David's son Danny has a secret and he's afraid to tell his dad.
David Lloyd, standing at 5'11" and weighing 198 lbs, has brown hair and a short beard that frames his hazel eyes. His son, Daniel—affectionately known as Danny—stands at 5'5" weighs 120 lbs. Danny sports blonde hair, which he always ties back in a ponytail, and has striking blue eyes that resemble his mother's. Since David's wife left when Danny was young, the two have forged an unbreakable bond. Although David has occasionally dated, his primary focus has always been on being a dedicated father. Their relationship is built on love and friendship, making them not just father and son, but best friends, who enjoy spending time together watching football and playing video games ect. When Danny isn't with his dad, he is usually with Isabela García (Izzy) his best friend and neighbor since preschool. Standing at 5'4" and weighing 110 lbs, she has short, wavy brown hair and warm brown eyes. Petite and lively, she has an extroverted personality that shines through her playful and mischievous nature. Known for her sarcasm and candidness, Izzy often speaks her mind, which has occasionally landed her in hot water due to her lack of a filter. She practically lives at their house, becoming like a second child to David..
But Danny is harboring a secret. He wants to confide in his dad, yet he's afraid of how his father will react and how it might alter their relationship.
Danny hesitantly enters the living room, where his dad is engrossed in a TV show.
"Dad, do you have a moment? I need to talk to you."
David turns off the TV and faces his son.
"Sure, champ, you know I always have time for you son."
Danny takes a deep breath, feeling a mix of nervousness and fear as he sits down on the couch next to his dad.
"It's...it's about something important. And I don't know how you're going to react."
David can clearly see something is bothering his son and he starts to feel a little worried. He puts his hand on his shoulder.
"Danny, you know you have always been able to tell me anything, I love you and nothing you have done will change that."
Danny feels a lump in his throat as he listens to his dad's reassuring words. He looks down at his hands, fidgeting with his fingers before finally speaking.
"I...I've been keeping a secret from you, dad. Something that I've been hiding for a while now."
David looks at his son, thinking he may know what this is about, and prepared himself on what he would say if Danny turned out to be gay.
"Its ok son you can tell me."
He tells his son with a look of understanding. Danny looks up at his dad, meeting his gaze for a moment before quickly looking away again tear's forming in his eyes.
"I...I'm not sure how to say this, but I've been struggling with something for a while now. It's not something that's easy for me to admit, and I don't know how you're going to take it."
He swallows hard, his heart pounding in his chest. David looks at his son, and holds his hand. Danny feels a small sense of comfort as his dad takes his hand, but it doesn't completely ease his nerves. He takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself before finally saying the words out loud.
"Dad, I...I identity as a female, and I want to live my life as a girl."
Danny looks at the floor, afraid to look at her father. As Danny drops that bomb on her father, David is shocked beyond words.
Danny waits anxiously for her father's response, the silence feeling like an eternity. She glances up at him, her heart pounding in her chest as she sees the look of shock on his face. David squeezes Danny's hand, and starts to speak.
"Son..... Honey," realizing son is no longer the right word. "I-I don't know what to say, I thought you were going to come out as gay, I had prepared myself for that, I was not expecting this."
Danny looks at her dad with a mix of relief and fear, still waiting for his reaction. Hearing him use "honey" instead of "son" gave her a small glimmer of hope.
"I know it's unexpected, dad," she says softly, "and I understand if it's hard for you to wrap your head around it. But I'm still me, I'm just...a girl now."
"Danny my son and I have always been close, he was my best friend, and I loved him very much."
A lump develops in her stomach not understanding why her father is saying his son instead of saying you.
David looks into her eyes and with a warm smile says.
"Now I have a new daughter to love just as much."
Tears well up in Danny's eyes as her father's words sink in. She feels a wave of relief wash over her, and a mix of emotions flood her heart. no longer able to hold her emotions, Danny srarts to cry and wraps her arms around her dad's neck and gives him a tight hug.
"I love you too daddy."
As he hugs his new daughter, tears well up in his eyes.
"Oh, baby, this must have been hard deeling with this alone."
"I wasn't all alone, dad, Izzy helped me through this."
David pulls away from the hug, a look of understanding on his face.
"Izzy, of course," he says with a nod. "She's always been a good friend to you."
"Tell you the truth, Danny. I always thought you two would eventually become romantically involved. I thought you would make a great couple. But be sure to tell her how much I appreciate the friend she has been to you all these years.
Danny blushes slightly at her dad's comment about her and Izzy being a couple.
"I...yeah, she's been there for me through everything. And I appreciate her so much. She's the one who helped me figure out who I am."
"Oh and it's Danielle now, but you can still call me Danny, but Danni with an I."
David just smiles down at her.
"You got it, kiddo. I'm here to help you in any way I can during your transition."_
Danni smiles, feeling grateful for her dad's acceptance and support.
"Thank you, dad," she says softly, wiping away her tears. "It means a lot to me that you're willing to help."
"Well, you're going to need a new wardrobe unless you want to continue dressing like a tomboy?"
David says to his new daughter.
Danni chuckles at her dad's comment, feeling a little embarrassed but also amused.
"Yeah, I guess I do need a new wardrobe," she says, looking down at her oversized hoodie and jeans. "I never really cared much about fashion before, but now I want to look cute and feel good about myself."
"Call Izzy I'm taking you shopping and we're going to need her to help you pick out some cute clothes."
David tells Danni.
Danni's eyes light up at the mention of shopping and with her best friend.
"Yes! I'll call her right now!"
With enthusiasm, she grabs her phone and dials Izzy's number, eager to get started on her new wardrobe.
David pulls up to the mall where Izzy is standing, waiting excitedly for her best friend. As Danni and her dad pull up to the mall, she catches sight of Izzy beaming with excitement. Without hesitation, she unbuckles her seatbelt, hops out of the car, and rushes over to her best friend, wrapping her in a warm, tight embrace.
"Izzy! I'm so glad you're here!"
David walks up to Izzy and gives her a hug.
"Thank you, dear, for being there for Danni."
Izzy hugs Danni's dad back, a warm smile on her face.
"Of course, Mr. L," she says, returning the hug. "Danni's my best friend, and I'll always be there for her."
David hands Danni his credit card, "You girls take your time and have fun, Izzy I know you're going to help my little girl become as cute as you. And please pick an outfit for yourself as well."
Izzy blushes at Danni's dad calling her cute.
Danni's eyes widen as her dad hands her his credit card, and she looks up at him in surprise.
"Really? You're letting me use your credit card?"
Izzy grins, feeling excited about the shopping trip ahead.
"You can count on me, Mr. L," she says, taking Danni's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'll make sure we have a great time and find the perfect outfits for both of us."
With an amusing look David says to Izzy
"I'm sure you will Izzy."
"Ok I'm going to let you girls do your thing, call me when your ready to get picked up. And then hopefully Izzy would be interested in coming home with us and finally turn you into a girl."
Danni's heart skips a beat at her dad's suggestion.
"You mean she can stay over for dinner and maybe even help me with my...transition?"
Izzy looks at Danni, her eyes widening slightly.
"Oh, I'd love to stay for dinner and help out, Mr. L," she says, her voice a little shaky with excitement.
"Well I can't help you with your make up sweety." He says with a smile.
Danni blushes at her dad's comment, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement.
"Yeah, that's true," she admits, giggling. "I guess I'll have to rely on Izzy for that part."
A few hours later they all get back home, and after two hours of the girl's locked in Danni's room, hearing giggling, and "oh you look so cute." And "try this one on."
Izzy comes out
"Are you ready to see your new daughter Mr. L?"
David, who had been sitting in the living room watching TV, looks up as Izzy emerges from Danni's room.
"Absolutely," he says, standing up from the couch and walking over to her. "I can't wait to see how beautiful she looks."
As Danni comes out her David's jaw troppes to the floor. He first noticed her cute, dare say sexy outfit, black midriff crop top with black skirt, looking to her face, Izzy did a great job on her makeup, even styled Danni's long blonde hair that she always kept in a ponytail. Almost speechless he managto say
"You look beautiful."
Danni blushes at her dad's reaction and twirls around, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as her dad's eyes roam over her new appearance.
"Thank you, dad," she says shyly, blushing slightly under his gaze. "Izzy did an amazing job, don't you think?"
"Yes, she has done an amazing job."
Danni beams with pride, feeling grateful for her best friend's skills.
"She really did," she agrees, walking over to Izzy and giving her a big hug. "I couldn't have done it without you."
Izzy hugs Danni back tightly, a huge smile on her face.
"You're welcome," she says, pulling away from the hug and looking at Danni with a mix of admiration and affection. "You look absolutely stunning, Danni."
David puts his arms around the girl's.
"So what do my two best girl's want to do for dinner?"
