake questioned, Neytiri feeling her shoulders sag in exhaustion cause she had asked any gatherer, hunter or healer she could think of and no one knew about you.

"Maybe we should send Neteyam with her one day? Make sure she's really safe? See what he can find out?" Neytiri fired off question after question, Jake taking her hands into his as he calmed her down, "That's sounds like a great idea, if there's anyone who can find out it's him, come, let's find him,"

They both set off to find their eldest, who they were sure was going to throw a fit hearing about their plan.

~.~

Tuk panted, running up to a clearing where she saw you relaxing by a small pond, toes and feet floating in the clear water. "I'm here! What are we going to do today?" Tuk skipped over, taking a seat next to you as your turned your gaze to her, a smile coating your face.

"What would you like to do?" You asked, Tuks face scrunched up in thought before asking you, "Could we go for a swim next to the waterfall?" You thought about it, before nodding. It was very close to the village, but you were looking forward to spending time with Tuk.

"Awesome!" She cheered, pulling you up off the ground and began the walk, with you giggling behind her.

The water had been very liberating of any stress or thoughts that plagued you. You sighed in bliss, leaning back to float in the water as your eyes gazed up at the clouds, the soft white making you forget everything.

Tuk had jumped in, splashing you and causing a laugh to erupt from your stomach as you flipped over, watching the young girl giggle and continue to splash you with water.

You began a water assault back, both of you not even paying attention to how loud you were being which caught the attention of Neteyam nearby who had been searching for Tuk under the instructions of their parents.

"Tuk!" He called, walking into the rocky terrain that held the waterfall where he saw Tuk soaked and wading waist deep in the water, her breath heavy as though she ran for miles, yet a smile plastered her lips.

You were no where to be seen, ducking under the water to find a rock that had caught your eye.

"Tuk, it's time to come home, let's go," he helped her out of the water, not noticing you surface up to your shoulders in the shade of a tree that grew on the nearby bank.

Your hair had rested on your face a little and your shoulders, the shade making your eyes almost glow as you analyzed Neteyam. He was your age, currently training to be the next clan leader and yet here he was, fetching his sister.

Tuk through a glance over her shoulder to see you in the shade, throwing up a quick wave goodbye and taking off in front of her brother.

Neteyam had caught her look and couldn't help but turn back, catching a quick sight of you.

A beautiful, young woman who was lounging in the water covered by shade. Your eyes are what caught his attention the most, but just as quick as he'd seen you, the next second he blinked in shock before opening them to find you gone, the water only rippling from where he saw you, well, where he thought he saw you.

Neteyam was now becoming a quick believer of Tuk's stories.

~.~

Now that Neteyam had caught a glimpse of you, he started to see you everywhere. Although, it was out of the corner of his eyes, because when he would turn to see you, your figure was gone, the place he had seen you now empty or void of anyone or anything.

He had told his parents that he didn't see anyone with Tuk, but that was only because he feared how crazy he would sound. Seeing someone who wasn't entirely there and then them being gone the next second. They'd send him straight to the Sky People for evaluation.

Neteyam had followed Tuk out of the hut one late afternoon, Tuk turning to him confused since he has never followed her before, "What are you doing?" Neteyam just smiled, playing an act to follow his parents instructions, "Well, I've missed hanging out with my favorite littlest sister," he roughed up Tuks hair, causing her to hiss and push his hand away, "so I figured we could spend the rest of the day together,"

Tuk glanced sideways towards the path, a bit unsure about how you'd reac to Neteyam coming along, "I don't know, you probably wouldn't be up for it," Neteyam raised an eyebrow, his thoughts consumed on what a child would be doing that he himself couldn't or wouldn't wanna do, especially so late in the afternoon.

"Well, if you're sure," Tuk grinned, taking off down the path faster than Neteyam had expected, "Tuk! Wait for me!"

~.~

You had been lounging in a tree again, this time basking in the setting sun's glow. You felt so warm, the lights rays bringing a sense of belonging to your being.

"(Y/n)!" Tuk exclaimed, running into sight as you glanced down at her, your lips showing your usual soft smile that you saved for her.

"Neteyam is following me, come on let's hurry!" Tuk tried to rush you, but you only laughed, "Why are we hiding from your brother?" Tuk felt her cheeks puff up in annoyance, "Come on (Y/n)! I don't want him to find you!" It wasn't often Tuk would throw a childish fit with you, so you knew this must be important to her.

You quickly climbed down, taking her hand and pulling her out of sight just in time for Neteyam to come around the corner. He stopped and took a quick look around, running a hand through his braids aggravated. "Come on Tuk! Mom and Dad don't want you out here by yourself,"

Neteyam continued on through, running right past where you two hid in a flower bush before emerging a minute after he disappeared.

Tuk laughed but quickly stopped when she saw your disappointed face, "I'm sorry," she mumbled, kicking the dirt with her ears pinned down.

"Let's walk and talk," you took her by the shoulder softly, "Is there a reason you keep running away from your family? I understand you want to be friends, but surely I'm not worth worrying your family over?"

You led her down a path as Eclipse began to set in, the forest coming to life with lights and sounds. "Well, I thought you might want to be kept alone, like how you were before we became friends," Tuk answered, but you knew better, "but?" You pushed, Tuk groaning before replying.

"Well, Neteyam has his hunting parties and future clan leader responsibilities, Kiri has healing and grandma, Lo'ak and Spuder go on treks through the forest, I just wanted something that was mine for a while," while a bit childish, you could see what she meant. It was nice to have something all your own, even if it wasn't necessarily yours to keep or own.

Tuk kept her eyes trained on the ground in front of her, hands rubbing together embarrassed. Tuk thought that you would be upset with her, but she was shocked when she felt your hand rub soothing circles on her back as you continued to walk together.

"Do not feel bad, sometimes we wish for things that cannot always be, but if it makes you feel better, you will always be my first and best friend," Tuk felt giddy knowing that you felt the same as she did. You truly were a big sister to her.

"I think it's time we returned for the night," you told her, Tuk nodded, feeling a little tired. "Come," you picked her up, her arms wrapped around your neck and head rested on her shoulder.

You smelled of flowers and mist, a calming scent that soon had Tuk drift off to sleep. Which means she couldn't return to her parents on her own, meaning you had to face the leaders of the clan.

Entering the village, you took notice that many had already gone to dinner, leaving a clear path straight to the leaders tent, where you could hear inside Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan and Neytri, his mate and Tuks mother frantically asking Neteyam where Tuk was.

You held Tuk up with one arm, softly clearing your throat to make your presence known as you lift the drape, all three coming to a freeze as they saw you, a stranger, with Tuk fast asleep in your arms.

You dipped your head in greeting, eyes over looking the two males and straight to the female who quickly walked to you with fear and concern for her baby. "She is alright, just sleeping," you whispered, not wanting to wake up Tuk as Neytiri gently slipped her from you.

Neytiri nodded a head in thanks, though her eyes held confusion. Your eyes slipped over Jake Sullys form, a small gesture of hello from another head nod before you allowed your eyes to stay trained on Neteyams shocked yellow.

'She is real,' is all Neteyam could think as you both played a stare game, you breaking it off with a soft smile before disappearing. He found the sudden ability to move, dashing to the drape only to pull it back and find you gone, like a phantom.

"I think, that's (Y/n)" Jake mumbled, his mind wracking to find any sense of familiarity of you, but found none. Neytiri felt a small rumble from Tuk, glancing down at the small girl to find her awake and giggling softly, "Told you she was real,"

~.~

Neteyam couldn't get you out of his head, now actively looking for you, but you weren't anywhere to be found. Tuk had told him all about you, and this time he listened, but she wouldn't tell him where you go.

"(Y/n) doesn't like to be sought after, you can only find her when she wants you to find her," Tuk laughed like it was the most simplest thing in the world, but it just made Neteyam frustrated.

He knew so little about you but felt a strange need to be near you, hear your soft voice again and find out more. Call it a crush, infatuation or even obsession, he just wanted to see you again, even if for a last time.

It was only when he took a stroll through the brush on a warm afternoon, that he found you. Only you were laying patch off soft moss, eye shut as you looked at piece with the world.

The world itself seemed to be happening around you, each breath you took was like a breeze from Eywa herself. Insects and small animals passed you by, as if you were just one with them.

Neteyam had approached you slowly, footsteps light as he observed your face. It was beautiful in his eyes, your soft lashes caressing your cheeks, lips parted ever so slightly with each breath you took in. Your hair seemed to flow around you in the vast green foliage.

He was too lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice you open your eyes and look back at him. Your green eyes traced his features as well, taking in the rough yet handsome face he was gifted with. He truly was his mother's child.

When he saw your green eyes staring back at him, he fell back from his squat in shock. You softly hummed, a smile so small but just for him.

"What are you looking at?" He coughed, his face feeling warm from your stare.

You sat up slowly, his eyes glancing at how your body was bending, hair falling over your cheeks to frame your face.

Eywa help his sinful thoughts.

"Oh you know," you drawled, "The clouds,"

your mighty warrior❞ ( I. )

golden eyes

summary: you never thought you'd see your lover's golden eyes again. and when you did, he didn't recognize a single part of you. pairing: neteyam x omaticaya!reader wordcount: 2.8k contains: angst, major spoilers for atwow, mentions of character death, blood, memory loss, sad guilty lo'ak, lo’ak x reader is platonic! notes: the first part, here we go! if i get things with the timeline messed up just ignore it haha. my heart breaks for lo'ak in this, but i hope you all enjoy!

paskalin : term of endearment oeyä tìyawn : my love tanhí : small, bioluminescent freckles

The water is still in the night. Its chaos—violent waves that crash and collide—disappears once the darkness blankets over the sky. The surface of the water reflects the stars, small freckles of light in the face of the ocean. Although gentle tides push and pull, the vast sea is silent as it sleeps.

There is a beat to be heard; a pulse from under the water, under the ocean floor, from the very core of Pandora. A strong, mighty rhythm that shakes the ground. But this heartbeat does not come from the Great Mother.

In the quiet of the night, the reflection of the sky in the ocean is disrupted. Calloused fingers break through the barrier, reaching past the thin veil. He grasps the air like a rope. The crown of his head splits the sea in half. The moon pulls him to her; his body, strong and powerful, ascends.

──

It was his mother who pressed his eyes closed when they were void of life. The blank face of your lover glared into your soul. The grip he had on your hand--desperately clinging onto you like it would heal the hole in his heart--vanished, and you were left to imagine his fingers were still intertwined with yours.

You remember the wave of realization on his father's face, how his ears slightly dropped and his bottom lip quivered when he noticed that the bullet had gone straight through his eldest son's chest. Crimson collected in his shaking palms. You knew then that there was nothing to be done. Nothing except to sit next to Neteyam, your prince, as his soul moved onto the Great Mother.

His funeral was inevitable. After the war was over, it was time for the Suli's to say goodbye. You stayed with his brother, Lo'ak's hands placed in yours, as Neteyam slowly sank deeper towards the ocean floor. His frame became smaller and smaller, until he was completely engulfed by luminescent tendrils. Your lover was no more.

The family struggled to carry on without him. You remained close with his siblings, thankfully. Kiri mourned by your side. For a time, it had been just her and Neteyam. He was born less than a month before her and she considered him to be her twin. Tuk was young, but old enough to understand, “He is with Eywa”.

Lo'ak, however, was almost never to be seen. If you managed to catch a glimpse of him, he was silent and reclusive. He even ignored Tsireya, who asked you multiple times if he was alright; you never had an answer.

Despite your great loss, the village of Awa'atlu continued on. Every morning, the fishermen and farmers rose early, the healers prepared their supplies, and the hunters readied their ilus to dive through the sea.

Life continued on as if Neteyam's soul had never been ripped out of your blood-soaked hands, as if his eyes had never looked their last to you. It broke your heart.

──

Although Jake Suli had finally recognized his youngest son for his true potential, it was too late. Lo'ak put the blame for Neteyam's death on himself. He accepted that he would forever carry that weight with him, no matter where he ran to or hid.

You knew that when he was nowhere to be found, he was somewhere far off in the sea on Payakan's fin. He stayed out late and missed ceremonies and Suli family meetings; it was Neteyam who always pushed Lo'ak to participate. But even when he laid underneath the stars on the back of Payakan, the ocean water gently lapping at his skin, the guilt still sat in his chest like the bullet in Neteyam's heart.

Without his older brother, Lo'ak ceased to exist. He refused to meet his eyes or even speak to his mother. He made himself an outcast before his family could. You recognized that the void in Lo'ak's life was the same one tearing you apart, so you felt that it was your responsibility to look after him.

"We must be strong," Neteyam had told you the night you left your home in the forest. You said goodbye to your family to be with him. He'd placed his palm over your heart. "In here."

It was eerie how you could still feel his touch as if he were right in front of you. Neteyam would've wanted you to stay strong for Lo'ak, and you would do anything to honor your mighty warrior.

Unfortunately, looking after Lo'ak wasn't easy when you could never find him. Two days had passed and you hadn't seen him once. You knew not to worry--Kiri noticed your concern and said she'd seen him with his tulkun just outside of the reef. "He didn't seem like he wanted to come back."

By that night, you'd given up. After a great feast held for the birth of Tonowari and Ronal's child, you separated yourself from the others and sat alone on a far-off shore. The ocean life illuminated the darkness around you, small specks of teal and gold light scattered in the water. Your feet had sunk into the wet sand as the calm waves kissed your ankles.

While the ocean held many wonders that continued to fascinate you, it left a bitter image burned into your memory.

There was fire off in the distance, gunshots and explosions, but they were all the least of your concern. You shook as you held his body in your arms. The water had turned violent, as if the Great Mother knew of the war taking place. Sharp, chaotic waves crashed against a rocky landing. Crimson pooled in the grooves of the rock, running down the sides to where it diluted in the vast sea.

You never allowed yourself to remember anything past that. The ocean had not redeemed itself just yet. You pulled your knees to your chest so your feet were out of the water. The silence of the night would never be peaceful; if it was quiet enough, you could still hear his voice in your ear.

Fortunately, the silence broke. Soft footsteps in the sand were trailing towards you, and wide, golden eyes met your small frame. Lo'ak had not expected you so far away from the village, alone, at night. "(y/n)," he froze. "What're you doing here?"

"Lo'ak," you let out a breath of relief that you'd been holding for the past few days. You stood and brushed the sand off of your legs. "I've- We've been looking for you. Your mother and father have been so worried."

He frowned at the mention of his family--of his father. He refused to even imagine what they could possibly think of him. "I was just out," Lo'ak tried to dismiss the topic and swiftly walked past you, his shoulder barely brushing yours. "I'm fine."

The remnants of your heart cracked once again. Even when a hand reached out for him, grasping onto his fingertips, he'd pull away. The fear of rejection--the thought of placing his trust in someone with only betrayal in return--was too great. Lo'ak would abandon others before they could abandon him.

"Lo'ak, please." your hand gently grabbed his shoulder to turn him back to you. He stood a few inches over you and refused to look down to meet your eyes.

There was a soft spark in his chest, and you could see the flame beginning to grow. "What do you want, (y/n)?" He retorted with a sigh.

"You know what it is, Lo'ak." You brushed your hand down his arm to meet his palm. You placed his own hand on top of his heart. He sighed, breath laced with heavy regret and guilt. Lo'ak knew that whatever he'd been hiding for the past few months would be coming up right there in front of you.

He practically collapsed onto the sand, feet set in the water and arms wrapped around his legs, but he quickly pulled himself away from the shore, just like you had earlier, once the memories began to feel too real. You sat right by his side and looked off to the dark horizon. The two of you stared with broken hearts. "Have you gone to see him?"

There was silence, apart from the gentle lapping of the waves and the village in the distance. "No," he regretfully looked down at his lap. "Have you?"

You shook your head, "No." Your response wasn't much better.

For as much as the two of you missed him, neither of you had gone to the Spirit Tree like the rest of the Suli family. The only images of Neteyam that you had left were the memories still burned into your vision. “I’m afraid to forget him,” Lo’ak admitted. He bit the inside of his cheek. “But I’m too scared to see him again.”

You looked to him with sympathetic eyes. For the first time since his brother’s death, Lo’ak broke. Three tears left a trail down his face to where they dropped off his skin and onto the sand. “I don’t know much about spirits,” you began. You set a firm, reassuring hand on Lo’ak’s shoulder. “But Neteyam loved us with all his heart. Even as he rests with the Great Mother, he loves us.”

He tried to nod along to your words as if he would better believe them. Lo’ak gently gasped before a quiet, broken sob left his throat, “I know it’s my fault.” His shoulders heaved. “If I hadn’t made him go back for Spider or- or if I stayed behind instead of him..”

“Oh, Lo’ak,” you cooed, turning towards him and engulfing him in a hug. He leaned his forehead down onto your shoulder. This was the first comfort he’d felt in months. “We can’t tell ourselves those things.”

His tears collected on your skin. “My brother,” he whimpered, “is gone.”

Your fingers gently caressed the back of his head, tracing over his braids. You shushed him, “There’s nothing we can do.” How could you affirm this to Lo’ak when you couldn’t even accept it yourself? You pulled away so you could look him in the eyes.

“I miss him too much.” Lo’ak wept.

Holding his face between your gentle hands, you nodded. Together, your tears soaked the sand beneath you; the two of you could’ve created an entire ocean. “I miss him, too, paskalin.” Your thumb soothed cheek and wiped away the tears from his eyes. “But we must stay strong for him.

“All we can do is remember. One day, we’ll be strong enough to see him, I know it. But for now, we must be strong,” You put your hand over his heart. The beat of his soul turned steady; you remembered how Neteyam’s slowed to a stop, and for the first time since his death, you pushed the memory away without a single tear. “In here.”

Lo’ak closed his eyes and calmed his breath, allowing the feeling of your palm on his skin to soothe him. He’d opened himself and poured out his heart. Now, he could heal.

The night continued on, and you stayed with Lo’ak throughout the dark reign. He could take however long he needed. You would comfort him through whatever war he created in his mind. The tide came in, brushing water against your knees, but the two of you remained.

Finally, he opened his eyes. “We should return to the village.” Before, Lo’ak spoke bluntly with a dismissive mask to cover how broken he truly was. Now, his voice was firm and strong.

“Are you sure?” You warned. He stood and you cautiously rode with him.

His hands, which had been balled in tense fists, released themselves. Lo’ak nodded, “I’ve been too focused on my brother that I’ve forgotten the rest of my family. Do you think they’ll forgive me?”

With a sweet, proud smile, you offered, "They already have."

──

The path back to the village was peaceful given that you and Lo'ak had come to terms with your grief. He had warned you that his parents would most likely be angry when you returned since it'd been hours since they'd last seen you and days since they'd seen him. You'd consoled him, "We'll get through it together."

It was strange that in Neteyam's absence, you and Lo'ak were able to replace the void with each other. Although he was only a year younger, you'd always felt a sisterly love for him, the same way that you felt for Kiri or Tuk. Now that your connection with Lo'ak had healed, maybe you could too.

Life ahead was beginning to look a little brighter in that moment as you walked on the shore.

But your peace was short-lived.

The village was close enough that you could see the pods, docks, and several Metkayina men with glowing lanterns that noticed you and Lo'ak approaching. They called out and, together, the two of you rushed to them.

"What is wrong?" Lo'ak prodded, trying to look past their broad shoulders at the commotion that was collecting in the village.

You tried as well but they were too tall compared to you. "You must come with us," one of the men said. The flames in the lanterns gently flickered but you could well enough see Kiri running in the distance. Her eyes were wide with fear like she'd seen a ghost.

"Kiri!" You exclaimed.

She pushed past the men and, out of breath, embraced Lo'ak. "Brother!" There were tears falling from her eyes, only you had expected her to happily cry at the sight of Lo'ak. Instead, she wept. "You must come. Come, (y/n)."

Kiri led you both back to the village, the men following after you to provide light. Almost every person in Awa'atlu--man, woman, young, and old--crowded near the shore. They yelled and gasped, cursing and praying. The three of you struggled to push past everyone, accidentally stepping on tails and toes and bumping elbows and shoulders.

Everyone seemed to look at you and Lo'ak with sympathy. Lo'ak sensed it as well, and looked just as confused as you were.

The crowd was like a hurricane, and in the center, the eye was calm. Jake and Neytiri kneeled on the ground, Tuk crying into her father's arm. Tonowari, Ao'nung, and a collection of soldiers held the people back. Ronal sat across from Neytiri, muttering a prayer with her eyes shut. Kiri ran to her mother's side. Tsireya rushed to Lo'ak as he collapsed.

Your heart stopped.

On the ground, where the ocean met the sand, a figure laid. He had strong legs and arms, a strapping abdomen, and calloused palms and fingers. There was a scar on the outside of his right thigh. Tanhì scattered across his body like the constellations reflected on the ocean.

Your prince. His ghost would forever haunt you. What had you done wrong? What had you done for the Great Mother to curse you like this? Just as you could feel your wounds beginning to heal, your heart crumbled again.

You fell to your knees, placing your hand over your mouth to cover the ear-splitting wail you released. You could fully see your Neteyam now. Just as you had remembered it, but his eyes were gently shut. Neytiri cried alongside you, and your heart almost broke even further until you heard her whisper, "Thank you, Great Mother. Thank you."

What was she grateful for? Jake noticed your confusion, and with a hopeful smile, he took your hand and placed it on Neteyam's heart. Underneath the weight of your palm, you felt a gentle pulse. A steady, soft rhythm that rocked your core. Your tears stopped, a cry stuck in your throat.

You looked down to his body and gasped. "Oeyä tìyawn," you whispered out to him, hoping he would hear it. Through just two words, your voice called out to him.

Golden eyes, that you thought you would never see again, opened.

His father gasped; his mother laughed; his sisters cheered, and his brother bowed with his forehead touching the ground. Neteyam's mighty heartbeat reached across Pandora.

"Ma 'Teyam," you smiled. You could taste your own tears as they reached the corners of your mouth. For the first time in months, you weren't crying from a split in your heart--you cried at the feeling of it healing. You were foolish to think the Great Mother would curse you. "Thank you, Great Mother."

Only two minutes had passed until you noticed the laughter and cheers of others had disappeared. The night had become silent again. Your smile fell when you recognized that Neteyam had not yet embraced you. In fact, he stayed frozen on the ground.

His eyes were still open, but they were wide and full of fear. Tuk reached for his hand, and he quickly pulled away with a scared gasp. He flinched when his own mother caressed his cheek. "Neteyam," she pleaded. Finally, his eyes met yours. You looked to him with desperate affection, practically shooting beams of love towards him. Your stomach dropped when you noticed it.

Your prince did not know who you were.

“i trusted you.”neteyam sully (★)

the na’vi females are gathered to spend time together and talk teas while their significant others and soon to be mate left for a war party. you on the other hand being one of them, or so you thought as you all laugh and bring the old moments or funny moments you all had

“…and that’s how i met tar’key” one of the female navi blushes as she tells her story of how she met her mate years ago.

“that’s so heartwarming, oh mother eywa!” the other females giggle and awe. you’re silently sat as you try to ignore some of the noisy na’vi’s whispering until they mention the soon to be olo'eyktan and your ears perk up

“have you heard about the first born of the sully family being set up for a mate?”

you’re somehow confused and excited when they mention about mating because you knew it was going to be you. neteyam was going to be mated with you.

“yes! and i’ve heard she’s so pretty as to very similar to her mother’s beauty.” the other whisper

her mother? you never had a mother growing up…

“she’s so lucky, honestly imagine being the future mate of the future olo’eyktan? so dreamy.” the girls sigh imagining it and let a soft giggle out. you’ve frowned as you try to thinking deeply and try to make sense in what just the na’vi girls said

the female clan keeps murmuring and talking as they make friends with huge circle and a wooden fire in the middle of the circle, while you’re trying to put pieces together.

what do they mean “beauty of her mother.” when you didn’t even have one? neteyam and you were soon to be mated, yes you knew that and he told you he only wants you in his future but what the girls talked about was another completely different person

you wanted to run to neteyam and ask what you’ve just heard but he wasn’t near by, he has already left to the war party right after he made love to you as a good bye the whole night, you were crying mess being of how you loved this man as he cradled you to his body and held you tight.

you’re confused and somehow trying everything but decide to eavesdrop to what the two females are talking. “i haven’t seen her here, did she not want to join us?” the one asks before the other scoffs,

“of course she won’t, after all she’s the future leader of the omatikaya clan.” the other states, now you’re feeling way too desperate to know about her but it’s breaking your heart to figure out it’s not you

and this means? neteyam lied to you.

“never mind, let’s just get back to what we were list– oh mother eywa! she’s here! she’s here!”

your heart starts to beat faster as your eyes look around to know which one is the so called future leader of the clan. “which one? i see two girls standing!?” the females arch their neck to see more and the other pointing out makes you know who exactly they’re talking about

your heart doesn’t just entirely break one piece following the other, everything around you was blurry. you needed to leave right now.

“excuse me,” you stood up as you made your way out. the na’vi’s asked if you’re okay but you just shrugged them and told them you’re feeling sick.

once you stumbled your way out and walked far enough from the na’vi’s, you finally find yourself on the trees of sounds. where your lover and you exactly made love. of course you two were gonna be mated and doing the deed didn’t bother you at that time but right now?

right now you’re feeling the burning of your skin where neteyam exactly placed kisses and his skin touched you. your whole body felt dirty right the moment you figured out you’ve been… played.

now everything started to make sense, why neteyam always feared of you both getting caught, why he didn’t want you to meet with his family, why he never… a soft sob leaves your lips as your eyes close.

of course that na’vi was better than competed to you.

beauty? her. body? her. has a family? her. everything? her. your jaw clenched as you feel so foolish for blindly trusting a man… a fucking man.

the pain you’re feel doesn’t compare to when you felt right after your mother abandoned you. this was making you struggle with breathing, your lung tightening with every try you’re making to let air in.

what did you do wrong to deserve all of this?

you’ve really been fooled, you knew everything was too good to be true. you’re now realizing how stupid you were to think the future olo'eyktan mating with some abandoned and adopted daughter who only served as a professional arrow shooter.

eyaw, it hurts.” you cry, tears freely rolling down your skin. you cry to your mother nature your heart out as everything of this place reminds you of him.

you want to hate him but no, it only keeps hurting to even think about hating him. neteyam was everything to you as you’re nothing to him, you were ready to throw everything from him but he only used you and backstabbed you

meanwhile you’re crying your heart out to eywa, the clan has returned from the war party with few people hurt and non dead. neteyam was happy and eager to tell you the war went so perfect like it was planned. no death and few people hurt but his eyes keep wandering trying to find you

a tint of disappointment settles in him when he realized you weren’t there, but you promised you would watch him from far so the na’vi won’t be suspicious about you two. at least until he makes it official, and today is the day he will make it official to his parents you’re the one he wants

oh how he was so late for this.

neteyam figures out you weren’t anywhere here so he just shrugs his parents and tells them he needs air for a while. obvious that they’re proud of him today, jake didn’t bother and already shrugged his son off

neteyam tries to hide his excitement when people greet him as he made his way to your hammock.

eyeing the na’vi’s and once he checked no one is watching, he slipped in but was greeted with no warmth or scent of your body. “princess?” he calls for you but nothing talks to him back

frowning, neteyam leaves you hammock and climb down to think where you could possibly be. it doesn’t take him long to figure out where you are and jogs to the destination he thinks you’re found.

and just like he thought your body comes to his sight as you’re stood in front of the tree of sounds, your back facing him.

neteyam chuckles as he walks to you before wrapping his arm on your body and pressing himself to your warmth.

you in other hand feel your body tense with his skin touching yours. “i’ve missed you” he groans to your hair as he place kissed on the back of your head then to your neck. you don’t even try to say it back or turn around to hug him.

neteyam does fail to notice your odd behavior and step back a little giving you space to turn around to him but you’re just frozen. “princess?” he calls for you but you just try your best to compose yourself from falling apart

the man in front of you feels his inside worry before he’s forcing you to turn around and face him.

but what he was met with was what he never expected. you eyes are swollen and puffy like you’ve been crying for hours, “who did this to you?” was the first full sentence neteyam utters and you ironically scoff at his words

it was him, he was the one who did this to you.

he tries to cup your cheeks to his large palm but you step back as if his touch disgusts you. and in fact, it does disgust you right now. you know you’ll run back to him if he touches you and you’re not allowing that

“baby?” his breath hitches when you avoid his touch and his brain instantly start to figure out you’ve already found out but neteyam chooses to ignore it until you say it yourself

he tries again by stepping close to you but you were fast to speak. “is it true neteyam.” it wasn’t a question and the way you called his name darkly makes his heart hurt and tell him you’ve definitely had found out.

but he chooses to play dump.

“what is true, princess?” those pet names makes your stomach irrupt in nausea and you shake your head. “don’t call me that, i’m not your princess, never have been your princess.” the way you say it calmly scares him

sure thing neteyam fell for your calmness and mature self but right now he wishes you could just punch him or yell at him.

you’re trying to stay calm before slowly opening your mouth to speak. “you have a…” you can’t even finish the sentence feeling your throat close in pain. he again tries to play dumb but this time you hiss at him silently.

talk about happiness? it can vanish in a heartbeat.

the atmosphere as changed to a heavy one as neteyam watches your broken self in front of him.

“yes.” those three letters were enough to entirely ruin you. you stumble on your own feet feeling dizzy, neteyam tries to hold you from falling only for you to slap his hands away.

“look at first it was just a rumor but then my parents and her parents set us up, set me up.” neteyam starts to try explaining but it only hurts you more. neteyam watches your tears fall and his heart bleeds out, he really wanted to tell you

“i never loved her, i never want to be with her, i never want äeya.” neteyam steps closer, “i want you and you only” you’ve heard the name before, so many times actually that you grew up wanting to be äeya so bad.

the daughter of the tshaik that’s the perfect daughter from the clan and it didn’t surprise she had to be mated with him. what hurt you was him lying and leading you to his great fucked up game.

“i fall in love with you princess, i love you so much it always hurts.” you’re painfully silent and it eats him alive as he desperately seeks for something in you. “i trusted you..” you back away, his touch bringing nothing but pain

if someone from yesterday came to you and told you that this would happen, you would’ve shot your arrow at them but again look at you desperate for things your lover was saying were to be lie.

“with you— princess please.” neteyam doesn’t know why he’s pleading but he knows he wants to wipe those tears and take your pain away. “don’t touch me.” you warn when his fingertips held your small hands

DON’T TOUCH ME!!

neteyam froze at his spot, his tail locked between his legs. this was the first time you yelled at him, the first him he heard your true pain through your voice. “i hate you! i hate you! i. hate. you.” neteyam’s ears flatten at your words that were like daggers to his heart.

“don’t say that, please don’t say that baby, please.” he was begging you now. neteyam always chose death than being despised by you.

“you knew the whole time, neteyam” you’re saying it so clam and softly it’s making him feel like he deserves death and every painful torture to be done to him. “i told you i have no one and you were the only person i trusted with my everything and you were the only one i have.” you’re now crying

“how could you do this to me?”

how could he do this to you?

neteyam licks his lips and sniffles, he nods agreeing with you. “i was gonna make it official, today i was going to tell them you’re mine and i’m yours” your eyes widen but you quickly shake them off, you shake your head disagreeing with him

“i’m not yours.” the way you said it was not with in an anger but pure honesty, hatred and disgust. neteyam’s breath hitches again and his eyes start to whelm. “i was never yours.”

you were his, you promised yourself to him last night as he did, you were his first time and first person in everything. you were his future and his own actions took his future away from him.

neteyam could only watch your broken self in yourself and did nothing, the little abandoned girl you’ve hidden coming out and telling him everything last night before making love completely gone. he was met with your side he never thought he would see

“i’ll never be yours.” you knew your words hurt him and you definitely wanted them to just like he’s hurting you

neteyam suddenly kneels in front of you and pulls you by your hips, wrapping his arm on your waist and pressing his face to your stomach to hide himself from reality. “i never wanted you to find out this way, please let me make it right. let me make everything right, please princess.”

he doesn’t care you warned him not to call you that, no matter how hard you try not to be? you’ll always be his princess. you’re just frozen there with the man you trusted giving your soul to just take everything from you wrapped around you.

“let go of me.” you tell him and silently pray he does or you’ll kneel and hug him back.

neteyam’s body shake as he is now violently crying himself in front of you and you’ve never seen him like this. “neteyam, please let me go.” you try but no answer, only whimpers and sobs from the man knelt and face pressed to your tummy are heard

you purse your lips and place your hands on his hands to pry them from you. “please don’t do this” neteyam was the one begging. “we both are promised to one another last nig–“ you cut him off.

“there was nothing last night, last night was nothing but a mistake i did.” your words not only emotionally but mentally affect neteyam. once you start to leave with no words, neteyam panics and get on his feet quick

“you’re not leaving me…” he didn’t know the damage he caused until he realize he’s losing you. you ignore him and walk away but neteyam was fast to hold you by your hands making you turn and slap him across the face

you hate yourself for doing that but you hate him most for making you do that. “i said don’t touch me.” you say coldly, you’re now the woman he never knew. “and if you dare to try to come close to me again, neteyam,” your soft voice he knew wasn’t there, “i will kill you.”

you’re not just threatening a normal na’vi but the actual future olo'eyktan and you don’t feel a slightest fear when you do. “and trust me when i say that.” your words were familiar just like the first time he met you.

cold and unbothered of anything.

neteyam doesn’t say anything when you turn and leave but once you’re slightly far, your face turns ugly mess as you cry.

neteyam’s ears are still flattened as his tail is locked between his legs. right the moment you were out of sight, neteyam felt his world darken and went grey and gloomy. nothing would be the same with out you every again.

it was his fault this happened, he abandoned you just like your mom and everyone else. you hate him now and nothing’s gonna be the same. “i’m sorry, i’m so sorry” he whispers as he’s standing right where you left him. right where you promised yourself to him last night. right where you gave yourself to him.

right where you trusted him.

i might make this a miniseries? i don’t know lmk in the comments though i’ll depend on my creativity and flow of plot,, i love each and everyone of you!! like + reblog are appreciated and not pressured

A Part of The Family

Pairing: Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan x Fem! Omaticaya! Reader

Requested?: Yes | No

Summary: You were long orphaned and having met Neteyam since you were a child, you had been quickly bought into his family, where you also grew up to love him. As of recently, you had become jealous of the way his family seemed so happy, it made you miss your own. Now you come up with excuses to try and avoid them until Neteyam finds out why.

WC: 1.8k

Warning/s: angst, hurt/comfort, mentions of death, neteyam trying to cheer you up

Note: I hope you enjoy, likes, reblogs, and feedbacks are most welcome and appreciated! Let me know your thoughts!

Have you thought of yourself as insensitive because you were jealous of Neteyam’s family?

Yes. However, you didn’t say it out loud.

The Sully’s had been nothing but caring for you, treating you as their own when Neteyam found you all by yourself in the woods in what you had estimated a decade ago.

You were orphaned as your father was killed in a mission, soon, your mother had fallen ill, making you work hard all that you can to save her, yet she had succumbed to her illness.

Neteyam had found you crying in the woods that decade ago. He quickly offered his aid and soon enough the two of you were inseparable.

And that friendship soon bloomed into a relationship once Neteyam had grabbed the courage to finally confessed to you on how he felt. He had then introduced you to his family, immediately liking you and soon enough you found yourself living with them, with your love, Neteyam, and his family. Neytiri and Jake had been understanding once you had opened up to them one night regarding your life.

They had promised that you will never be left out, not in this family. Like you had earned the privilege to say “Sully’s stick together”, considering Neteyam and you were about to become mates a few years from now, when you are both ready. They had already considered you as a Sully.

But going back to the topic at hand, it was still nothing compared to your real family.

And oh, how much you missed them.

comments: cannot believe we are done w/ the series! this is so sweet, my pookie <3 (reader) is so happy so fucking deserved like my bae went through hell and back LMAOOO thank you so so much for the support y’all have given the folklore series, it really does mean the world to me. i will be posting few a drabbles for the story, just some things i wanted added  but was never able to make fit correctly (i have 3 little idea so far, so folklore isn’t really over haha) okok bye mwahhh ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚

It took so much time to get the children to trust you and Jake again, not that you blamed them. You did keep such a big part of your life locked away, and it was hard to believe that you had really mated. It was more so hard for them to trust Jake again, because despite your persistence in trying to ease the tension they couldn’t believe it. They couldn’t believe their father was capable of doing that.

Karma is my Girlfriend

(Lo'ak x f!Reader)

Aonung and his group keeps on pestering you and the Sully's, what does Aonung possibly deserve?

Ever since you and Jake Sully's family moved to the Metkayina clan, Aonung and his peers have not done anything but bicker with the Sully children, specifically Kiri and Lo'ak for their differences that stood out from the family - hair above their large eyes that were phrased "eyebrows", followed by an additional toe and finger.

You weren't lying if you said you didn't find the uniqueness of the two Na'vi admirable, especially the boy you had grown to fall for. His reckless and carefree behaviour made you feel free every time you hung out with the handsome Sully boy you were crushing on, his hollowed cheeks more prominent when he talks, the smile that could beat a thousand fireflies in the dark, eyes that could be your source of light in a faint cave, the personality you seek for comfort and happiness.

He often let out teasingly romantic remarks such as "If we were ever mates, our children would look good," then simply taking it back with a "because their daddy is obviously smokin' hot, their mommy though, she's ehh." to obviously tease you in a flirtatious yet degrading manner.

You have been a close friend to every member of the Sully family, they loved and accepted you as an important figure to their family. The Sully couple took you under their wing when your parents have finally been at rest during battle, protecting the Sully family with their bodies, meeting Eywa's peace in the process.

The least they could do was protect you the way your parents protected the Sully's. You had sworn to follow your parents' actions to look out for the Sully family as well, which leads to this very moment.

You and Kiri have been having a chat while being on the shore, peacefully observing the small-scaled animals that were hidden under the layers of water and sand until Aonung and his flock of unfortunate-looking friends smugly arrived at the controlled scenery.

Aonung came closer to the two bodies laying on their bellies, just observing the sand looking at each other once the mini-sized animal was doing something eventful.

Aonung releases a cackle from his stomach, his lips quickly moving, "The hell are they doing?! Haha! Are you two some kind of.. freaks?" the faint sound that was faded due to the water made the two girls look up, curious on who was speaking.

"Huh? What did you say?" Kiri questioned as she cleaned up the water from her now puzzled face while [Y/N] just had a salty look on her face, already anticipating the teasing that will happen.

"He asked if you guys are freaks!" an earache replied to Kiri's question. [Y/N] and Kiri just scoff as they quickly trudge away from the emitting argument.

"Leave us alone!" You yelled at the group of Na'vi boys tormenting and touching at your body parts that were different from theirs. Trying to gently push Kiri away from the chaos happening so she could leave the scene sooner, not getting into a bigger problem until..

"HEY!" You hissed and swatted Aonung's hand that pulled your tail too hard, he chuckled halfway before a sudden stinging feeling has been planted on his cheek, the contact of your palm and his face releasing a loud "whack!" sound. That would definitely be a dark blue until tomorrow.

The shock on his face was brightly displayed before maneuvering his body that stumbled backwards due to the slap forward to you.

"Bitc-" He started, straightening his body and towering over you trying to put on a cover of being intimidating.

"Back off fish lips!" A booming voice was heard throughout the shore, the familiar Na'vi emerging from a place.

"Ohh! Another four-fingered freak!" Aonung's smirk once again finding a place on his horrid face.

Such names were voiced out once again. "Look at his little baby tail!" "Baby tail!" "Look at his tail!" "Awe, baby tail!" "It's so cute!"

"Leave us alone!" Kiri's voice was heard once again, trying to get the Metkayina boys to stop harassing the Omaticayan kids.

Then, the eldest Sully child had stopped from the waters that [Y/N] and Kiri were once in, shoving Aonung a way in a dominant manner.

"You heard what she said. Leave them alone." Neteyam said poking his pointer finger on Aonung's chest as a way of trying to tell him to flee.

"Ohh, big brother coming-" Aonung raised an arm at his peer, signalling him to keep quiet, Aonung could only look at Neteyam in amusement while he was practically threatening him.

"Back. Off. Now." Neteyam ordered, this time, poking harder at Aonung's chest. Aonung raised his arms in the air as a way of showing him surrendering. "Smart choice.. And from now on - I need you to respect my sister." He looks back at Aonung's group to make sure they're listening, one of Aonung's friends hissing back as a response.

Aonung raises his arm in front of his friend, trying to get him to stop. "Let's go." Neteyam said, ushering us to go with him and flee the problem that has hopefully finished escalating, Aonung and his friends going back to making fun of the Omaticayans that were now leaving the finished argument - though, a finished argument was what you wish actually happened until Lo'ak walked towards Aonung once again.

"Lo'ak come back!" You said, trying to keep the argument from escalating another time, you followed Lo'ak, standing beside him in case of anything worse erupting again. "I got this [Y/N]."

He raised his hand up to show Aonung, a clear view of his extra finger. "I know this hand is funny, look, I'm a freak, alien," the Metkayinan boys only chuckled, knowing they agreed to the boy's statement about himself "but it can do something really cool, watch," he started to use his other hand to guide the one he was just demonstrating "first up on the top, I'm gonna hold it real tight like this," he continued with his hand in the form of a fist "okay, then,"

A tight fist flew to Aonung's face with speed and power, punching him once making him stumble back, he lands another two more which makes him fully fall down on the grainy sand beside the salty waters beside him.

"It's called a lunch bitch, don't ever touch a Sully woman again." Lo'ak warned before getting into a fighting stance, unfortunately he was tackled down immediately a moment after.

"Shit.." You mutter as you glanced at Neteyam, who was visibly just as stunned as you are. You let out a sigh as you quickly rushed to the madness that was unfolding before you.

You speedily kicked the back of the knee of a guy that was pulling on Lo'ak's tail and made him land face first, pinning his hands behind his back as you grabbed a handful of his hair and repeatedly bobbed his head up and down into the sand, making sure he consumed and had his eyes engulfed in them.

You stood up once again pulling the other guy that was tugging on Lo'ak's tail by his queue and tightened your grip, considering his nervous system was in there. "RAH! THAT HURTS!" he yells out an ear bleeding yell, while you drag him away from Lo'ak so he could get a chance to fortunately stand up, you quickly shoved the boy you were dragging and straddled him, elbowing his face repeatedly in a pattern that left his eye a dark color with puffiness indulged, a nose that was bleeding like a murder scene and a burst lip that had probably popped from the pressure you gave.

Seeing Lo'ak in the corner of your eye, he was winning against Aonung, the sight of the two Sully brothers rocking the shit of two Metkayina boys into the next decade was a sight to laugh at - until, Aonung got back up again.

You wasted no time to get to your crush's side to pack a kick at Aonung's side, leading him to face the ground that he just stood up from, immediately on the floor again. Lo'ak chuckles at the sight of Aonung miserably failing to get up due to your repeated kicks on his back followed by another kick, this time from Lo'ak, the kick landing onto his gut.

The pattern of you and Lo'ak giving a hit at Aonung's body was going well until -

"STOP!"

Oh shit. That deep, booming, and awfully recognizable voice of the former Toruk Makto fills the area.

"What the hell were the three of you thinkin'?! That's the Olo'eyktan's son you were quarrelling with!"

Though, Lo'ak made the scolding less vulnerable with his oh so familiar touch that never failed to keep your mind basically gravitate down your heart. You and Lo'ak had always been hip to hip, or rather, skin to skin due to the close proximity you guys have always been having since you were children.

When you were younger, they were just simple taps, and nudges - growing older though, the touches became more frequent and electric, becoming hands holding and tight hugging. Anyone can see through the two of you like you were closets made of glass.

The feeling of your hands tangled with his four fingers was always an exciting feeling, his extra finger was there to keep your smaller hands warm.

When the lecture was over, the two of you were forced to apologize to Aonung and his friends.

Walking hand in hand out of the marui, you can't help but laugh at the conversation you two were remembering, getting reminded of the look on their faces.

"You should've seen his face when I slapped him, Lo'ak! Holy shit!" You giggled with your crush

"You should've seen it up close when he was getting punched! He looked so mad he seemed constipated!"

The two Na'vi laughed until a comfortable silence filled in the conversation you just had.

"Lo'ak?"

"Hm?"

"Sully woman?"

He felt his breath hitch in his chest, shocked by the slip up he was reminded by, the heat rising to his cheeks making it a deeper purple than it already was.

"I- Uh- You know, you're a Sully woman, we're best friends, yeah- I w-want to like, make you- uh-" his lips were forming into an "O" shape when you placed a honey-like kiss on his cheek.

You were giggling to practically yourself, the feeling in your stomach was like the feeling of watching the rising sunrise, like a seed that was once planted is now blossoming.

"Are you trying to ask me to be yours, Sully?"

"Hell yeah!" he yells, laughing between the sentence, he pulls your body onto his, "My Sully woman?"

"Definitely your Sully woman now."

As said, your both tight embraces of each other has led you two to a bittersweet kiss, plump and slightly chapped lips made contact, the kiss being more eventful than the beautiful sunset behind the figures.

You're still the most beautiful out of every sunsets and sunrises we see experience here. He thought.

BONUS

Aonung watched the sight from afar, clearly interested in the two's relationship.

"Damn, karma really hits you bad huh Aonung?" one of his friends stated, also looking at the young couple beneath the scenery.

"Shut up, it's not karma. How would it be karma?'

"Oh so you just don't consider it being karma when we got our asses clocked into another decade? THEN, you see your enemy smooching with the girl you find beautiful? That's karma, bro. She's like, the karma."

MY GOD I JUST PUSHED THIS OUT OF MY ASS BECAUSE THE LAST TIME I TRIED TO SAVE THIS I ACCIDENTALLY PRESSED DISCARD INSTEAD OF SAVE SO I HAD TO START ALL OVER AGAIN, I WAS FUCKING CRYING

Anonymous Request: Could you write a fic with Neteyam x Metkayina fem reader, where the reader is somewhat lonely and quite reserved, and her only friend is Tsireya. When the Sullys are first learning to ride the illus, the reader sees them from afar and approaches them to teach them to breathe correctly to swim and ride, and Neteyam begins to feel a great curiosity about the reader and from there he always has excuses to approach her or ask for help in something that he can already do perfectly. Lo’ak, Tuk, Kiri and Tsireya begin to suspect that Neteyam and the reader have something and tease them?

What would normally take three days’ travel had taken five. Your legs ached as you had been flying for several hours, keeping Tuk tucked into you as sleep began to settle into her again. Your food supply was low, same with your drinkable water and you weren’t sure how much more any of you would last. “Jake-we are tired. Let us rest please.”

what about neteyam bringing home someone (romantic) and fali and y/n just teasing the shit out of them in front of the family😭😭

summary: [y/n] knows neteyam’s big secret.

a/n: okay i’m actually crying this is so short but so sweet. like not only does it embody fali and [y/n]’s dynamic , but it’s a strong example of how much [y/n] loves her baby siblings. she would do anything for them , despite how much she teases them. i hope you all enjoy reading as much as i enjoyed writing !! reblogs + feedback are always appreciated !!

warnings: literally nothing, sm fluff, the cutest thing i have possibly ever written, healthy sibling relationships

words: 895 ( sorry y’all , it’s much shorter than i meant , but i didn’t wanna ruin it by adding too much !! )

baby brother’s got a girl

not once in her life could [y/n] have imagined any of her baby brothers bagging a girl.

sure, they had their father’s genes, but they also had their father’s stupidity, a trait that was communicated through their inability to woo any girl their age. trust me when i say that [y/n] has witnessed a multitude of failed attempts, especially back when they still lived in high camp.
