So I’m really upset right now.
A guy by the name of The Brightest Melancholy
(Skype name: shub.yoggoth)
Commissioned me on sunday and above are the screenshots of our conversation. I have never had anyone be this refund happy. In fact I haven’t had to issue any refund for any of my commissions. But I guess this is a first.
Despite approving the sketch about the numerous slight fixes to the commission he wanted a refund. He didn’t even think to ask if I could touch up or fix anything afterward. Went straight to wanting a refund.
Now, i immediately thought this guy was trying to scam me. I have no problems fixing things for a commissioner and i’m sure those who have commissioned me before will vouch for me on that.
I offer to fix what he wants and he tells me that he already sent what he wanted fixed.However he deleted it before I could see it. I thought that was pretty phishy and made it clear to him that whatever he sent, he deleted moments afterward, as I was busy actually working on his commission and could see it in time.
He resends it and I fix his edit to my sketch as precisely as humanly possible. He still wants a refund. Right here is when I called scam to myself. I knew he was trying to get the art and get the money back. The screenshots pretty much prove it.
- He immediately requested a refund without hesitation.
- He deleted his fix before I could see it.
- Despite these things being the only things left to fix he still makes an excuse to get the refund, despite not mentioning anything more to me during the process and saying he did.
- He refuses to have me fix anything else. Possibly because he has the completed art and just doesn’t want to pay.
- He THREATENS my livelyhood as an artist if I don’t refund, reporting that I refuse to refund is one thing, but reporting that it’s for adult material is scummy and really could ruin me.
Now, before you ask, I have refunded him at this point.
I’d love to say to not let people like this bully you into free art like this but there is not a single thing I can do about it.
If anyone like this wants to pay an invoice for your art, approve of everything until the very end and not let you fix it, then threaten to ruin your livelyhood as an artist. The truth is, they can and i’d rather not risk some scumbag ruining my life right now.
As for the scammer, please do not add him on skype to harass him or anything. I don’t want that. I just want any other artists to beware of this person. Stuff like this could happen to anyone who does commissions and it’s really, really unfortunate.

tell me your liquid+mantis ideas because im sure they are Tastey
*chews on hand* I’m not gonna lie a lot of my liquidmantis ideas are kinda soft and sad but here’s some stuff mostly off the top of my head
- liquid cradles mantis’ head in his lap and pets his forehead before spewing something totally casual like “hm, won’t you step on my face tonight?” and mantis comes back with “why do you think I wore these boots, boss.”
- in fact liquid is pretty shameless in general when it comes to asking for stuff. and not just because of the mind ties - it’s just the way he is.
- brain fucks. they lie on top of each other (or sometimes just stand there), push their foreheads together and sync up their breathing until everything is warm and hazy. heavy, consistent, pulsing waves of buzzing and tingles until liquid creams his pants for real and mantis giggles. sometimes they hold hands during.
- mantis likes to pretend that he doesn’t enjoy being called pretty, but he always subconsciously pushes liquid for more compliments once he gets going. he likes the nauseating feeling he gets from being embarrassed. one time he had liquid call him pet names and tell him he was gorgeous until mantis got sick and threw up. (liquid was like “okay this is new, but cool.”)
- if liquid is good he gets an hour or two of the Big Boss Fantasy and it’s always a surprise. by time liquid realizes what’s happening it’s too late and he’s lost, humping the air (probably crying) while mantis sits in the corner or up near the headboard - cackling through his concentration (it takes a lot to emulate bb dick (or at least liquid’s idealization of one)).
- as much as liquid loves the fantasies, pure nerve orgasms and being psychically pounded into the mattress - he’d always much rather touch mantis for real. even if it’s just really soft.
- liquid has perfected A++ kissing technique, so mantis only need remove his mask for the shortest time possible to get the ultimate smooch. liquid leans up and gives him the full hands-on face treatment - sucks the remains of mantis’ depraved soul out from his throat and immediately steps away so the mask can go back on. mantis always gives a muffled “aw, jeez boss…” afterwards and flutters his eyelids (he likes it).
- liquid helps mantis with his makeup on rough days when mantis doesn’t want to look in the mirror.
- mantis refuses to suck dick, there’s no way he’s puttin’ that thing in his mouth. but sometimes he’ll indulge liquid by nestling between his thighs anyway. liquid’ll mess up his hair (when he had hair) and kinda hum to him. it’s weird.
- mantis loves the feeling of being crushed, but he’s not exactly up for being sat on or aggressively snuggled. solution? (well besides the tight clothing) he sets up a mind link and transfers it almost completely over to liquid - this takes time mind you, so they usually have to plan ahead. once liquid has control of the link mantis can just lie there and let himself be choked and squeezed from the inside out. this requires a hell of a lot of concentration from liquid though, so he usually starts panting and gettin’ kinda sweaty. he makes sure to ask mantis if he’s doing a good job (he likes validation). mantis is just like “tighter pls, have u learned nothing.”
- liquid loved mantis’ hair and he misses it.
- he also misses pre-serial killer mind consumption mantis (but he’d never say it aloud).
- that being said sometimes mantis will have moments of “clarity” and kinda relapse to a numb, vulnerable slate of ill emotions. he never seeks liquid out during these times (he feels bad) but liquid can always feel when it’s happening. even if mantis tries to block it from him. liquid acts like he doesn’t notice, but sometimes he’ll bring up an old inside joke or reference to a childhood memory and sense mantis brighten up a little.
- mantis knew that liquid was going to die and he was terrified because he had no idea that he was gonna die too. in the end he felt Massive Relief that he was off to hell before liquid and didn’t have to suffer the pain of the psychic link being permanently cut.
- liquid on the other hand…
